"O brave Hero, please... We beg of you to save this world"
A King sitting down on a domineering throne unhesitatingly bowed his head as he stared at the confused youth summoned through a couple meters wide magic circle.
The prophecy has never been a lie and the tragedy had continued on for many decades and has even reached the present era.
The King then let out a deep sigh as the wrinkles on the corner of his eyes were now more noticeable than ever.
Old and tired the King was nearing the end of his life yet he knew that it is within his duty to summon a Hero and stop the horrible future stated, from coming true.... Just like his predecessors once did.
"Where... Am I??? Woah! Cosplayers???"
Waking up from a seemingly long slumber, a golden haired youth began to hastily assess his surroundings.
"Please calm down Hero, this world is a world different from your own yet please understand that we are pressed for time.."
The King then casted the [Soothing] spell that calmed the panic stricken youth.
"Time..??? World?? Huh?! Don't tell me I was isekaid!?"
Finally coming to terms with his predicament, the youth one-sidedly jumped to conclusions and even further conclusions.
"...Isekaid?? Regardless of that, this is indeed a different world but we must make haste."
"For what exactly??"
The youth now finally looking at the King, questioned with all his being.
"The Demon King has spread his notorious influence on the land and we must stop him before he fully destroys what is left."
The King could only reply in a somber yet serious tone in hopes in getting the desperation across to the Hero…their only hope.
"Wait hold on a second! I have no powers or skills of whatever! I am an ordinary human being like you all are"
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Clearly flustered, the youth could only wave his arms in denial as he knew first hand the limits of his ability.
"Yes, but beings from another world far surpasses any of this world's inhabitants in terms of potential"
Putting on a serious face, the Hero stared straight into the King's eyes as if to measure his sincerity and truthfulness.
Yet with a blink of an eye, the serious look was now replaced with an easy going and gentle expression...fully showcasing the youthfulness of the young man as he replied with a smile and slight confusion present in his tone.
"So you guys just need to train me till I could somehow defeat the Demon King or something??"
"Yes indeed, you will be taught by the Knight Commander and the Head Mage."
Scratching his head, the Hero could only helplessly accept the task given to him.
"Uh alright... I don't have a choice do I... Also when will I be able to go back to my world "
Deep silence then befell upon the room, perhaps they didn't know of the method or perhaps they deliberately kept quiet just to prevent the Hero from abandoning their world, so no one dared utter a word.
The throne room's illumination started to dim as the shadows now hid the King's expression.
The King then replied in a tone that was hard to describe.
"... Once you defeat the demon king."
"Oh, alright." Perhaps sensing the King's intents, the youth could only feign ignorance as he followed the attendants outside the throne room.
The days then passed on as the grumbling Head Mage helplessly provided the Hero with his knowledge and the enthusiastic Knight Commander drilled sword skills and techniques to the Hero.
The King, now bound to remain on his death bed could only choose to wait for death and leave a will for his successor.
"So today's the day huh... Time was short but I kinda enjoyed my time here king"
"Yes... Cough... Cough.... Haa... My body has grown weak dear Hero and now... maybe I should address you as, my dear friend.... your stories of the other world were enjoyable and interesting."
"Yeah I kinda miss it now."
"...So such a world have overcome wars and...Became at peace. Very fascinating indeed..."
"I.. could tell you more...If you'd like"
"Yes I would love that, but as I said to when we... first met... we are pressed for time, dear friend.... I am sorry for entrusting you with...cough...with this burden. The least I could do is give you this...."
The King then pulled out a slightly rusted key that once was hanging from his neck and now at the hands of the youth.
"A key?" The Hero asked as he slowly examined the rusted exterior of the key.
"Yes, it may be helpful to you...after your journey...cough.. cough!... Haa.."
"I see, no need to say more king. Just rest and close your eyes for now. Leave this to me " Clenching the key in his hand the Hero then flashed his ever sunshine like smile at the weakened King and somehow made the somber atmosphere noticeably lighter.
"Hahahaha... Cough... Haha... you never fail to surprise me dear friend."
The smile was even bright enough to spark at least a small bit of hope into the King's weary heart.
"Yeah I know, so rest well... King."
'Ah, I never got to ask my dear friend his name...' The King helplessly thought in regret as he watched the youth leave through the windows, yet he could only close his eyes as a small smile appeared on his chapped lips.
With that, the Hero started his journey.
