Chapter 99: There Must Be Supplies Before the War.(*^ω^*)ゞ

It was a massive vertical pupil that made fear arise in the heart.

The pupil, black like an abyssal fissure, sat at the center, surrounded by a translucent orange.

This enormous serpent eye observed the humans on the ground from above.

Like a superior creature observing inferior beings, its sinister and domineering aura made anyone feel as if they were in a cold chamber.

In the next moment, that enormous humanoid creature, apparently without vocal organs, let out a furious roar.

Then, it raised its fist and slammed it down onto the ground.

"Boom—"

After a violent tremor, a huge fissure appeared on the ground, covered with dust and debris.

The wall, built with so much effort by the humans and reinforced with magic, didn’t hold up before the giant.

The humans, along with the wall, were crushed.

But that wasn’t their end.

Tentacles emerged from the black creature’s body, wrapping around the bodies and pulling them inside.

It was as if they became part of the monster.

As it consumed more humans, the monster continued to grow.

Perhaps fire attacks would work, but with the size of that creature, human magic was just an insignificant spark.

Even when it hit the monster, it didn’t react, it just kept moving forward, unstoppable.

The worst part was that it wasn’t the only monster.

In the distance, there were others, all devouring and advancing.

"These creatures are beyond what humanity can face."

Eric, commander of the first human army, gripped his large sword, staring at the creature, powerless.

"Everyone, fall back!"

He gave the order, even willing to die, but he couldn’t send his men to certain death.

Many had families, wives, and children.

If they died on the battlefield, so be it, but he couldn’t send them to a certain death.

Now, the only hope was the God of Light.

Thinking about this, Eric looked up at the clouds, where the God of Light was.

When would he realize the gravity of the situation and act?

......

Elsewhere.

The leaders of the other races, including Sheryl, were gathered.

"Everyone, the objective of this battle is simple: kill the one who calls himself the God of Light, and the fight ends."

Shirley was preparing for battle, but, in her style, it wasn’t anything formal.

"This is a true god, you know? My mother, at my age, never killed a god!" said Tiffany, floating, more excited than nervous.

"It’s true, but we’re still young. Killing a god seems a bit rushed...", Norma said, half-submerged in her bubble of water.

"If we kill a god now, we’ll be stronger than our ancestors, right?" Sylvia sharpened her claws.

"But, there’s only one god. After we kill him, how will we split the rewards?" Rosamund was already thinking about what to do after the victory.

"Hey, be more serious. This is a god! Show some respect," said Shirley, exasperated.

"So... are you going to tell us your plan to invade his realm?" asked Karina.

To kill a god, it was essential to prevent him from escaping to his realm.

Within his realm, the god was even more powerful.

"Well..."

Even with all eyes on her, Shirley hesitated to reveal it.

"Trust me. If I said we can get in, then we can."

Karina understood the message.

Shirley wouldn’t reveal the secret.

The method of restoring her body, the ability to create black monsters, and the way to invade the divine realm – these powers weren’t from her clan but something Shirley acquired.

These powerful and inexplicable abilities really had no price?

Karina noticed subtle changes in Shirley.

She knew Shirley wouldn’t speak.

But, regardless of the cost, she would stand by her side.

"It’s already started. It won’t take long for the God of Light to act. Let’s prepare," said Shirley.

Then, each took out their precious items for the battle: water from the Fairy Lake, shells with pearls, a beating heart, and something green like a bamboo shoot...

Sacred items from each race were brought out.

"Eat these items, and let’s fight!"

For Shirley, "eating" was a way to increase power for the battle.

As the leaders of the other races prepared, the God of Light finally noticed the situation.

Thinking it was just a common invasion, the God launched a ray of light, hitting the black monster’s chest.

The evil eye was pierced, and the monster dissolved into a puddle of sludge.

But it didn’t end there.

The black sludge began to move, not to form another monster, but to join with the next one...
