Author's note: So my week has been unpleasant. Not only have I been dealing with the heat, due to having a terrible air conditioner, but I got a bit of a stomach flu as well. An apt description of my past week world be "solids go in, liquids come out!" On a side note, fuck the god damn soul cairn in Skyrim and its lack of a map. Navigating that was like attempting to read a different language with little to no context!

During the ride to the dead city, which took hours, Azad decided to question George a bit more so it wasn't just dead silence. Pun not intended.
"So what exactly are those giant knight things?" Azad asked George.
"The undead knights. To put them simply, they're are just the higher ranked knights of Tolwuun. As they were more powerful when they we turned into undead, they will naturally be more powerful than normal undead." George told Azad.
"So you're saying that the undead was that big when it was alive? Is that normal for humans here?" Azad asked doubtfully.
"What makes you think that was a human undead you fought? There are more humanoid things living in this world than humans. In fact, you'll find that humans are one of the smaller species in terms of numbers." George informed Azad as if it was obvious.
"Are there elves?" Azad asked seriously.
"They're a bit different from what your world depicts them as, but they're here." George answered amused.
"And dwarves?" Azad asked with a less serious tone.
"Yes. Don't refer to them as dwarves though. Due to them being discriminated against, the name is a touchy subject amongst their people." George warned Azad.
"Is there anymore fantasy races as well?" Azad questioned.
"Well I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise would I?" George teased.
Thinking about how he would be able to meet different intelligent species made Azad unbelievably excited. Elves especially! What self-respecting fantasy nerd didn't want to at least see a real elf once in there life?
(Took a break to take a shower here. Sorry to break your immersion, just felt this need to be said. Expect more little comments like this in future.)
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
Although Azad asked more questions regarding races and species, George refused to answer them, claiming to not want to ruin the fun of discovery new cultures. While not getting his questions answered did anger Azad, he had to admit he was getting excited about exploring this world.
"You have to make it through Tolwuun first though." George commented.
"I know... And stop reading my thoughts." Azad shot back, which only made George smile wider.
It was then that Blair, who was resting on Azad's lap, got up and began looking around. Seeing this, Azad also began searching for whatever it was that disturbed Blair. He spotted it almost immediately.
Just barley within his sight was what looked to be a dot. The dot seemed to be blocking the road.
"Please don't be something dangerous." Azad pleaded to a god other than George.
As Azad's group continued down the road and the dot became clearer, it became obvious what it was.
"That's a group of undead, isn't it?" Azad asked no one in particular.
The group numbered somewhere in the teens, containing men and women of various ages. Thinking it best to stop, Azad patted the horse beast's head and told it to stop. Once it had, he jumped off and placed Blair on the horse's head.
"You guys wait here." He told his companions before carefully walking towards the group of undead.
Although he did his best to stay out of their range of detection, one of them noticed him. The one who noticed Azad raised its arm, pointing at Azad, and let out an inhuman screech like a banshee. All the undead jerked their heads towards Azad's direction, and began charging straight towards him.
"Well fuck me." Azad muttered while raising his pickaxe, preparing to defend himself.

I know we all hate cliff hangers with a passion, but I'm still getting back into the rhythm of writing so I would like to get the feeling back before attempt the fight. Also, please give me pointers on how to fix what I have done wrong with this story so far. It is needed desperately.
