The woman who lost her brain

1 week later...

Currently mother has bring me to a cliff. The jagged rocks were split in two, creating a deep ravine. I stared at the bottom before I sent a questioning gaze towards mother.

"Listen Jasmine, you'll have to back up in under five minutes."

Without warning her pale hand reaches for the back of neck. Now dangling dangerously close to the ravine a smile forms on mother's face. Her words finally registered in my head. One small wave and I'm falling. This crazy bitch! There is now way I can survive this fall. The wind blows my face and I squint my eyes. I almost at the bottom of the ravine! Small yet surprisingly strong claws grip at the rocks.

Loud scraping sounds echoed as I finally got a grip on the rock. My furry arms clawing at the rocks for some support. A few feet up now the rock makes a sickening crack. The rock's splitting. I hurriedly grasp each nook and cranny trying to get up the cliff. Mother wacthed me no emotion radiating from her red eyes.

A chunk of rock flies past me hitting the floor a few seconds later. Fur standing up I rush up to the top with a few feet of noticeable progress. A blue light noticeable above me I turn my attention upwards. A ball of blue flames in my mother's hand. The blue ball dancing on her palm the corner of red lips quirked up.

A bad feeling in the pit of my gut. I focused on climbing once again. A few good more leaps and I would be at the top. Several more chunks of rock fell around staining my white fur. The blue ball being juggled around had me on edge. The flame dangerously getting closer towards me with each toss.

A white paw grasped the edge of the ravine pulling itself up. Nails dragging against the rough rock cutting into it easily. Another skinny paw latched on followed by a round head and fluffy body. I had finally reached the top. Panting I greedily gasped for the fresh air. Body sprawled on the ground my only movement being my body taking in breaths.

"Ahh, Jasmine I said under five minutes you know?" Mother sighed in a seemingly regretful voice. Damm wench.

The blue ball in her hand floated gently towards my body. The flame brushing against me, my white fur now singed. I jumped alert wary of the blue ball once more.

"For disobeying mother punishment must be in order." I silently cringed at the word punishment. A flash of memories in my brain pass through. What in the world could this woman's punishment could be? She wasn't even a human, a monster,  in fact maybe she was even a demon.

Flash back~

Thick calloused hands wrapped around my neck, choking me. The grip tightened and loosened at random spurs. I feel a little light headed am I going to die? The hands suddenly let go and a shot of pain came at my hip. A loud smack resonating through the room. A warped scream escaped out my mouth. The scream was covered by the sound by another loud smack to my hip. I couldn't see, a black screen filled my vision. In a way the darkness was strangely calming.

The strikes changed direction depending on how much I scream. It also depended on your tester. My tester loved absolute obedience, his satisfaction was my screams. The sadistic smile I'd see brightened the most when punishment was in order, in other words almost everyday. He'd seemed to like it when I was in pain. A sudden smack to the back of my head stopped my thoughts, but not before a stream of blood flowed through my dry cracked lips.

I closed my eyes waiting for the impact, and surprised to feel a slight knock to the head. Slowly peaking through the cracks of my eyes I see mother with her delicate fist closed and a smile on her face.

"Double training is in order!"

Looking at her with bewilderment, my flattened ears raised from my skull. Is that it? I look around slightly confused. The smile still on her face she picks my small body up not bothering with the dirt. With the snap of her fingers the blue ball extinguished, leaving no trace of it's past presence. Even more dumbfounded I stay on guard only for nothing to arrive.

Has this woman lost her brains? A defective product should be either thrown or punished. Has she no common sense either? I stay still while cradled in her arms confused of her almost complete dismissal of a failure.
