I feel like I messed something up this chapter. It just feels off. If you notice it too, please tell me in the comments. By the way, I changed "Haze household" into "Haze Family's Manor in the prologue.
----------------------------------------
The Haze household was peaceful for the first few months after Sam's birth. However, one morning when Talia was cleaning the dishes in the kitchen sink, she noticed a lack of noise coming from the adjacent dining room. That room happened to be the room that Sam's playpen inhabited, and the room that Sam was supposed to be in. Talia, being the perfect mother that she was, decided that it was time to check on her little baby boy. Yet, when the playpen enters her sight-
"NOOOOOOO!!!!!"
Blake, who was still asleep, opened his eyes and jumped out of bed instantly. He grabbed the sword that was mounted on the wall next to him and runs down the stairs. When he gets there, he sees his wife sobbing hysterically by their son's empty playpen.
"What happened? Where's Sammy!?" yells Blake, almost in tears himself. He can't stand the thought of something happening to his only son.
"I-I don't know...I was *hic* doing the d-dishes and *hic* came to check on him. He wasn't here! Blake, Sammy's missing!" Talia manages to form a sentence, despite the river of tears forming from her eyes.

Blake felt like he was responsible. After all, he was taught by his father that the man of the house should protect the family. However, before Blake had a chance to shed a single tear, Sam's parents hear a loud shout outside of the dining room door.
"Master, Mistress! Come quick! The young master is in the gardens!" It was the attendant that helped birth Sam.
Talia is at a loss for words, while Blake's eyes almost pop out of his head. In the next second, the both of them are running through the door with the attendant barely keeping up. When they reach the gardens, they see Sam sitting on the grass with a flower in his hands and a crowd of gardeners and attendants surrounding him.
"Did anyone see how he got here!?" Blake shouts at the group of people crowding his son.
Even though they were frightened by their master's tone of voice, a few managed to tell the couple what had happened.
"No, sir. We were all going about our duties when we suddenly heard the cry of a baby. A few of us went to investigate the noises, and discovered the young master sitting on the grass." One of the gardeners mentioned.
"We just stood there, staring at him dumbly for a while before we realized he was still crying. So we called some of the guards and attendants to this area to try and entertain him ." One of the guards that was on-duty said.
"Then I started to run towards the bedroom, but I heard the mistress' shout, so I came to the dining room instead." The attendant, who just managed to catch up to the couple, pitched in to the conversation as well.
"So no one knows how he got here...Alright, everyone back to your duties!" Blake picks up his son from the grass and carries him back inside, with Talia at his heels.
...
A few months have gone by after Sam's first mysterious appearance in the gardens. After that incident occured, it repeated happened twice more before he was put under constant guard. It started to lessen after the guards were assigned to guard him. However, Sam would still be found in odd places from time to time. This continued for multiple years, until Sam was 3 years old.
