´Interesting, it seems that the smarter goblin was warrior, and the other ones grunts. Must mean he evolved more times than them, maybe increasing his inteligence.´ Alfred thought while looking at his notifications. He looked down at the sleeping Liz and started praying quietly.

˝Artisia, I would like to inform you of our current situation.˝ Alfred said casually, he was told by Liz praying doesn't need to be polite or ceremonious.

˝Ah, so jealous. Uh, I mean, hello Alfred. Didn't I tell you to be more careful, I mean you got stabbed and now Liz is sleeping on your lap. How carefree can you be!?˝ Artisia said mostly angry at him getting hurt and a bit about Liz using his lap as a pillow.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

˝I am sorry if I worried you, but I am in no danger now. Also I do not know if Liz finds my lap comfortable, but I do not see a problem with this situation.˝ Alfred said confused.

˝No, no problem at all, only a problem for me.˝ Artisia said the last part only to herself. ˝I do believe these companions of yours are trustworthy. So I would suggest doing as they said and forming a party later on, and make sure to train hard now! So you don't get hurt like this again!˝ She continued.

˝I agree, I was thinking of acquiring a shield of some sort. It seems that my plating does not protect me much in this world, so another defence would be for the best. I do wonder about other weapons, are there any technologically advanced weapons available in this world?˝ Alfred asked since he only saw old fashioned weapons.

˝Getting a shield is a smart plan. Well people just use spells and mana enhanced weapons if they want more power. I don't know about your previous world, but everything is mostly mana based. Everything non-mana related is around the level you saw in the village.˝ Artisia said as she wondered about Alfred's world.

˝Thank you for the information. I see the technology is vastly different compared to my world, I was thinking that was the case.˝ Alfred said as he looked at the carriage.

˝It would be better to let you rest and not borher you after your battle. So I will end the prayer now, I do apologize about not hiding your status. I hope you can forgive me.˝ Artisia said nervously.

˝I apreciate your concern, and do not worry about the status thing. Everyone makes mistakes.˝ Alfred said as the prayer ended. ´It seems like Liz is having a nice dream.´ he thought as he saw Liz chuckling in her sleep.

He then continued to wonder about what he could have done differently about in fight. This allowed him to gain a skill.

Basic Combat Tactics skill acquired

´I see, even repeated mental actions can make a skill.´ He thought to himself as the other companions started waking up.

˝Good morning Alfred, to you as well Liz.˝ Said Paulus as he emerged from the carriage.

˝Yawn˝˝Good morning.˝ Liz said as she woke up.

˝Morning!˝ Jill and Rora said as the also joined them by the now extinguished fire.

˝I have a suggestion about our journey.˝  Said Paulus as they started to pack up the camp. ˝I would like us to stay at the trading town of Augustburg. There we could stay at an inn for the night on my expense. You could also acquire some equipment there I am sure.˝ He said as he pointed at Alfred's and Liz's weapons.

˝That's a smart plan, since we're not really in the best shape some proper rest could do wonders.˝ Said Rora as she applied some ointment on her shoulder.

˝Indeed, getting some equipment would be nice. Sadly we lack the funds.˝ Alfred stated.

˝I will lend you some silvers for some basic things, this should be enough. Also Alfred, how did you recover so fast?˝  Paulus asked.

˝My regeneration is around 1/20 of my health points per hour. I do believe it is because of my self-repair skill.˝ Alfred calmly stated.

˝That is most certainly not normal my friend. That is truly astounding. Without healing it would normaly take at least week to heal even non-critical wounds like Rora's˝ Paulus said as he pointed at Rora.

˝I did not know that. Thank you.˝ Alfred said

˝So how long will it take to get to this town?˝ Liz finally said as she ate elven bread with a frown.

˝It should take less than a day, so we'll not be taking any long breaks or setting up camp. Is that alright with you?˝ Paulus asked.

They all nodded and started preparing to leave. They decided to take the broken sword, since Paulus said it should be worth a small amount.

After traveling on the road for many hours they saw the walls off Augustburg. The walls were huge in comparison to the palisades of the village, though still made out of wood. They headed towards the main gate as they got close five chainmail wearing Lion-kin guards asked them to stop.

˝Papers please and everyone get out of the carriage.˝ Said the lead guard that had special pauldrons to mark his status.

˝Here you go, kind sir.˝ Paulus gave his trading permit. They stared a bit at Alfred, but didn't say anything.

´It seems golems are more common around here.´ Alfred thought.

˝Looks legitimate, you also don't seem to be carrying any contraband so you can go through. Have a nice stay in Augustburg.˝ The guard said as he waved them forward.

˝Thank you, have a nice day.˝ Paulus sighed out of relief. As they entered the town they saw huge three storied building around the main street. There were stores and other establishments everywhere.

˝Wow so many people! It's incredible.˝ Said Jill finally being able to see a town. There were at least a few hundred people walking the streets, buying or selling wares.

Paulus stopped the carriage in front of a cheap looking inn in one of the secondary streets. It didn't have a name on it's sign, just a simbol of a bed.

˝Since we arrived earlier than anticipated, I suggest you go and buy what you want right away. We'll meet here in two hours. Also take the broken sword, sell it if you can.˝ Paulus said as he gave Liz a bag of coins, before entering the inn.

˝So what're you gonna go buy?˝ Said Jill smilling.

˝Probably some weapons or something. There seems to be a weapons shop up ahead, probably better to go to one of these ones on the side street since the price will be lower. What about you two?˝ Liz asked.

˝Some medicine for our wounds and probably some arrows from a fletcher. Jill here probably just wants to go explore, right?˝ Rora said, while Jill shook her head and said.

˝Not just explore, also to find some weapon I can use. Like I said I want to be helpful.˝

˝Alright, alright. Let's go then.˝ Rora said as she was dragged off my an overexcited Jill.

˝Let's also go shopping Alfred.˝ Liz said as they went towards the weapons shop.

As they entered they saw a lot of different weapons. Such as crossbows, spears, halberds, swords and many others as well as some shield of different sizes from tower shields to bucklers. They also saw a bearded individual behind a grinding stone, he was fairly small around a meter and half, he was currently sharpening an axe.

When he noticed them, he placed the axe on a shelf and said.

˝So what the fuck can I do for ya? Ya here to buy some fucking weapons or just here to fuck right off?˝ He laughed.
