Journal Entry:
Greetings, my Goddess. I apologize for not making an entry in about 90 hours, give or take. You would know better than I on the exact numbers. This has now been the worst week of my life. To start with, I killed my best friend in a stupid fight for the right to have a child with Lyra, who would not be either of our mates anyway. Why in the blackest depths of the crimson did it come to that? Goddess, you look over all of us, please guide me into understanding why someone who was my best friend died such a shitty death?
Every time I close my eyes, I see what was left of Cade’s torso, his blood staining my sight. This will likely haunt me for the remainder of my days. I can’t even forget what happened due to my memory training. Who would have thought that training the ability to recall memories would feel more like a curse? I can even taste the tang of his blood in my mouth as I write this, making me want to gag. Goddess, is there anything that I can do to cleanse this? Turn back time? No known power for that.
If that was not the worst part, the icing on this cake of dung, my father almost died in a duel with Finn. Was Father distracted by what happened? Was that dagger Lyra mentioned special in some way? There are too many questions about how the events went on that day.
After being released from my cell, I met my mother and Lyra again while I gathered my gear, learning that my father lives but is gravely injured. Lyra volunteered to stay behind to investigate what was happening in the village while mother moved father to Typhoon, the Coastal City-State. A place that is almost as far from our village as you can get.
Then there was another mystery of the new guards. I can remember the face of every guard and hunter of the village, and they were not one of them. This means that they were not from the village. While it’s not rare for a Flame Seeker to settle down after they feel their journey of power has reached a level that they want in life, this did not have that feeling. This feels like something deeper is happening that I am still blind to. I hope Lyra stays safe.
Next comes my meeting with Aria. Why you gave one of your rare quests to save her, I am still not sure of yet, but I will trust your guidance as it is one of the few things I have left in my life now. She is such an odd person, even for Aurelians, I have met. From what little I know of her, I can tell she has great skills. The way she kept track of the Twilight Stalker after it leaped back into the brush speaks of great talent or training in the scouting arts.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
Lastly, my Goddess, please watch over me so that I can grow and find my purpose in your great plans to make the pain of this day and the loss of my friend worth something.

Journal Entry:
Hi Goddess, it’s Aria again. Hope you are doing well in the Silver City. Don’t work too hard, okay? Are you staying healthy? Anyway, Aria knows you can’t reply, but please keep healthy, okay? Aria has had a strange week. First, Aria passed Aria’s Novice Trial and gained Aria’s first Cycle power. Aria, as you know, chose Aerokinesis so that scouting would be easier and so that Aria could fly longer.
Aria then gained some hunting companions, but they tried to take what Aria didn’t want to give. Aria needed to put a dagger through the eye of one and had to flee the other as he was stronger than Aria was able to handle. Thankfully, Aria was a faster flyer than him. Dumbly went with a strength cycle and not one that could let him fly fast. He was soooo angry that his friend had a dagger in his eye, but his friend should have been taught better than to try to take what is not given.
Anyway, bad things are past, and Aria would forget them if the Priest did not tell Aria that the Goddess would be sad if Aria did not hear the good and bad of Aria’s life. Well, Aria had some more bad, but the Goddess also led some good Aria’s way. Aria had just finished hunting a large beast when this creepy beast appeared out of nowhere, scoring a hit on Aria’s amazing wings. Aria thinks it is unfair of the Goddess to make a cheating Beast that is so stealthy and strong, that would wait until Aria was distracted cleaning the kill.
As Aria tried to flee, Aria’s wing hurt very badly and stopped that plan. Next, Aria tried to make the distance to use the bow Aria received from foster mom on the day of Majority, but now the bow is broken and gone. Foster mom will scold Aria for this when she finds out!! Aria needs to replace it soon so that foster mom will not find out! Goddess, can you give Aria a quest to remember to do this? Oh so fast, thank you, Goddess! You are such a good omnipresent authority figure!
Anyway, as Aria was thinking that the Goddess wanted Aria to return home to her, you sent Aria a hero, well a very beat-up hero but one, nonetheless a hero. It was so scary, but Aria’s new hero saved the day and helped kill that stinky beast. Him passing out right after scared Aria so much, but with lots and lots of effort, Aria moved the new hero to the campsite Aria set up before the first hunt.
Aria should have made an entry earlier, but Hero needed care and Aria was sooo tired. Well, Hero woke up today and Aria got to feed him. It was so fun and now that Aria has had a good look at the hero as he cleaned his wounds and changed, Aria wants to see more! Goddess, can Aria keep him? Goddess, did you send him to Aria? His muscles look yummy, along with the way he fights, causing a tingly feeling in Aria’s stomach just thinking about it!
Oh, Aria forgot, what’s the hero’s name? Did Aria forget it or not ask? Well, it does not matter right now as the hero is sleeping. Why is the hero crying in his sleep? Do his wounds still hurt? Aria will need to see if cuddling will make the hero feel better. It always helped the others in foster mom’s home when they were in pain. Aria will need to try this tonight!
Well, Goddess, Aria will go now and see if Hero feels better by being hugged tonight! Have a great night, Goddess, and make sure to rest as needed!
