Like she promised Hikura and all her guildmates got rid of every last one of the members of the guild within the city. Like shadows they entered their HQ and one by one killed them off starting with the enemies Assassins then mages and so on. It’s a shame the Head wasn’t there. Seem he/she still hadn’t arrived so he was still at large.
There was a huge mess outside after the players got calls from friends that they were all killed. The men outside were all furious and wanted to enter but were blocked by the reinforcements by the churches paladins and animal units.
The animals were put all over the place with fox on the roof and walls while the rabbits made a wall in front of all the gates. With 16 commanders there were 4 at each gate, each of them had done special training with their partners so they would grow faster to match their own rank. They were also the first to start training animals so they were all near the four originals strength. All of them at boss class level so it was easy to make the foreigners give up on the idea of raiding the town with a large army of high level paladins and equally as strong animals and city guards.
With tension growing between the guild and city forces we started our plan.
With a few trusty spellcasters I taught them the basics that I could to draw a magic circle and through the city alleys we set up many traps all over the place. It wasn’t a spell that would activate instantly but actual traps. They way they worked was that you use mana only to make the circle and it begins absorbing mana from the air. The longer it stays hidden the more power it will store. I didn’t have time to teach them how to think up of spells so I had a few scribs help me draw a few spells we could use like restraint spells and AoE spells.
I flew around town and with my large mana pool and experience with magic circles I was able to set up 80% of the traps at the places we wanted in 2 days.
During this time we kept reinforcing the walls as more and more people arrived at the gates and soon war banners bearing the their guild insignia were lifted. I was on one of the towers along the walls.
Kitsu was there with me while Rook was helping to guard the now closed and locked gates. Those who weren’t able to evacuate were led through the sewers of the city out a good 20 km away from the city.
With the city clear of all distractions and with only around 2000 city guards 1000 royal guards and 1000 paladins with around 500 animals with only 34 being boss class we were out numbered. Though it was said to be around 5000 guild members in their guild the number we see could quite well be 10,000. We only spotted the White Wing hero’s insignia but I was sure that this was the forces of an alliance and not a single guild. They had already stopped hiding their siege weapons which lined the further cleared forest edge.
Catapults, Ballista, Trebuchet, what was a siege weapon they had built it and it was all around the city. The city guards were already low on moral because of the numbers. Weak willed weaklings. If they are going to be affected by this then don't join a profession that will put you in the middle of this.
From my vantage point I could more or less rank the enemy. Lowest level I would wager to be around 150 while the highest would be the guild master who I spotted at the east gate which is the one Hugh, Raio and I were guarding. With two other commanders and Michel himself us 6 plus each of our partners which made 18 in total were all high leveled and could demolish a great number of them without trying much. I’ve been going over Dok’s notes and looked for combos that would seem safer than the one I had made before. I completely discarded all demon magic from the mix because it was too dangerous to use in a multigram spell. Dangerous for me that is. The rebound for that spell that used by a demon with high fire affinity was too much so i’m thinking ten or more times before making the spell.
At the moment I was stocking three small pouches which stayed attached to the strap that held my scythe. These pouches were enchanted to hold a large number of my mana bullets. One pouch was made with circle magic spells while the others had normal ones. The number I got from this was 120 normal bullets and 32 spell bullets.
As I sit on the roof of the watch tower the walls were filled with archers and mages. As we watched I saw a man adorned with the most expensive armor i’ve ever seen. It was clearly the guildmaster. His looks were that of a young man in his early twenties with dark blonde hair and a prince charming look. His air of nobility and cockiness also showed that he was rich at the very least or he thought of others as less than himself.
With my sharp eye sight I saw the smug look on his cocky face.
Baal: I want to wipe that grin off his face.
Kitsu: As do I. I believe a trigram circle would be a nice declaration of war after he boasts about himself..
Baal: Which spells do you think would be nice.
I open the book and flip through the spells and army my gun with 4 circle spell bullets and finish them with the proper spell I wanted. They were Fire Bomb, Earth Bomb and Geyser. I was anxious because of the possibilities.
As the guildmaster neared I looked down and spotted the commanders and the king, King Mavis Rufus VI. He is a kind, honorable and honest man which works to better the kingdom and not the nobility. If you ask he serves more the people then they serve him.
Baal: Lets get down and ready. Attacks can come from anyway at any time so its best we be near the most key person to protect.
Kitsu: Yes master.
I stand up and jump off the tower with Kitsu behind me. We land on the tower and walk until we are next to Raio, Hugh and Michel.
Baal: Hey after the human finishes boasting and the king talks can I attack him. I already have a few spells ready for a spell.
The king looks my way.
Mavis: Ah You’re Baal correct. We weren’t able to meet since you were preparing the town.
Baal: Its a pleasure you highness.
Mavis: Please just Mavis. For someone so close to Michel I don't want to be formal with. Any way you said after his boasting.
Baal: Ya that guy gives me the feeling of a typical narcissist. I’m sure he will ramble on about how great his forces are and how we are surrounded on all sides and we should just surrender and we will get a quick death.
Mavis: ...If he starts please quiet him them.
Baal: As you wish your highness.
I said that with a grin and said it like it was an order. He smiled and looked at the man approaching. When he reached half way he stopped on his horse.
Guildmaster: Greetings Mavis. Pleasure seeing you in good health.
Mavis: ...Do not call me by my name Law. Gathering forces to overthrow me after doing so much for this kingdom.
Law: Come on you highness. You don't think I did that out of kindness of my heart. I did that to prepare this kingdom for me. The crappy place this place was years back has grown so much after I helped the kingdom.
Baal: “Can I fire he is pissing me off.” I whispered
Mavis: “Not Yet” He replied. “Get on with it. What do you want.”
Law: Why ask its the same as any great leader would ask. Surrender or die.
*Bang Bang Bang*
With three shots three large circles appeared 10 meters to the front right, left and straight behind Law.
*Bang*
Shooting right below his horses legs the final circle was cast and a huge circle encased the whole field.
Mavis: I will have to say no.
”The Rage of the Earth, The Wrath of Fire, I summon thee. Rise forth, lifeblood of the world, from your depths and erase those unworthy to walk this plane.” [Nature's Vengeance]
The main circle changed from glowing white to a bright red with a few brown spots.
The horse Law was riding rose up on it hind legs and almost bucked him but he controlled it and spurred it away and got past the smaller circle when the spell activated. The ground at the center of the circle bloated and rose several meters up, about half the size of the 20 meter tall walls. Black smoke began rising up from it before all of a sudden the top blew.
Like the spell’s chant the lifeblood of the world rose forth with all its glory and rage. I had warned the mages after I jumped from the tower to prepare powerful barrier magic and to pass that along. The magma rose forth and shot to all sides. But with a large number of mages doing chorus magic with barriers they were able to make immensely powerful barriers along most of the east wall protecting it from the AoE spell.
Baal: Wow it worked like a charm. Shame I couldn’t kill that guy out right.
Mavis: I guess what Michel told me about that horrid spell wasn’t fabrication of his imagination...or yours.
Baal: I would never lie about that spell. Its too traumatizing to lie about.
He nodded and looked back. Since the spell had done what I wanted, which was to cause massive damage for a bit. I willed the spell to deactivate and the large mound stopped spewing lava and it slowly closed up and shrank again but left a small hill where it once was.
I grinned at the results. 70% of the siege weapons on this side were completely destroyed. A good number of their forces, give or take 30%, were burnt by the spell and died. The place was in disarray. I looked through them and spot the guild master. Over his head was a clear to see 70% to his health. Oh I guess I did get him if at least with the shockwave from the explosion.
Law: *huff* Attack. Destroy them. Fire all you can and destroy the walls and kill them all, no matter who they are.
Mavis: Men its time for battle the forces are weak and un united this is our change.
After the display of power which was on their side the city guards and royal guard’s moral was high. They roared as the gates open and they rushed out.

Nature's Vengeance

Baal: So the overheat is less for this spell, maybe its the circle spell bullets I use that the gun can't handle. the large amount of mana must cause a lot of heating up. Their is also no rebound for this. Must be the lack of demon based magic like [Hell Flame].
I put the gun in its holster before pulling the scythe out and donning my helm.
Baal: Shall we join the fun Kitsu.
Kitsu: Of course master.
Lifting up the scythe it drew the attention of the paladins.
Baal: Its time guys for us to show them the power of our goddess. The Honor we hold in serving her, The faith we have in the blessings she gives us, The protection she gives us. Let's all fight with all we have and protect our beloved with the light of our goddess.
Just like the guards the paladins let out an intense roar which was loaded with pressure from the excitement that let it loose.
I jumped down the wall into the middle of those leaving and right next to Rook.
Rook: Master is a born leader.
Kitsu: A great prince that can lead the masses.
Baal: Lets got.
Turning to face the gates we run out.
Outside we could see from far the foreigners running towards us and colliding with guards. I grinned and sprouted my wings. The armor on my back changed slightly to allow it to pass and I took flight but stayed low so I could avoid the magic. I coated my scythe with my mana as I fly over our forces. As I neared the front I gave one more strong flap of my wings and made my body flip so I was going in feet first. Entering the fray by slamming into a poor guy who just happened to be at my landing point. I landed on his gut and dug him into the ground crushing many of his innards. With the momentum of the fall I let it all go into the scythe as it flew in a circle around me as I spun cutting up those around me in an instant. I was quickly marked one of the most dangerous and the enemies made space around me as I got into a pose ready to attack.

Though a few were reluctant, a warrior came forth.
Warrior: You spineless weaklings. He is just an NPC just gang up and kill him.
Baal: I hope you think of me as more than a game program as I’m wiping your blood off my scythe.
They started muttering but I didn't give the walking tin can time to react. In three lunges I covered the 10 meters between me and him and we collided with scythe and great sword.
Warrior: This will be fun. I hope you entertain me.
Baal: You took the words right out of my mouth.
Kitsu PoV
I watch as master flies away and begins tearing up the enemies just on his landing and begins his fight with a bulky man. My grin stretches to its limits. This is where a demon fox should be. In the middle of war, fighting, blood. The smell of blood and ash entices my instincts to attack but I hold myself together because I am no longer a normal animal and I would hurt to many alleys. With that I shall follow master.
With my master of fire I can cover my legs with flames to increase my speed. Doing so I race through the knights guards and paladins to the right of where master is and jump over the wall of humans and land on a human whose head I bite into and twist to kill instantly.

As my paws touch the ground I activate [Flame Field]. It spreads from my paws about 5 meters in all directions and since i’m quite a bit into the enemy forces I dont need to hold back much my strength i’ve been holding back for a long time.
The humans are funny to watch as they try to escape my flame field. The fires from my flames are much stronger because of my affinity. With the area cleared of humans I grin at them and look at those looking at me with weapons drawn.
*Crack*
The crack draws my attention to a pair of women behind me. They were dressed in leather and metal armor and each had a short sword in their right hand and a whip in the left.
Kitsu: Beast tamers
Woman 1: Looks like we get to tame something good while we are here.
Woman 2: I know. Who would have thought we would find a tailed fox here. And its not only him but look so many.
I turn to them and snarl while baring my fangs.
Kitsu: As if I would be tamed by two cheap whores like you. Only my master and those of the church can give me commands.
Woman 1: hehehe HE TALKED!!
Woman 2: We are so rich.
The both unwind the whips and give it a flare and make it snap to try and intimidate me.
In response I unfold my five tails and stretch them out and make fox fires appear at the end of all of them.
The girls grin as I snarl at them before I start to fire my flames at them.
Rook PoV
Master and Kitsu have begun. Battles are fun. Fighting powerful enemies. Weak enemies aren’t worth it. Must draw out the strong.
I spin my drill and digging underground I drill my way to the other under my enemies. I make spell in my horn and touch the ground. Below my feet and through my horn I feel the earth strike the weak just above me. I dig myself out straight up and find myself within many large earth spikes I created.
I feel my thirst for their blood race through me as I let out a powerful roar and with my drill horn spinning I launch myself into the herd of weak humans. As I come to a stop I claw at them and stomp on them.
As they start backing up I stand on my hind legs and hit the ground below me and around me more spikes spring out taking the lives of many of the weak ones.
Rook: Must find strong ones. Bring the strong.
???: Did you call. Rodent.
As I turn to the voice I see a heavily clad human. He was tall for a human and his armor was made to fight the most powerful enemies. I grinned showing my large rabbit teeth and the fangs I gained after I grew large. I let out a pur before it turned into growl.
Rook: Hehe Human strong. Will be fun.
He lifts his Tower shield that covers his whole body and puts it between me and him. My drill is spinning intensely at my anticipation as I get ready to rush him.
He is the only one in my sight and I will not lose him. I will kill him with all my power that I have held back.
My two small horns begin glowing as a ball of black flame appears in front of my drill. I’m grinning as I let all the force I have gathered in my legs push me forward. My drill enters the flame and makes it start spinning around it and my body as I fly at great speeds at the human. My horn meets his shield with a screech.
Mavis PoV
Incredible. I’m still standing on the wall watching the fight and guiding my soldiers but i’m left speechless at the young boy who caused that great spell before. Him and his partners all dived right into the heart of our enemies forces and killed dozens if not hundreds by simple going their. Their power rivals the commanders. No they are stronger. I think they may have held back. What power these three have.
Michel: Hahaha your face says it all Mavis.
Mavis: Michel did you know the boy had this much power?
Michel: I guessed something like this as his max power but I know better. The boy isn’t even at half power yet. The other two, his partners, I also believe them to be hiding their real power.
Raio: That boy grew far too fast for his own good.
Hugh: Hahaha I find it entertaining watching him tear apart our enemies while he is fighting that Knight. But what’s interesting is Rook against that juggernaut.
Juggernaut’s are the greatest tanks of the warrior class. They specialize in the most powerful defense and use it to their advantage. But because they need extremely heavy armor they are slow but having someone to stand in front to receive a killing blow and not die from it is someone you will always turn to.
Raio: I find Kitsu’s fight ironic. Those two are the Beast twins. The nastiest beast tames we know. They take taming to the extreme and aren't afraid to get dirty.
Michel: I’m kind of scared that those match ups will cause disaster to happen. Those three can already be considered forces of nature with the power they hold.
Mavis: Is it true that the boy is a demon?
Michel: Not just a demon. A Higher Demon and son of the Underworlds demon lord. The power and skill he displays are the talent he inherited by his father. We drilled him with human morals and know he is a good boy so don't be afraid he will bite back. He is like family.
Mavis: even family can bite back.
Michel: Of course especially if you attack them.
Michel gave me a glare loaded with pressure I have long since forgotten the feeling of. To think he would display his pressure to me in defense of the child. I guess if he would go to that extent I can believe him.
I hope our forces don't get too much damage.
Michel: All commanders please go assist.
Commanders: Yes sir.
Michel: Now that that is done you can relax that worried face of yours. All commanders and their partners are on Baal’s level. I had all commanders start training partners first and with intense training to get them to catch up to the kids. They will completely flip the tide of the battle. If anything happens we still have 2 trump cards.
Mavis: …
My eyes land on the boy who was causing mass destruction to the enemies.
Mavis: The boy that will cause change. I can see what Michel meant
