As the queen walked closer and closer, Paul was pressed for time. He had to stop the man from attacking the queen. But yet he didn't want to. Paul didn't come from a very well to do family, his parents always struggled to make ends meet barely being able to buy food. And it was the queen's fault, as she continued to raise the prices for bread and fish, while the wages of workers bstayed the same. Driving a lot of people in the kingdom into poverty, while the queen lived in luxury. The once kind and loving queen, turned ruthless and greedy after realising she could have made much more gold by raising prices of food and other daily essentials. So Paul had to decide if not to try save the queen from what could potentially kill her or, let it happen. But by the time Paul landed on a decision, it was too late. The man had already stood up and and started running at the queen, with the dagger in his hands. A guard lifted their spear up and, drove it straight into the mans stomach. As everybody else watched in awe, the man spit out some blood onto the guard's armour staining it light red. After pulling their spear out, the man clutched his stomach and fell to the ground as he slowly choked on his own blood. Then, the queen turned to look at the man before pointing her finger at him and lifting her finger up magically levitating him into the air, as the man moved his blood stained hands to his neck like he was being strangled by some sort of magical force. And with her other hand, she did a pulling motion. As the man's eyes turned albino white, his hands started shaking uncontrollably. And as blood started coming out of the man's mouth it slowly levitated towards the queen. And in a matter of a few seconds, the man's skin was totally pale. Leaving only, a ball of blood which the queen absorbed into her arm. And as the queen turned around and slowly made her way back to the castle, everybody stared at the lifeless man lying in the middle of the street. And Paul who was still shocked by what he just saw, came back to his senses when June knudged him in the arm. Putting her face up to his ear June said"I guess that guy really got the life sucked out of him, didn't he." As Paul backed away, he gave June a digusted look before replying"I knew you were dark but not this dark." And with one quick jab to the arm, June replied"Its funny." As paul rubbed his arm. And after the commotion died down, and the people stood up, June dragged to a narrow and dim alleyway.After the both of them found a long and dusty wooden crate to rest on, they sat down and leaned back. As June rested her head on Pauls's shoulder Paul asked"So, do you remember how we first met?" June replied "I think i do."
