I, Francis D. Martin, have compiled dozens of first hand accounts, newspaper articles, and fragments of AI memory banks, to share this compressed account of the 2179 World Crisis, which is otherwise known with names such as the First World Crisis, the First Apocalypse, and many others (for the sake of simplicity I will, from now on, refer to it as the AI Incursion).
After many interviews and looking at journals, I have created this document. While I do not believe all accounts shared in this document, I think it is quite interesting to see how people try to comprehend, what people see as, the first global apocalypse.
In the end, this story, as I will objectively call it, is a bad use of time for both me, the writer, and you, the reader. In fact, this shortened version was created for those who, like me, deem reading the full version as a waste of their time. Think of this as the summarized recount.
This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author's work.
For those with too much time on their hands, worry not for a full version of the compressed accounts will be distributed to the dustiest of library corners.
I think this story is interesting enough to write, but is bogged down with parts that are just not believable. Quite frankly, it’s a story. A fascinating one, yes, but still a story, so I will write it as such.
This document (or book, based on how you are reading this) will be chronicled with a narrator, in the present tense. It will have many “characters” in the story, each corresponding to at least one detailed primary source.
I will be describing the actual feelings of the multiple subjects in this story. While some of the quotes used are not 100% accurate, they are as close as I could get (the human mind is fallible, after all).
And without further ado, I give you the AI Incursion.
