Chapter 14: The Hero, The Guide, and The captured children (1)

Amidst the muffled screams within a certain make shift tent, the other children had fully realized that their elaborate plan had failed.

So the only thing they can do is proceed with phase 2 much earlier than expected.

They would have to resort to killing all the thugs present, while they were still asleep.

But even that was a failure as some of the thugs already woke up due to the notification sent by the night guard that Daesiy and Noerand was in charge of.

The children were all helplessly subdued.

But it seems that a simple capture was not enough to satisfy the thugs' anger as one of them decided to lay a hand on a child.

Seeing so, the Hero couldn’t help but go out from their current hiding spot and thus confronted the perverted thug.

Resulting in getting swiftly captured by the remaining men.

Held up by two burly men in the arms, the Hero clearly unfazed warned the perverted bastard that was only a few steps away. “Hey Pedo. You better stop what you’re doing now or else.”

“Ha?”

“I said stop right now. And shut up.”

“Heh! You’re even shaking and yet you ask me to shut up? All bark and no bite-“

“Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. "SHUT UP.”

As if a single thread holding up a huge burden was cut, the Hero lost all reason and snapped.

What happened next was all a blur as in a short blink of an eye the surrounding men were reduced to nothing but swollen blueberries.

A couple of twisted bones here and there as purple bruises cover their skin all around.

It was a miracle that they hadn’t been turned into minced meat.

The sight was truly awe-inspiringful.

Snapping out of his momentary daze, the Guide finally called out to the crazed Hero.

“…HERO!”

Flinching at the sudden call, the Hero barely stopped beating up one of the brutes to pieces. “…huh?”

“That’s enough, they’re already badly beaten. Let’s go, help me carry the children.”

“Sorry…. Sor…ry. So…rry. Sorr…y. I’m so-“ Dazed, the Hero could only repeatedly mutter in defeat as his head was hung low and his eyes muddled with a certain darkened feel.

“Snap out of it.” With the Guide’s indignant voice, the Hero finally regained bits of clarity in his eyes.

“Ah.. right. Sorry. What was that again? Our dear guide~” Returning to the usual carefree smile, it was as if a hard reboot suddenly hit the Hero’s head as his face was now fully devoid of the lost and crazed expression he had before.

“…Carry the sleeping children.”

“Do I really have to? They have their own feet right?”

“They’re all sleeping. I had put them to sleep, its way better than having to watch your rampage earlier.”

“Ah right, my bad about that. But dear guide~ there’s about 25 of them and only one of me. How do I carry them?”

“Put them all on that artifact and make sure they don’t fall. I’ll drive.” Pointing to the big machine, that seemed to resemble a huge “drill” back in the Hero’s world, the Guide swiftly made his way to its interior and started the “engine.”

“Ookay~ Roger!”
