A while after returning to the comfy house on the mountains, Panda and Polar were contemplating what to do after. Yet each of them hid such worries behind the daily activities they usual did. She knew that they shouldn't act like they were waiting for a particular someone to return home with gifts on his hands. Panda wanted to blame herself for her mentor's death but she knew he wouldn't want that.
With the owner of the house gone, it felt even more lonely for the two girls. Even if they were not as strong as Sifu was, they still wished to avenge him. Polar suggested that they should start their own pilgrimage instead of waiting for the opportunity to find them, to which Panda nodded. After cleaning, they locked the house and left to start their own journey. The first thing that came to Panda was to search for the one who saved them from slavery.
They got on a hoverbike and embarked a journey on the vast land, biding farewell to their home. On their travel to the Eastland, they heard a rumor from an old merchant they crossed path with. He said that the infamous Falcon was slain by someone. They were about to leave him be but stopped when he mentioned something about a young man with green hair.
"Excuse me, did he happen to wear black clothing?"
"Yes, that kid travelled with me for awhile before disappearing after one night in Metaltown. I think it was back in September."
"That was before we were even captured."
"You girls were kidnapped?"
"We...had something taken away from us that wasn't just freedom."
"Okay, I won't pry. But if you two see him someday, give him my greetings."
"Sure."
"Panda, are we about to visit the famous town of mechanics?"
"Yes, the merchant said that he found clues of the Falcon there."
The two friends went on their way after having identified the destination they needed to reach at the moment. But before they could go anywhere far, it was time to have their belly filled. They arrived at a local restaurant and had some lunch, overhearing that some other customers were talking about a bandit leader referred to as Ryoga. Polar suggested that they should not waste time on other's business but Panda told her that building reputation to the level of Sifu could attract things that could be worthwhile.
Both of them went to Ryoga's hideout after asking a stranger about it. They arrived but was stopped on track by the bandits. Polar suggested Panda to go ahead and see whoever Ryoga was fighting due to the sounds of combat she heard. Panda leaped across the bandits, leaving them to be Polar's snack.
Panda saw a female figure older than her overwhelmed by the combined efforts of a rock golem and someone else. Although she somehow freed herself from them before fainting. Having had enough of watching, Panda dashed into the scene and destroyed the golem with a single punch, revealing a guy inside it. She had also wounded the other guy's hand, preventing him from killing the green haired girl. She killed them with a small piece of rock, indirectly.
Panda carried the unconscious girl and approached a girl in yellow. She was both amazed by the display of strength and confused.
"Who are you? Why did you save us?"
"Nothing, I'm just looking for someone with the same eye and hair color like this girl here."
"Chella never said anything about having a sibling."
"Sorry for asking."
"It's okay."
Panda pushed what looked like a monster truck with a huge drill on the front. She handed the confused girl her unconscious friend and left the scene. On her way out of the area however, she noticed herself being followed by someone. She stomped on the ground and escaped from their field of vision by digging her way underground. When she rose on the surface, she saw polar smiling while looking at the ice coffins she created. Her enemies were frozen solid inside a thick layer of ice.

It was about time they continued the search for their second savior. They went on the flatland again, until they arrived at Metaltown. The town's mayor was greeting visitors like how he usually did. Both girls asked him if he knew something about a green haired guy dressed in black. The mayor became nervous but regained composure and led them to meet the underworld's informant. Upon meeting him, the girls learned their savior had also slain Peacock.
However, he vanished after being attacked by an aircraft belonging to the Apex Legion. At the same time, one of the local excavators detected signs of life hundred of meters below ground. Knowing that there could be a chance the one they were looking for was down there, Panda and Polar would head into the mines the following day.
Arriving at the mines, the girls would start digging from the deepest part of the mines which was 100 meters below the surface. Panda borrowed a drill from a miner and began with the digging thus she created a big hole. Polar jumped in after saying goodbye to the miners. The flashlights both of them brought along would help them navigate the path. They kept on digging and digging and so on, until they felt down on a flat ground and noticed that they arrived at a huge tunnel.
Panda grabbed on Polar as she created ice to sled on, which allowed both of them to travel faster. On their way they found a tunnel that didn't seem natural. If looked closely on the ground, footprints could be seen. Which meant that the guy they wanted to meet had passed through the area. They followed what the suspected to be his trail. Suddenly, Panda stepped into a hole and was separated from Polar but she told her to keep going without her, to which Polar hesitated but agreed.
Panda moved on with the path laid before her eyes and after what felt like thirty minutes, she saw a girl in yellow came from her right. She seemed to be running away from something. In truth, they met once when Panda saved her and her friend but didn't really get to know each other because Panda wanted to focus on the task at hand. In the second encounter they briefly introduced themselves to each other, the girl in yellow called herself Nova.
Nova asked Panda about what she came to the underground for and if she could help with anything but Panda gently refused to involve her. Both of them kept walking until they found a mine. Some monsters showed up but Panda blocked the way, the two moved further inside the mine. They eventually found a hidden door and climbed down through a ladder afterward then stumped upon a secret room.
They found a record left by an old researcher saying his project was a mistake, revealing that he created a parasitic crystal that could drain human blood. Both of them couldn't break the shock they had. Then they found Nova's grandfather named Gilbert. The three of them followed behind the monsters and climbed into the top floors of a castle. Behind a big door, they found a huge humanoid crystal monsters sitting on the crystalized throne.
In the throne room, all of them knew what was about to happen. A fight was inevitable and only one side would triumph. The huge figure referred to himself at the king of all the monsters outside the castle. Then, without speaking anything else, the fight began.
A lot of crystal projectiles where launched at Panda's direction but such attack was inferior to her matter-shattering punches. However, what the monster king did next overwhelmed them. He created crystal spheres but they projected multitude of laser beams, creating an unescapable prison that was also unavoidable. Gilbert, Nova and Panda felt on the ground wounded. That was when a green haired girl and a blonde came in.
...
Meanwhile, Polar continued on her own despite not liking to be separated from her only friend. She mumbled to herself that if she found the guy, they could go search for her. She kept going forward for what felt like minutes and she ended up encountering some crystal monsters. They roared, attempting to intimidate her. However, Polar wouldn't just back down because of that.
The monsters approached her but she released a huge blast of cold air and all of the monsters were frozen. They tried to break free but she drastically decreased the temperature of the surroundings to an extreme level. She finished them off by creating ice spikes from the ground, piercing through the weakened crystal monsters. They turned to dust afterward.
Polar went further ahead and found a guy trying to treat his bleeding leg. Looking closely, he had a dark green hair and dressed in black. She realized that he was the guy her and Panda were looking for. She approached him to his surprise and tried to stop the bleeding by freezing the wound.
"Thanks...who might you be?"
"We met months ago, do you not remember?"
"So it is you, where's the other one always with you."
"She dropped into a hole and went to find her own way up. Can you walk?"
"Yeah... I'm fine."
"Did you beat those creatures earlier?"
"Indeed, that was not too entertaining through. I was humped to find something stronger."
"Let's just get going."
"Right."
They proceeded on the way to find Panda after Polar found the guy. They arrived at what looked like a mine, it must have been abandoned for years. When they walked further in, Polar recognized Panda wandering on her own and called out to her. Polar said that she had found the guy and they should get out of here, to which Panda agreed.
