"Crap"

it wasn't a death throe it was a fucking call for help, how could I let it slip my mind after making sure I held the egg properly since I cant put in in my storage bag, I started running the opposite direction from where the howls came from.

I kept running for a few hours until I can't hear the wolves before finally stopping to look around and notice that I was lost and probably in the deepest part of the forest.

I sat down and leaned against a tree to take a breather and finally falling asleep

When I woke up it was already dark so after making a fire with a bit of difficulty I checked my status

I say to myself as I eat the rations I brought along but safety wasn't so easily attained within the forest, I once again heard the howling of the wolves, not long after I spotted 3 of them then it kept increasing, I stopped counting when there was 7 of them and ran forward but after I could even get far the ground gave in causing me to fall.

I held the egg as tightly as I could, pointed my palm to the ground and cast [fireball] , it was like dropping a match down a pit I never saw the ground and was falling faster by the second and finally kept casting [tornado] downwards hoping it would slow down my momentum, after what seemed to be an eternity I finally landed on what seemed to be water, the flow was strong not giving me any chance to swim to a nearby shore and so with the last bit of my mana I cast [tornado] one last time pushing me out of the water and onto land. Due to mana depletion coupled with the fact that I never got a proper rest I fell to dreamland...

I woke up to the sunlight hitting my eyes... After I recollected yesterday's events I frantically looked for the egg only to be relieved that it was beside me all the time.

After changing to a new set clothes and making sure I had full hp and mana I held the egg in of my arms while holding a torch, on the other hand, roamed around the dark canyon where I fell.

After a few hours, I saw a corpse... A corpse of a dragon and in chest area was a magic stone twice my size. I was overjoyed maybe [gambler's luck] played a big role when I fell down and finding this corpse.

I carefully walked towards the dragons' bones making sure that it wasn't an undead and took the magic stone into my magic bag, afterwards I dismembered all the bones and stored them all, I finally had enough materials to forge a weapon and enough magic stone to inscribe it, all I need now is to escape this hellhole.

2 hours...

3 hours...

5 hours...

I finally saw the exit and when I came out I was on the edge of the forest. Luckily I found a footpath and followed it to a village called Aluka village, it was a village of beastmen.

All the villagers were half wolf half human, after speaking with their chief I discovered I was on the other side of the mountain. After negotiating for a horse I wasted no time and went around the mountain, it took me 6 hours just to get around the mountain it was already 7 in the afternoon when I started going back to Central city, I also stopped for an hour to let the horse rest.

It was midnight when I arrived back at Magus academy, I quickly rushed to my bed and went to sleep.

I finally woke up past 7 took my bath and went to the cafeteria of course with the egg in my hand, I once read that the egg must always stay close to the mothe-... Master, master I mean this will help build a relationship when the egg hatches. So I will have to head to an infant's shop later to buy something that'll help me carry the egg....

When I entered the classroom everyone gave me a questioning look... Butch was the first to mock me..,

"Haha what the fuck is that?! Did you get so horny you raped a monster and after giving birth the monster sued you forcing you to take care of the child?! Haha where's child support?! "[Butch]

Waow he just said that in a single breath, after butch said those words all of his lackeys laughed while Lisa and her group kept snickering resisting the urge to expose how wide their mouth is when they laugh

Chris was ready to go at em when I stopped him and signaled him to forget it, Chris, getting my signal sat clearly still mad about what Butch and the others said.

The door opened and Ms. Lucia came in, she took a glance at me, and stops her footsteps

"I-is that perhaps an Arachnid egg?! "Ms.Lucia  asked in a shaky voice

"Yes" I replied

she looked at me shocked and rushed inspecting the egg

"If I'm not mistaken, Arachnids could only be found in the inner parts of the Fallen Mountain... "

Hearing the location Fallen Mountain,

Everyone was clearly shaken and looked at me weirdly.

"This egg... Would you sell it? "ms.Lucia asked

"Nope not selling"I flatly answered

"I see"ms.Lucia was disappointed but still respected my decision and walked back to the platform and started the lesson.

After classes I headed for an infant shop and bought a bag that allows me to carry the egg, after wearing it, I placed the egg in my chest.., a perfect fit tho I look like a dork who gives a shit?.

Afterwards, I went to the blacksmith, seeing my get up, all the blacksmiths laughed their asses off, after few minutes they finally stopped

"Hehe kid didn't know you were rearing a pet, so what brings you here? "[Blacksmith Boss]

"Master, it's not a pet it's my partner, also I need your help"[Lyan]

"Oh, is that so? Well then out with it"[Blacksmith Boss]

I took out 2 fangs of the dragon and a large chunk of the dragonic magic stone I found.

"Master?... Master? You ok? "[Lyan]

something flew out of masters' mouth so I kept slapping him in hopes that his soul would go back to his body...

"Oi kid where'd ya get this... This is all good stuff! "[Blacksmith Boss]

after a few good slaps, he returned to reality and his eyes never left the materials, even forgetting about me slapping him.

"Ahaha Dad sent them to me... " [Lyan]

obviously, I lied,

"Heh kid you're loved"[Blacksmith boss]

"Ahaha... "[Lyan]

"Ok, so you need me to forge you the weapon? Sure thing, let's go to my workspace now" [Blacksmith boss]

using a tong I carefully placed the two fangs and after a few minutes I took them out to hammer them flat, this action continued till past midnight, after sharpening it with a whetstone, I passed it towards master for inspections...

Every minute that passes causes me to get even more nervous, finally master with a serious expression asked me,

"Hey, kid tis the first time you worked with dragon material, right? " [Blacksmith boss]

" uhn"[Lyan]

I only nod

"How?? You can even put other experienced blacksmiths to shame... These two blades... Are of excellent quality.. " [Blacksmith boss]

"Ahaha... It's because master guided me and I also got lucky... " [Lyan]

I said as I scratch my head

"Aha haha that's right seeing how great I am of course the weapon would be of excellent quality" [Blacksmith boss]

I take it back...

"Now hand me the materials I'll be done inscribing it tomorrow along with yar arm guards, go get some sleep" [Blacksmith boss]

I say as I handed over a few bones and the chunk of magic stone...

After heading home I placed the egg beside my bed and slept...

Next morning I still get mocked by the students whenever they see me with the egg, facing these students I only shrugged off their insults.

After classes, I headed for the blacksmith to receive the two blades and the arm guard from master, after a few flattery and words of thanks, I headed for the training ground to familiarize myself with the new weapons,

"ahh these blades are cool as hell" [Lyan]

I resist the urge to shout it out loud...

A month passed since then but during those times I trained secretly whenever I can and I always walked around with Arachne so I was given the nickname papa hen by Butch and the others... Seriously the fucker has gone too far but I swear I'll get back at him during the upcoming Magus inter academy clash, wherein students will fight amongst each other 1st years against 1st years, 2nd years against 2nd years and so on till 3rd years.

This is due two months from now

After training I was about to head home when suddenly I heard a crack, I looked at the egg and wondered "did I finally take enough steps? " I quickly ran to my room locked the door and started observing the egg hatching...

*crack**craack* finally I saw a spiders leg pop out, I help it by carefully removing the other shells until finally, a little spider came out...

"Arachne... You've made ma wait haven't you" [Lyan]

I said as I carefully patted its head. Arachne was the size of a head it had 2 large red eyes and another 4 small ones on top of the two, she carefully observed me so I brought out a leftover meat I ate a while ago.

I mushed it on a bowl and put it in front of her, Arachne looked at me and started chowing down on the meat.., she must've been very hungry. After having her fill, she crawled up on top of my head and fell asleep...

I carefully took her off my head and placed her on the other side of the bed before finally falling asleep...

The next morning I woke up to Arache nibbling on my arm... Ah so cute, I rubbed its head and cooked breakfast, I placed Arachne on top of the table and told her to wait there, after cooking my food and mushing another piece of meat, Arachne and I had breakfast, we both wolfed it down, I took a bath and put on my uniform afterward

Arachne quickly climbed up my head and made an 'I claim this piece of land pose' before lying down and sleeping... Shouldn't you be more energetic?? Oh well saves me the trouble of chasing you...

When I walked to the classroom I heard another batch of insults from the students

"Ahah look its papa hen and is that a spider? Hahah" [Student 645]

"Better start calling him Broodmother gahahah" [Student 187]

Arachne couldn't take it anymore and tried to pounce on the student, but luckily I managed to catch her and hugging her on my chest.

"Calm down Arachne we'll show them soon but not now.. " [Lyan]

I whisper towards Arachne. She clearly understood what I meant and stopped struggling. Smart kid, I mutter to myself...

At the classroom.

"Kyaaa a spider!! Kill it!! " [Lisa]

screamed Lisa, hearing this Butch and his lackeys got ready to charge at me.

"Try it if you can" [Lyan]

I said as I started giving off a threatening aura that scared Butch and the others.

"It finally hatched?? Ahh, let me see let me see!! " [Rona]

Rona, Reina, Aurora, and Chris just entered so they were oblivious to the situation...

"Whats her name? " [Reina]

Reina asks as she poked Arachne

"Arachne" [Lyan]

I replied while holding her with both hands and held her in front of Reina, Reina took Arachne with both hands and hugged her, seeing this I said to Chris

"Arachne beat you to it in just one day" [Lyan]

hearing this Chris had a bitter face due to the fact that he can't actually refute what I said.

"Ok back to your seats"

Ms. Lucia came in and looked at Arachne before smiling at me I too smiled at her, I beckoned Arachne to come back, but Arachne actually pounced on my face and slowly crawled up my head... The experience was quite weird. I sat down and listened to the lesson...
