Ha. The plan failed. I honestly thought it would work. I mean, cats love fish, or is this world different?
After I painstakingly brainstormed for ideas, the fish and the stick were the only thing that came to my head. Back in school, I wasn't the brightest known, but a few acquaintance said I was the maturest. Maturest, is that a word?
The lion had woken up, but strange thing was, he didn't bothered to look at me, instead, he stood on his two legs and yawned, did some stretches and went to the direction, which I thought was where the lake should have been.
He wasn't even interested in the fish I caught. I worked tiredly for this, and this is how you respond? Cheh, what a pushover.
After a few minutes of wondering on how should I eat the wasted food. Wet footsteps was heard over where the lake was
*pak pak pak*
The beast came back, soaked, and he brought an abnormally large fish that looked like a swordfish by holding the fish against his back. The fish had width like him, and a length from feet to his shoulder. That is some big arse fish.
The lion's face was in pride as he looked at me. His stare switched between the puny fish that I caught and me. Ah. I see, my tribute wasn't good enough was it. He points his finger at me, and did some complex hand signs. Wait a minute, were beasts this smart in the world?
Let me try to translate what he's doing. With paws as hands, I can't figure out well what he's conveying. Two paws, and eight fingers. Hm. Fingers, I don't think cats should have fingers. (He means what are the fingers on a cat's paw called)
Okay, he points to the fish at his back, and to his stomach, and he showed a disgust face. Uhm. Undercooked fishes are bad?

"Undercooked fishes are bad?"
He shows a puzzled face as he listened to my words. Whether my voice was strange, or my guess was wrong. Wait a minute, he's an animal, of course they don't understand human speech. How silly of me. I made a nod, and he figured I understood what he showed. Thus, he continued
He points at me, and to the fish, finally he rubs his belly while showing a 'yummy' face. Like this :P. More or less. Uh, I'm great seasoning to his meal? I made a puzzled face, ah, he sighed. Then he shakes his head. Ow, this feeling of disappointing someone.
He snaps his finger a few times, maybe signifying I should pay attention. He points to me, and made gestures like he was cooking, and then points to fish. Finalizing it, he rubs his belly and made a yummy face.
Ah. I slammed my fist at my palm. I see. I should cook for him. I nod, but then showed a puzzled face at him. What do I get in return.
Its my turn. I made a horse-riding action, and then pointing at him. He took a second, and points at his back. I nodded. The beast smiled and offered a handshake. I gave him a good one, but if looked from a third person, this looked ridiculous.
Nonetheless, I got a giant lion as a.....hmm...mount slash companion? I think thats what we call friends. I think.
