The Desolate Forest was a place of death. It was truly survival of the fittest. It was evolution taken to the extreme. Monsters here had evolved to take in a heavenly energy called qi. They are called Desolate Beasts.

Each entity, be it plant, human, animal or monster, takes qi from the atmosphere and uses it differently.

Living, instinctual, intelligent creatures were given a ready made power source. No matter where, if an intelligent species is given a power source, it will thrive.

The entire planet had that power source. Imagine the chaos.

This made the competition fierce within the entire planet. Every entity was under the stimulant of qi.

But the species which went the farthest were intelligent species. This included humans.

Humans were unique. They were intelligent but stupid. Loving, compassionate, selfless while hateful, vengeful, and destructive.

They were protective of family, property and themselves. They were social, out going people. Yet, at the same time, they were solitary beings.

They enjoyed peacefulness and exciting adventures.

They were on extreme ends of every scale. Humans were truly unique.

The Desolate Forest contained beasts from the Houtian Profound Realm to the Nascent Profound Realm.

The weaker the creature or beast, the further it was from the forests center.

Yun Ning, now Aaron Fang, was in the area where Xiantian Profound Realm harboured.

When Aaron Fang awoke from what he thought was his death, he was extremely surprised. His body didn't feel weak and he was no longer bleeding. His heart was actually healed!

He estimated that he hadn't slept for more than 4 hours! What a drastic turn. From deaths door to alive and healthy!

He knew that someone had healed him. Even though he had looked around, he couldn't find the person who had saved him. He wanted to thank the person for their act of kindness.

Reluctantly, he made his way back to White Star Academy.

With blood covering his entire body, Aaron Fang truly looked like a bloody demon.

But in his mind, he was thinking about one person. Su'er.

She had attempted to kill him.

He would have his revenge. But how far would he go? Poison? Torture? Rape?

So he formulated a plan while he made his way back.

The blood covering his body had attracted the attention of the Xiantian Realm beasts surrounding him.

If it was the previous Aaron Fang, he might have had some trouble with them. He might have even lost his life.

For the current him, they didn't even slow him down.

They were just more academy contribution points in his eyes.

So he killed and collected Xiantian Realm beasts while he made his way back.

This new world was more advanced than Yun Nings previous world. In his previous world, storage devices were rare and expensive.

In this world, they were common place. They were connected with blood and qi so they could only be used by one person. Because he had technically died at the hands of Su'er, she had access to his storage bag and she had taken his valuables.

His main weapon, money, artifacts, and talismans were all taken. But she still had left him his backup sword. It was made from fine tempered steel and It was more than enough to deal with the surrounding beasts.

Each slice was a kill. Each stab was directed at the brain, heart or spinal cord. All fatal moves. Each step was made with no wasted movement. His qi consumption was almost nonexistent.

He had a lifetime of combat and life/death situations. Mere Xiantian Realm beasts weren't a match for him. Not to mention, Aaron Fang had the Cultivation of the 8th Xiantian Profound Realm.

Beasts of Xiantian Profound Realm acted on instinct and small amounts of intelligence. Against a truly intelligent creature like a human, they should be simple prey. But each year, dozens of students of White Star Academy are killed by Xiantian Realm beasts.

By the time Aaron Fang was in the vicinity of White Star academy, he had killed over 40 Xiantian Realm beasts.

With his excellent vision, Aaron Fang could tell there was quite a bit of commotion at the academy.

He smiled. Looks like news of the 4th Grade White Berry had spread. Aaron was certain that instructors were busy little bees doing all they could to get their hands on the rare treasure.

Aaron Fang could almost imagine the horror in Su'ers face when he returns.

A devilish smiled appeared on his face. It was time to ruin a girls life. He couldn't wait.
