Chapter 8

Aromatic herbs floated around the spa. Soon after, the woman lying on the bed felt the movement. She’s so relaxed and comfy that she doesn’t want to wake up. She opened her eyes in fear, till her consciousness brought her back to the truth. Despite his dizziness, she supplied her own with sitting up. Look around the room and at the double bed where she is sitting.

“If you don’t wake up today, I’ll have to admit you to the hospital.”

Mirawadee raised her head in astonishment when she heard the voice of a young man sitting on the sofa near the balcony.

“How did you get inside my room?”

Rachata closed the book and looked up at the young woman with calm eyes.

“Your room”

“Well… yes, isn’t it?” She replied in a not very confident tone. Although the interior was the same, she felt it might not be the room she had reserved. And in her head, a question arose why he was here. She remembers the time she was arrested. Or… “You saved me, right?”

“You could start by thanking me.”

He stated this calmly as he rose and moved towards the girl on the bed. “Ham, where’s the thank you?”

Mirawadee faced the young guy who had approached him and waited for her to talk.

“Uh… Thank you so much.”

Rachata sighs, smiles at the corner of his lips, and continues to say, “Are human traffickers pursuing you? Or are you... “

The woman realized what he was saying, so she quickly covered his lips with her hand.

“No! Not in the way you think.”

The young man flinches and squints his eyes at the hand that was covering his mouth, telling her to remove it.

“sorry” Mirawadee hurriedly drew her hand back and step back, unconscious.

“Is this your room?”

“Yes, and no,” Rachata replies in a calm tone. Because in this hotel he is a partner. But he doesn’t think those people will use other partners’ connections. And he didn’t want to become involved in these issues.

“You don’t need to be aware of this.”

The woman nods her head before avoiding his gaze. Even though he had a question in his heart, he didn’t dare to ask. Did she accidentally come to her aid again? And how do you deal with them? Or is he an influential human trafficker as well?

“You’re thinking I know them. So, they will let you go.” Rachata said this in a calm voice while laughing in his throat.

Mirawadee was silent. It was as if a young man could read her mind.

“I just don’t trust it. But thank you very much. That helped me again.”

“Anyway, keep being hunted until they get them.”

Of course, if they cannot catch her, they have no way of quitting...

Mirawadee, terrified, couldn’t find a way out. She doesn’t know what to do.

“I have a method if you need to just get away from such folks.”

The young man said as he got out of bed.

“What method, or are you going to do something illegal?”

Rachata smiled and laughed, got up from the bed, turned to look at the young woman, and spoke in a calm tone. “Marry me. And I will protect you.”

Mirawadee was taken aback. It takes time for the brain to digest it to understand the meaning, and it shocked her to the point of being unable to speak.

“What… you… What did you say?”

The young man did not answer. Go straight out the door and turn to look at the girl.

“Really, would you like something to eat?”

“Ah... ah...”

Croke~

Before she could even say no, her body let out a loud cry that she almost wanted to run away. Mirawadee lowered her head and said in a low voice, “Eat.”

He smiled at the corner of his mouth and walked out to order food from the hotel immediately. After waiting over fifteen minutes, it brought in the food and served it. Mirawadee walked out of the bedroom and saw a neatly arranged dining table.

“Uh, how many is the price of food? I will pay you.” Because he had assisted frequently, she felt presumptuous.

“No need.” Rachata sat down in the chair.

She sat down and said, “I don’t want to bother you. You have saved me many times.”

“Money,” he said, “I have a lot of money.”

The young woman remains silent. However, he seems to be very wealthy. It is not unusual for this paltry sum of money to be unconcerned.

“And in exchange, what do you want me to give?”

“Marry me,” Rachata remarked calmly as he scooped food into his lips with a spoon and fork. “I do not yet have a wife.”

It certainly was not good, Mirawadee reasoned. If she is compelled to marry this guy only because he twice saved her life. There are yet other options in this world to compensate for the benefactor’s merit. Marriage is not the best answer!

“Is there anything more I can offer you in exchange?” said the woman in hushed tones. “I believe that marrying is excessive.”

“So?” He scowled, as though I were unconcerned.

Mirawadee smiles dryly and bows her head to eat silently.

“I’m not in a rush,” Rachata said, looking at her.

Ah... he paid her no attention at all. This is not what she wants.

“I’m sorry... thank you. That rescued me,” Mirawadee replied, setting the cutlery down. “If I can assist you with any other issues in the future, I will gladly do so.”

The young man looked at the woman walking out of the room. He just shook his shoulders and continued to eat the rest of the food. Now there is no need to rush anything. He was certain that she would accept to marry him soon. And, in the meantime, this tedious eternal existence will finally end.
