Chapter 2

After building the five rooms Alex sends out his foxes into the surrounding area to see his basic environment. He seems to have appeared at the base of a mountain that is next to a forest. The forest has little in the way of settlements and has game trails at best. The mountain looked as if it was a border between the forest and a large tundra. Flat and white as snow it had very little signs of life. If Alex had sent his humanoids to scout they would have gotten lost if they didn't have a connection to him. But the foxes' superior senses made it so they easily traversed the rough terrain, while they gathered a small amount of valuable plants.

As Alex was absorbing the herbs he was shocked to find the Blood Willow branch, unfortunately he couldn't recreate the full grown tree. Luckily the branch had seeds on it so he could grow one. He got one of his humanoids to carefully harvest the seeds and plant them in a stalagmite he turned into rich soil and moved into his core room he also turned the floor of his dungeon into similarly rich soil. The stalagmites moved from the ground to the ceiling turning them into stalactites while the ground turned smooth and flat. He grew a waterberry bush inside each one of his rooms, he then had his humanoids harvest the bush that was in his core room and put the berries inside a bowl shaped hole in the grofast He then dropped a stalactite into the hole to crush the berries and release the water inside. He moved the water to the seeds and as soon as the water saturated them, they sprouted and grew fast. The mana enriched soil boosted the level of growth for the small trees making it so it didn't need light to grow. Alex began to move the trees into circular formation around his core. While he was doing that something walked into his cave. It was similar in shape to a fox but smaller and had a white fur coat very different from the scarlet red coats of the foxes Alex had. As soon as it entered Alex got a notification from his interface.

"Interface, why do females of a species cost more mana than males?"

All females carry a seed of life within themselves. It is through them that a species thrives or falters. Most of the species that you have available for creation prize their females making it so as they care for their young and females more than themselves, or as you might understand it as, a protective instinct meant to further the species instead of the individual.

"Okay so why does the Humanoid selection say that the species is unnamed?"

Because it is a new species on this world none have known or seen any like it thus they are not named as a species. As their creator you must give them a name they can unified behind so they can understand the difference between them and the other races.

"Hmm...so because they're new I get to name them. Okay let's call them Demihumans. It's a mixture of demon and hemi with humans added on to the end because they're at least part human."

Name of species registered, now when adventurers use identification skill their race will appear as well any personal names their families or tribes give them. New information about Demihumans is now available.

Demihumans

Demihumans are born with a long sinuous spaded tail. Through their childhood they slowly develop their horns until they reach puberty when the horns are fully developed. When puberty begins their wings start to grow out from between their spine and shoulder blades and will continue to grow until they reach a nine feet wing span. Their bones are hollow and are lighter but not harder than mithral. The pollex bone on their wings is enlarged allowing a spike to be formed and be used as an extra weapon in combat. Their skin can range from a dark grey, dark red or a pale white-blue. Their skin matches the color of their magical affinity darkness, fire, ice. If they have a secondary affinity it will show up in their hair color (same affinities). They have small fangs and claws extending half an inch from the meat of their fingers. They stand about 5'6'' and weigh about 150-200 pounds. They have a high metabolism so it is hard to gain fat or get drunk. Their muscles are compacted in a way that  if they have little to no muscle mass they are still 3 times stronger than the average human. A Demihuman's pregnancy can last up to 4 months, their childhood lasts up to 6 months, puberty lasts another 6 months, complete wing growth lasts 9 months. (Including puberty) Their life span is about 500 years.

"Wow, that is a lot of information. It's a little hard to process. Well I'm going to expand my dungeon and make the rooms bigger so they have some more room to move around."

Alex increased the size of each of the rooms to 24m long, 15m wide, and 12m tall.
