Noticing Lance talking excitedly with Louie, Josh stepped over to see what they were discussing.
“This is fantastic news,” Lance said “We can use this with future movies. Maybe not Raiders of the Lost Ark but some fantasy movies”
Josh could hear Lance’s excited voice as he closed in on the two. From the corner of his eye, he noticed Logan glance in Lance’s direction.
“What's going on?” Josh asked when he was close enough.
“Louie has just revealed an unknown element of this world,” Lance proclaimed “Her stats have grown from ingesting the demon blood!”
“Like you’re a demon now?” Josh asked. It would be great if this was a way to bypass paying for a genetic mutation.
“God didn’t report any demonic changes,” Louie said with a shrug “Just a boost in a few of my stats”
“God’s healing may have been the key factor,” Lance said “Louie’s body must have absorbed some of the blood, which proved toxic. God removed what hadn’t been absorbed but must’ve either changed her body or the blood absorbed to heal her. Resulting boosts in stats”
Lance let out a manic laugh “Do you see what this means? And we have a whole world with magical creatures in secure, documented locations! This is the perfect solution for human creations. The boosted stats will be well worth the costs of healing. We can begin testing which creatures boost which stats and start building perfect soldiers”
“Isn’t that a little cold?” Josh asked “Louie nearly died from drinking that blood.”
“We would do this in the lobby,” Lance said, his excitement quickly dimming to his usual calm “Healing would begin as soon as symptoms appear”
“Still,” Josh said, not liking the idea but not knowing what to say
“I’d do it again,” Louie said “I’ve never felt better”
“We’ll need some time to prepare before we execute this,” Lance said “I’ll need to talk with Logan about expeditions onto preserves. We should send someone back to contact Blake as well. Make sure we can come to him after this next movie”
“I’ll go,” Louie volunteered “I should thank him for watching me after the fight”
“Perhaps,” Lance said, “Regardless we should focus on plans for the future. Josh have you made any purchases yet?”
“Oh no,” Josh said surprised at the question “Remember I’m supposed to be helping others make their purchases”
“I’ve actually had a chat with Logan,” Lance said “We found a skill for you and we’d rather you get it instead of sharing your points”

“What skill?” Josh asked.
Lesser Divine Burst
Teaches how to channel Divine Energy into an orb that will explode at the user's direction. Causes damage based on the user's natural affinities in a ten meter radius. Cost C rank reward and 2000 points.
The information came to Josh instantly and he was impressed.
“This is perfect!” Josh said “With this I can cause some actual damage”
“That’s the hope,” Lance smirked “We want you ready for this battle, your going to be a target since you’re unlocked”
“So will I,” Louie pointed out, drawing attention back to her
"You performed remarkably in the movie," Lance praised "Not just by surviving and unlocking. The information you gained about the movie world is invaluable"
“It’s what I do,” Louie said smugly
“Did Eve show you the gun I think you’d like?” Lance asked
“Yeah,” Louie nodded excitedly, “Get me a rifle like that and I’ll be able to snipe the entire enemy team”
Lance smiled at the teen’s confidence “Thankfully you won’t have to handle them all alone.”
“What gun is this?” Josh asked
Lance waved his hand and sent the information to Josh.
PGM Ultima Ratio Hecate II
One of the strongest long range sniper rifles from Gun Gale Online. This Anti-material rifle can penetrate most high-tech armored vehicles and weak magical barriers. Cost C rank reward and 4000 points.
“This looks perfect for you,” Josh said with a smile
“I will need to split the cost with you,” Lance said “Between you and my own enhancements, I’m low 1000 points”
“That’s fine,” Louie said with a shrug “I’m spending the rest of my points on my stats. After the demon’s blood I think I’ll survive with a few less points”
“Are we going to be able to afford some kind of vehicle?” Josh asked suddenly.
“We’re looking into it,” Lance said, his smirk faltering “The biggest hurdle with purchasing a vehicle is getting it into the movie world. Only what fits in the beams enters the movies. Anything worth getting will require some way to carry it in a smaller form. We’ve focused on improving survivability and combat power for this movie”
“I’m sure we can find something Skye can fly,” Louie said dismissively
“That’s true,” Josh said “I just hope we don’t get stuck in the jungle when we first enter”
“I have a question,” Louie said “When can I go back home?”
“You need 50,000 points to exchange for Return to Origin,” Lance began, but was stopped by Louie.
“I know that,” she said, “but we can visit for some points, right? I have things I need to take care of, when can I go”
“Oh, I see,” Lance said. “Sorry, most of us don’t go back home”
“You don’t have parents to check in on?” Louie questioned.
“There are certain rules you have to follow when you return,” Lance explained “Like returning to the same device you entered from and no mentioning this dimension”
“Our parents can be a little hotheaded,” Josh continued “Returning without solid answers will just lead to fighting and possibly removing our computers”
“It’s easier to let them think we’ve run away or been kidnapped,” Lance concluded
“Well, I still need to return,” Louie said “Does it matter when I go?”
“Not really,” Lance said “It would only be an instant for us no matter how long you go, but wait until tomorrow. If anyone else wants to go, you can all go at once and be available to each other in the real world.”
“Fine,” Louie said with a shrug
