Morning came with no fanfare. I woke to a great hunger due to forgetting to eat last night, so I roll out of bed, still in yesterday’s clothes, and look for something to eat. Finding nothing edible in the fridge, I move on to the pantry which is also empty except for two-minute noodles. Deciding this’ll have to do, I prepare them and wait until they’re ready to eat.
Having my meal, and not particularly enjoying it, I sit down and bring up the news on my phone. My parents always told me it’s good to know what’s going on, but frankly nothing interests me nor does anything that’s reported actually affect me. Unsurprisingly there’s nothing about an attempted mugging or a disappearance of the man I saw, leading me to hope it was just a dream. Done with the news and my ‘meal’ I have a quick shower and get ready for uni.

Although only a short trip, I don’t have the money to afford petrol let alone maintenance on a car, so I take the bus to the city. There’s still time before my lecture, so I walk unhurriedly to the classroom. Arriving with time to spare, I make my way to my regular spot at the back and settle in with my notepad and stationary in front of me, just in case I decide to take notes for once.
Eventually the lecture starts, with the lecture hall about half filled. The lecturer drones on about Kepler’s laws of planetary motion and how minor variations due to external forces or nearby large masses will not have a major impact on the orbit due to the two major loci normally being defined well enough that only a slight variation to the orbit will occur.
Soon the lecture ends and bored out of my mind I make the commute back home. The events of yesterday all but forgotten like most dreams. Nothing out of the ordinary happens. Upon arrival at my apartment, I throw my bag in the corner and flop onto my bed.
