Finally the long awaited day, system unlock day. It's been a long 8 years and I've learned a lot during that time. First is that this world is massive and I mean MASSIVE. The continent I am on if you were to put it on earth would be able to almost completely cover the pacific ocean it isn't long enough but from end to end it is longer. Unfortunately exploration outside of the continent is difficult to accomplish since sea monsters can go unchecked sea travel close to land is fine but the deeper out you go the monsters become too strong for any country to want to risk sending out their strongest just to either get lucky and make it somewhere or get unlucky and lose strong warriors needed to maintain their superiority. But I hope to one day travel across the ocean luckily I have some pretty strong friends to help me out with that. Although we aren't really that strong since we are all still kids we are the strongest bunch of kids you can find I bet! We all made a pact though that we would all explore the continent together one day. Another thing I found out is I'm not the only one with a system, you'd think it would be like all those light novels where the main character can get really OP because they are the only ones that had a system well not here I guess this world has system equality.
"Max come downstairs it is time."
"Okay sister Lillian." It's time I don't know if I should dress nice or casual. Let's go with nice I'm sure Sister Lillian will be happy that I'm dressing nice. Rushing downstairs I see Sister Lillian waiting for me with 3 others. "Hi James, Thomas, and Erika. Are you guys ready for system unlock as well!" We all live in one of churches in town. I've been here a little longer than some of the others. One thing I do know is that in some way all of us are orphans. There are 9 of us in total that live here other than the 5 of us here there's also 2 other sisters and 2 other kids here too. There isn't a lot of room for all of us but either way we all call this place home. I do wonder what my real home would have been like though. I'm sure sister Lillian knows but she won't tell me she says it's not the right time.
James a demi human with lion like characteristics, short blonde hair, and orange eyes comes running over to me first pulling me towards the rest. "Come on Max we've been waiting for you!"
"Alright children once we get to the temple you all know to be on your best behavior. Listen closely to what the Bishop has to tell you since he will explain everything about the system to you." After Sister Lillian says those words to us for probably the thousandth time this week she turns around and opened the door to head outside and each of us followed closely behind. Luckily due to how the city is organized all religious areas being churches and the temple all sit in the same area of town so we don't have to go too far. A couple of minutes later we make our last turn and enter a large courtyard with statues of different Gods all over the place followed by the temple which appears to be built like some of the temples I saw in textbooks back on Earth during the Ancient Greece period. The pillars look more ornate though and are very detailed from top to bottom and the entrance to the temple displays a painting of numerous items and symbols which I'm sure will be explained by the Bishop but if I had to guess like on Earth they are the symbols of the Gods. But taking a quick look around at the statues I don't recognize any of the ones that I saw when I was being reincarnated. However, as we get closer to the temple farther ahead I see some familiar faces. It would be nice to put a name to the faces I saw maybe I can take a quick look, "Sister Lillian is alright if we look at the statues real quick before going in." Stopping and noticing that we are still a little early as there only appears to be a couple small groups waiting outside she gives a quick sigh and turns to give us all a quick nod before we go running around and looking at all the statues. James runs over to any God's associated with battle, Thomas run over to any the Goddess of Earth and God of FIre and pays his respects to them, meanwhile Erika runs over to the Goddess of Wisdom's statue and just stands in awe at the imposing and proud figure that stands there.
Meanwhile the first one I head over to is the twelfth closest statue to the temple the plaque says "God of The Sun, Ra" interesting I didn't realize this was Ra since he didn't have the head of a falcon when I was in the room but looking closely at the statue he is still ordained in the rest of the standard Egyptian clothing he is depicted in back on Earth though so I guess there are some carryovers from the two worlds. Heading to the eleventh statue the plaque for this one reads "God of Chaos, Baal" he appears to be a man in his 50s and the rest of him appears normal, no strange clothing just two very large horns pointing out of his head. It's odd if this was put up on Earth it would be seen as being a worshipping a demon. Oh well onto the next one the tenth statues plaque reads "Dragon God, Baronith", he doesn't look like anyone that I can remember though so maybe he has different human forms then. The ninth statue the plaque says "God of Thunder, Thor" this one is easy to recognize how could I not realize who this is. Eight statue plaque "God of Destruction, Shiva" another easy one to recognize. If I couldn't recognize either of them then I would be ashamed to have come from Earth where they are some of the most popular and well known Gods there in mythology. The speeding up through the rest I see the Jade Emperor in the seventh spot, Monkey King Sun Wukong in sixth, God of Knowledge Odin in fifth, fourth is Overlord Lucifer strange he looks like a normal human not some red demon, third is God of the Seas Poseidon, second is God of the Underworld Hades. Finally coming to the last statue closest to the temple is the "Great God Zeus" he was an easy recognize as well since he was the old man I spoke to when I was getting reincarnated. "Kids come on back it is time to go inside." Sister Lillian call us back and we all rush back since although these statues are cool it's almost time.
Walking up the stairs into the temple we are guided by someone to what looks like a place service would be held and seated accordingly. After everyone is seated a door just off to the side opens and a man in full robes with detailed patterns showing some of the symbols painted onto the top of the entrance of the temple he makes his way to a podium and begins speaking to us all, "Welcome I know you are all excited to unlock your systems so before we do that there are a few things I must go over to help you all make the right choices later on. First, when your system unlocks you will be given a list of classes from the system to choose from there may be special ones based off either blessings received or the system acknowledging you and giving you a better starting class. Do I know why the system does that and why it chooses some over others? No, I don't I may be a Bishop to some of the major Gods but I do not know in what mysterious ways the system works. Second, you will be given 15 skill slots after your class has been chosen 6 will be general purpose skills and the other 9 will be based off your class you will get more skills as you level up and doing certain activities will reward you with skills. Information on your classes if it is a standard class is easy to access special classes will be more difficult as it might be the first time that class is ever chosen or ther might not be enough information on it. Last thing before I will ask the first group to come back with me to start their system unlock process remember just because your system has unlocked does not mean you should limit yourself the Kingdom we live in lets men and women choose the paths they would like to but you must devote yourself to said path other than that nothing else is asked of you. Now Sister Lillian could you and your kids follow me and we will get started." Once the Bishop calls us Sister Lillian gets up and bows to the Bishop before turning to us "Remember best behaviors now follow me." We get up and in a single file line follow Sister Lillian and the Bishop back to the door he came out of. Heading down a long hall way we pass a lot of closed doors some silent and some with loud cheering. My curiosity is making me wonder what would make someone excited enough to cheer that loud. Finally getting to a room that is left open we all go in and the Bishop closes the door behind us. It is a fairly large room no furniture but in the center of the room is a purple orb. "Now one at a time step up and put your hand on the orb and try to concentrate." James of course steps forward first and immediately puts his hand on it. Closing his eyes and taking deep breaths the orb starts to glow and a screen is displayed over top.
Name: James Cisco Race: Demi-Human (Golden Lion) Class: N/A Strength: 150 Dexterity: 80 Vitality: 100 Speed: 100 Intelligence: 40 Wisdom: 40 Mana: 180 Free Stats: 4
The Bishop takes some time to look it over and then takes a look at James, "Congratulations James you've got three stats in the triple digits already and one more almost in it as well! Some people are lucky to even have more than four stats reach double digits and even have one approach triple digits. However, demi humans are lucky to have stats go much higher when they unlock this is the advantage given due to your race generally having a harsher time earlier on. For now step back once everyone else is done I will explain to you all what each stat means exactly and then we will move onto you picking a class." James being happy to hear his stats are well above average skips back to us happily holding his head high. Next up is Thomas following the same process as James he puts his hand on the orb and concentrates.

Name: Thomas Ironbeard Race: Mountain Dwarf Class: N/A Strength: 70 Dexterity: 200 Vitality: 90 Speed: 70 Intelligence: 80 Wisdom: 80 Mana: 360 Free Stats: 40
"Very Impressive Thomas both you and James should be very proud of the stats you both have." Following after James Thomas also holds his head up high as he makes his way back to the rest of us. James give him a high five, "Nice Job Thomas we set the bar high for those two for once!" Rolling her eyes Erika steps forward and follows the process.
Name: Erika Ralonala Race: Half-Elf (High Elf, Dark Elf) Class: N/A Strength: 150 Dexterity: 500 Vitality: 80 Speed: 300 Intelligence: 600 Wisdom: 1,200 Mana: 4,050 Free Stats: 400 Major Blessing by The Goddess of Wisdom Athena
Out of only three children so far all three to have their system unlock and instantly have stats well above the average the Bishop is blown away and turns towards Sister Lillian, "Sister Lillian I'm speechless what have you had these children to do all get stats well above the average for people that first unlock the system. Maybe we should upgrade your facilities because clearly something you're doing is working wonders! Also the fact that one of your children has four stats in the triple digits and has another in the quadruple digits too is outstanding and she is blessed by a god already this is simply fantastic" Sister Lillian also confused why the kids have such high stats when she had her system unlocked she had her highest stat at only 30 but to see these kids have stats so high when she feeds them only normal food they can afford and watches them all play and has never seen them do anything out of the ordinary is also blown away but proud that the kids she treats as her own are doing so well already. Erika making her way back to the rest turns to James and Thomas and just sticks her tongue out at them before standing next to Sister Lillian. "Alright boy you're the last one come up so we can move on don't be afraid if your stats aren't as high as theirs humans usually have lower stats early on any ways." Making my way up to the crystal and placing my hand on it and concentrating I once again feel that weird sensation I felt when I was first born so I guess that means my Parents used one of these to identify me when I was born.
Name: Maximus Titus Commodus Race: Demigod (Child of the 12 Major Gods) Class: N/A Strength: 5,625 Vitality: 4,375 Dexterity: 3,125 Speed: 4,375 Intelligence:3,750 Wisdom: 3,750 Mana: 16,875 Free Stats: 20 Major Blessings by The Great God Zeus, God of the Underworld Hades, God of the Sea Poseidon, Overlord Lucifer, God of Knowledge Odin, God of Destruction Shiva, Dragon God Baronith, Monkey King Sun Wukong, God of Order Jade Emperor, God of Thunder Thor, God of the Sun Ra, and God of Chaos Baal
I know it's a stupid question but I still have to ask, "Ummm my stats shouldn't be this high right?" Completely ignored the Bishop is left speechless just staring at what he is seeing unsure if it is real or not and praying it isn't or else this will be a problem he won't want to deal with "Am I seeing the right screen this thing isn't broken right. You all see this as well right?" Everyone else nods at the same time also speechless Sister Lillian starts praying, James and Thomas start complaining that it isn't fair first Erika beats them then Max does too, and Erika is just in awe of the numbers she is seeing she thought she would have them all beat and be able to show up Chris back home but it looks like both of them have to try and one up Max now instead. Sister Lillian looks over to the Bishop once more before they continue on with the process, "Bishop is what we are seeing real this isn't some joke right I mean the other kids are already well within the realm of extraordinary but this this is monstrous!" Finally coming back to his sense the Bishop looks at everyone with a serious look "You all should keep this a secret for your own lives could depend on it! Your stats may be good even great and can provide more protection than the Sisters can anymore but you still need to learn to control these powers especially you Max. Now we still have a couple of things left before I can send you all back lets carry on shall we." Making our way back out the door we came in we head deeper into the long hallway getting closer to finishing our very eventful day and leaving me with questions I wish I could ask the Gods.
