Locusts in Alaska: Epilogue: Morty

Aza'methet stood to the side as the abomination, his superior, Morty, sat on the bridge of their ship, a living creature capable of migrating between the stars, corrupted into an interstellar vehicle for their purposes. Its insides were a hive of activity as the Alnune forced the great beast onward through the stars.

Aza'methet watched as Morty's tentacles plunged in and out of Doctor Winter's facial orifices. Aza'methets eyes raked over the abomination's body. The horrific metal covered Morty's frame with elder tears decorating it in some macabre fashion that the lesser races might find stylish. The entire ensemble made Aza'methet uncomfortable, the metal of lesser racers over the magnificent frame of an Alnune. By any right, Morty should be his inferior instead. Aza'methet had been forced to watch as Morty slaughtered any Alnune that went against him as if they were the lesser species.

Finally, Morty removed his tentacles from the human, who immediately collapsed to the ground. Gasping for breath desperately.

"Your world is quite interesting, Dr. Winters," Morty spoke, actually speaking. Aza'methet was scandalized every time he heard it.

"A world where magic is effectively a secret. Interesting, truly interesting I believe your world may be unique in the galaxy. It will make it that much easier to conquer."

Aza'methet felt Morty's mind pressing on his. Despite being an abomination with the name of the lesser Races, Morty's mind was stronger than any Alnune Aza'methet had ever met but was a horrific abomination of what an Alnune was supposed to be. Aza'methet felt images and concepts pressed into his mind as Morty gifted him more information.

"I believe this B.P.A. is what attacked our beachhead. Do you concur with your superior's conclusion?" Morty asked him telepathically.

"Aza'methet agrees with his superior." Aza'methet concurred. "The information provided about this B.P.A. matches with what my drones observed."

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

"I see; the loss of the beachhead and our hives are a minor issue, but this B.P.A. knowing of us and potentially searching for our other bases on their planet is more concerning."

"Please ...:" Doctor Winters groaned.

Aza'methet felt Morty turn his attention back to the pitiful human on the ground.

"I would like to thank you. For your assistance, Doctor Winters, the information you provided me in regards to your world and its weapons technology will be invaluable to my conquest of your world."

"I can help you .." Dr.Winters begged.

"Unfortunately, now that I have taken everything from you, I no longer have need of you."

Morty's mechanically enhanced tentacles shot forwards, piercing Dr. Winter's eyes with a sicking squelch before ripping off the top of his skull. With his brain exposed, Morty began to delicately dine on the brain of his victim as his attention returned to his ship.

Aza'methet followed his superior's gaze. Glancing down at the hundreds of Alnune working tirelessly to carry out the orders of their superiors. He felt his mind expand, taking in the true breadth of their army. The thirty other ships followed them through the void between stars. Controlling the army of Lurkers, warpers, and Ceepers. His fellows tending the high nests of the high priest of the old ones and the old ones themselves that slept on these ships, of the great beasts and horrors at their command.

And of those things that Morty had created. The great abominations sleeping below in the bowls of this ship could even drive an Alnune to madness.

Morty stood up as he made to address the crew.

"My inferiors, today is a great day. Today we separate ourselves from the collective. Today we begin our true mission of conquering a new world for the Alnune. No longer will we be forced to fight and scrap for sustenance, for after this campaign is over, we will have all the humans we will ever need. We will build ourselves a brave new world, a world from which the Alnune will once again take their rightful place as the masters of this galaxy as we once did. After this day, we will take our first steps to reclaim what is rightly ours!!"

Aza'methet watched as his fellows emoted joy and excitement in their minds. Whispers of glory and of the great feast awaiting them trailed through the air. And yet Aza'methet couldn't help but be concerned as he felt the abomination cold mechanical mind as it planned the invasion of earth.
