Chapter 10

“So, what are your plans now” Barbara asked, she and Kara sat on a bench in Metropolis City Park,

“I’m gonna keep looking, I have to, right?” Kara asked turning a small metal pin of Superman's symbol over in her hand,

“Clark searched for decades and never found anyone” Barbara said,

“He didn’t find me” Kara said, looking to Barbara for an answer, but she didn’t have 1, Maybe we missed them” She looked to the sky, Barbara sighed,

“But he didn’t find you, or the planet the survivors settled on, and you guys were probably the closest to earth, or he would have found them” Kara nodded,

“You’re probably right, but if there's a chance, I should still keep looking, I would have given anything for another Kryptonian to find me,” She said,

“I understand, just remember if you need anything, we’re here” Barbara said, she pulled her into a hug,

“You’ll keep a spot on your team open for me” Kara asked,

“With what Bruce is saying we’ll always have plenty of room” Barbara laughed, Kara nodded stepping out of the hug, she wiped her eyes and then disappeared into the sky.

Titan Tower was a 48 story building that sat along the shore front, a couple floors before the roof a large helicopter landing pad jutted out, the government had sold Wayne-Tech the building several years earlier, it had been used as an on shore control center for something they were trying to sweep under the rug, and Bruce hadn’t asked them any questions.

Now it was being modified to fit it’s new purpose, several floors had been turned into a state of the art training facility, while another couple were turned into secure armory’s, most of the middle floors were to be used as living quarters for the team, just beneath those were 2 floors 1 was a mission prep area, while the other was the briefing and command center, a couple floors were dedicated to threat containment areas, another couple floors were a fully functional infirmary, the parking garage had been secured to protect the teams vehicles, and a sub basement was extended down and reinforced to become a nearly impenetrable underground bunker.

Bruce had come to oversee the installation of the security system, and had just finished running test on it, he now called Dick,

“Hello” Dick answered,

“The tower will be ready soon” Bruce said,

“That was quick” Dick wasn’t surprised, after all being 1 of the richest men in the world got things done fast,

“It’ll be about a week before you can move in, the suits will arrive soon after” In other words be ready in exactly a week and the suits will already be there, Dick smiled,

“We’ll be ready” He replied,

“I never asked, do you have a name for your team?” Bruce asked,

“The Titans.”
