Goddess,
Today was an amazing day! Aria, you know the one who chose to help me complete my first trail, invited me to join her group of Flame Seekers! I met her new mate Axel who seems to be a fine human, not that I know too many besides the few that work in the forge zones but he like my work so he cannot be bad. I am so excited to meet that last one named Lyra.
I have so many ideas on gear for them from protection armor that turns physical hits taken into power to lighting gauntlets to a blade of condensed fire. They are even taking me into the Trial to see if we can get more gems for my experiment. I need to talk to the forge master to see if I can access more stock metal to work on my designs.
Also I just completed my Journeyman training today, well I could have completed it like a week ago but then I would have lost my training space but Goddess I was not cheating the system but I need a place to test my theroy’s, please don’t judge me to hard.
Back to work!
Next Day:
Oh no!! Disaster has struck my friend’s Aria and Axel. They were attacked by people who wanted to kill Axel and bring him in for money. This angered me so much I shattered the sword that was commissioned from me. I have to redo all that work. Thankfully they are now staying in the Tower, so they are still close by and safe.
I was even asked if I wanted to join them with training. Talk to you later Goddess as I need to finish this sword so I can meet up with Aria for training. This is going to be so fun!
Following Day:
This is not fun!! I have heard about instructor Rex but that did not prepare me for what he called a light training. He is now also beating me up in the name of training but at least he relented when I told him that I needed to keep working in the forge.
I can’t let the others down though so I will keep training as much as possible. As long as they don’t give up on me I will keep working on getting better.
After the Trial:
We completed the trial for our second Novice power. Before we could celebrate Axel seemed to be attacked by something. I am not sure what but when you Goddess asked I happily stepped in to help Aria and Lyra to save him. This is the first time I have felt so close to a group outside of the Family, I am even thinking of breaking my vow and picking up telepathy so that we can work together better.
The minds of other races are so strange and take so much work to communicate with. I have gained such a respect for the communication branch of my people who have to talk with them all the time. Anyway, we now have a plan for what to do in the short term, but I am worried that none of the group are looking at long term goal.
That’s fine thought as Goddess you have the future in your gaze. Now that you can talk to me, which is still so strange, but amazing, the future looks bright!
Travel by train to the Hunting Ground:
The Train!!!!!!!!! I have never seen such a marvel of engineering. The circuits and planning involved blow my mind. I need to meet the designers after our hunt so that I can learn from them. Axel even listened to everything I learned, he was so nice even with the slightly glazed eye’s, and I have updated my experimental notes with what I have seen.

Goddess,
I wish to thank thee for your grace and showing me a way out of my situation. Ever since Uncle took over as the head of the family, he has been pushing me to follow in the lineage of my ancestors as a Storm Drake knight. He would not see that while the skies are free with only the Aurelians know, how could I give up on Star?
I have completed all the rites required of me to start as a Companion Storm Knight. The night vigil was completed, my vows are completed, and my name is carved in the pillar with my oath. I still fear my uncle will send someone to kill Star so that I would be forced to bond with a new companion. Goddess, please bless me with luck so that Star and I can grow to our potential and live up to each of our parents' deeds.
The dark is at its blackest as I sit here with one of the twins, Larimar. So far, I feel close with Axel, Aria, and Lyra as they took me in. Sky seems to be a ball of never-ending questions, but I don’t know how to feel about the twins. Maybe it’s that I don’t have much experience with their race, as their uncle, the Merchant Jareth, also just gives me feelings of wrongness. Everything my Squire training has, along with what mother and father taught me, screams wrongness in the way they move.
Goddess, I don’t know how to explain it, but it’s the little twitches, the way they sit on their feet, and how they are always watching the shadows. I feel that they have not lived honorable lives, but again, I could also be mistaken for racial traits. I am likely overthinking this, but I will be keeping an eye on them for now.
Lastly, Goddess, please bless this hunt so that we can all grow together and find our way in your guiding light.

Greetings Goddess,
This was an eventful day as we gained a new surprise companion on this hunting trip. Uncle seems fine with this, but as ever, he controls his emotions, letting only what he wants people to see show. This new Storm Drake knight, as that is what he has to be, though he has not claimed that status like so many of his kind are so fond of.
That reminds me of the pretentious knight that we were stationed around in the Canopy Village during the surge. I don’t know why, but every time me and Larimar are stationed around a knight, they are always looking at us like we are criminals. I can already see Roran looking at us that way, as he hides his feelings like an open book, but at least he is more polite than many of his kind.
I do need to do a delayed update on a bandit attack that happened on the way to the last village. I was impressed by the newbies, Axel and Aria. I can see that taking the time to train them was well worth their money. Lyra using a lightning gauntlet made by the Thalaxian was an interesting addition to a melee combatant that she is. Their teamwork was also well polished, likely by whoever was protecting them in the Vanguard, making them fight well above their level.

Goddess,
Ever since the last update to my journal when we were arriving by train, many things have happened to our traveling troupe. We were attacked, added a surprise knight, and found an amazing hunting ground.
First: We arrived in the city where Pearl and I went shopping, though there was nothing there that stands out that I wanted to buy, and everything we got was boring supplies that I can’t even remember what we picked up. The city was amazing, a clear number four of the cities I have been to.
Second: While we were leaving, there was a Sky Whale!! I love them, and I still remember when mom and dad used their status as merchants to get us a ride on one that the clan used to rent for the fair trips.
Third: The ambush was an interesting fight. It took only a look for me and Pearl to choose to attack the pair attacking from behind. They were, on reflection, a distraction as they did not fight well but had endurance plus speed builds that drew us away. The rest of the group had a very tough fight but did very well with their teamwork. Uncle, like always, is scary in hand-to-hand combat, like he was back in the clan. Thankfully, they handled the fight, and my sister and I were not even told off for going off on our own.
Fourth: The new knight seems interesting. Never seen one that had a grounded Drake as their mount, but he seems to be very attached, likely a story there, but I feel like he is guarded around me, so I won’t push.
I need to get some sleep as I was given last watch with the new knight and want to give him a good impression.
