The Beginning and the Great Separation

The Beginning and the Great Separation

In a dusty tower a young boy with dirty brown robes and a shaved head with an eye painted on his forehead was staring at a huge tome with Gold lettering on its cover labeled only as 'TRUTH'  he opened the tome and began to read.

Long long ago in the age of birth the mother of creation decided the vast emptiness saddening and with a three breaths she willed into existence the heaven realm, the mortal realm and finally the abyssal realm.

The heavens and abyss she split into three levels each with some of her essence being absorbed by her two dearest creations, the mortal realm was left well alone for she found it insignificant, truly in comparison to the majesty of the heavens or the brutality of the abyss how could the mortal plane with its own blandness possibly be considered relevant.

Finally the mother of creation slept, during her slumber the heavens and abyss gained life from her leftover essence with the heavens holding all of the positive energy and the abyss holding all of the negative energy, the beings formed were respectively eternal opposites the heavens were the domain of the Gods and the abyss the domain of the Deva.

The Gods and Deva knew nothing of each other for many uncounted ages and each began to experiment with the leftover essence, this was the birth of the energy known as mana, when finally both sides met at last on the mortal realm there grew an instant hatred for who could ever love their opposite. Naturally there was war of such ferocity that both sides losses were within the trillions and the mortal realm was almost utterly ruined but even still the Gods and the Deva fought on with the greatest of both sides finally being at a stalemate they both returned to their own realms to recuperate.

Finally she who had slept for so long awoke and what she found shocked her for although she had disregarded it the mortal realm was still a creation of hers and she loved it, she summoned the leaders of the two sides and ripped open the very fabric of reality the two leaders faced with the unimaginable amount of power she possessed could do nothing as she threw them into the hole where the chaotic energies tore them apart until only a very small amount of the energy they formed from remained, she scattered it all across the mortal realm which in turn created all mortal creatures.

Even so the mother of creation was just that a mother and to have destroyed any of her creations direct or indirect was not in her nature, she cried a single tear which she split into three and from the three droplets she formed barriers separating the realms, the Gods and Deva naturally did not accept this and tried everything to escape from their former homes now prisons, using the natural essence she left before in its purest form and with the sacrifice of the majority of both sides remaining populations they finally succeeded in forming cracks in her barriers.  she looked upon them with sadness at their actions then sadness gave way to rage.

Looking upon the mortal realm an idea had formed using the elements available only to it she formed the great guardians to watch the barrier the elementals and to them she gave a portion of her own power the Gods and Deva knowing they could not defeat these monstrous creatures finally retreated into their realms with fear.

With her work done she finally returned to another eternal slumber knowing her guards would watch the realms in her stead.

The elementals did just that and as the mortal realm started to bloom with new life they too grew to slumber with an awareness of the barriers at all times, there was however a loophole in the guardians sight, the heavens and the abyss still contained much if the mothers essence which seeped through the cracks, the elementals took no notice of such a thing it was their creators essence after all however the Gods and Deva both knew they could use this essence to observe and to some extent interact with the mortal realm, they did just that as the new life began to form they would use the essence to mold and change it into creatures of their own essence as the mortal creatures eventually gained sentience they grew to worship the Gods and Deva.

The essence when returning to the heavens and/or abyss would bring across the power of faith which both empowered and delighted the Gods and Deva they then used the essence to slowly but surely trap the elementals who awoke too late to the disaster destroying the elementals was nearly impossible instead they dragged them through the cracks and placed them in cages where they could learn to create their own elementals albeit a lot weaker.

When finally they succeeded the two sides decided that it would be in their own best interest to avoid the mothers now favoured realm lest they risk earning her ire instead they were content with the worship of her less powerful creatures who unknowing of their loving mother were only too happy to be led by these charismatic forces.

Eventually the two superpowers used the essence to bestow their followers with mana and waged war again but at a much lower level than they had before this is truth as learned by every seer blessed be to the mother.

The young boy looked at the book before placing it down and wandering off he had many questions to ask his master when he returned.
