Chapter 6
So I now find myself standing in front of my witch of a sister, who should have died. Her death didn’t give me the peace of mind I was hoping for, but her revival surely didn’t make me feel any better either.
Pure vampires cannot die. No matter if their heart is ripped from their chest, their head chopped off, or you drown them. They will always come back to life. Because, the only thing that can kill a pure vampire is a stake to the heart.
Not just any stake, one that is blessed by a saint. Now, where would I find one of those?
Surely there must be a rule book that tells one of all the know hows and where to find them. It seems that my sister is a permanent player in this game we call Life.
Yet, for a superior species she is weak. She could barely react to my movements. I wondered why that was. If only I could check her stats, then I would be able to tell.
Name: Ashley Velstrok Age: 520
Race: Vampire Level: 35 (Sealed)
Oh, it seems i am able to see her stats. I should start treating this a little bit more like a game. Not exactly like a game considering this is still real life, but I should use more of the resources I have.
She has her level sealed, that could be the reason why I easily killed her earlier. Ha, so I should take this chance to continue killing her until I get tired. That would surely teach her not to mess with me ever again.
“So sister, care to explain where the rest of the family is.”
She rolled her eyes at me, but I paid it no mind.
“They aren’t here as you can see. You think I keep tabs on them?”
“Obviously you should.”

“Well I don’t. Now anymore questions?”
“Yes actually. Why is your power sealed?” I asked her.
When I said that I could see her face darken. It seems she didn’t think I knew that her current power was sealed away. To be expected since we just met.
“How do you know that?”
“I have my ways, now care to answer?”
“Well…” and thus she started her story.
Since she was the only pure vampire around and just so happened to be a woman, the vampire they woke up wanted to take her as his wife. She denied him so he took her precious family members away. She tried to go get them back, but ended up getting cursed instead. Now she is basically a human with enhanced abilities.
Listening to her story, I couldn’t help but laugh.
“This isn’t funny!” She roared.
“You could have avoided this if you would have only married the guy. So because of you, you have a shit ton of enemies looking for you and you gave away our family members. Well, I killed you already so I see no need for me to stay here anymore.” I turned towards Kimberly. “Nice seeing you again.”
“You are just going to leave, just like that? How about saving your damn family?” Ashley yelled.
“Family? I don’t recall having one. The one I did have died a long time ago. So I see no need for me to save those strangers when there is nothing for me to get. I also don’t feel like going against this all powerful vampire who wants to marry you. I coming up with a thousand ways to make your life miserable, but it seems you’ve done that for me. So it is best for me to leave while I still can.” I explained to her.
“Dan, I think it is too late for that.” Kimberly spoke up just as I was leaving. Like seriously, why can’t I just leave this place. Ugh, if I knew this was going to happen I would have never returned here.
“Ok, tell me why I shouldn’t leave. Doesn’t matter if I want to listen or not, you’ll just flap your gums anyways.” I said in a cold tone.
“Remember how I found you at that restaurant? Well… i’m pretty sure I wasn’t the only one who found you here Dan. So even if you don’t help us out, you’ll find trouble on your own.”
That… might be true, but I was strong. What was there to fear?
“Kimberly, are you forgetting one important fact? I am not weak.”
“You think just because you bested those two low ranked vampires you are strong? Or you killing Ashley makes you strong? Sorry Dan, but there are much stronger things out there than you.”
I waved my hand as I walked towards the door. “And when those things come, I shall be ready. Until next time, until next time.”
You might think I am cold hearted, but trust me you would not want to get mixed up in this family problem. It is too much work for no reward. I think i’ll find a new town to settle down in instead.
