It was like any other day in my life as a high school student. It was a terrible day. I had forgotten about the government test that we had today and I was just leaving the classroom with a feeling of despair. Letting out an explosive sigh. I continued walking,
“One more class than your home free,” I muttered under my breath. Walking down the hallway the crowd of students parted like a school of Minos would for a larger fish. Walking to my next class I considered what my life was amounting to. Nothing. My life up until this point has been nothing but a blur of uninteresting things society was in the rut of repetition. Sighing again I walked through the door of my last class of the day, economics.
“Hey Mr. Tagg,” I said with as much enthusiasm as I could muster. He smiled back with a nod “afternoon hope today has been a good day!” The mans boundless energy made me smile like it always did “yeah,” I said and slipped into the classroom quickly making my way to my seat I dropped my backpack next to the chair-desk hybrid and went to wait in the small line of students that were getting Chromebook’s finally reaching the front of the line I grabbed one of the books and flipped it open. I tsked at the missing keys and put the small computer back reaching to one that had the charging light on. This time it had a full set of keys smiling. I returned to my seat and started the signin process.
My ears suddenly popped as if I had changed elevation looking around after the odd sensation I found myself in a… forest? I was sitting at my desk with my backpack and the chrome book was freaking out without the internet. Looking around I saw giant evergreens everywhere. The woods looked so perfect, a little too perfect. I was on a mountain of some kind with large steeping cliffs and numerous caves. There was a waterfall on a cliff side with a huge amount of water pouring from it. The peaks were hundreds of feet up painted with white and blue lines where the snow had not yet melted.
A ding sounded out in my ears and I was confronted with a screen of blue

Confused I was startled by my backpack beginning to glow stabling away I watched in wide eyed awe as my backpack morphed into something I could only imagine being in a video game it was green with a large black and white pokeball instead of the red and white the straps were a brown leather, the material it was made of felt like a tough hard canvas and looked like a tactical bag slowly walking over I unhooked the straps and flipped open the large center pocket inside I found a few things there were two large packages of freeze dried food, the next thing were the pokeballs these ones were red and white and were the size of small bouncy balls grabbing one it started to grow it reached a baseball size after the expansion. It was a little heavy but couldn’t be more than half a pound. Putting the thing down I grabbed the next thing a small cartridge like device immediately I new it was a Pokédex flipping it open a screen powered up

Quickly I inserted my name David Herreh
After that it I quickly found the next page

So that was all the information page. Moving on I reached in for a small slip of paper pulling it out and I studied it. It was like one of those little raffle tickets these had a small black and white design just like the
Backpack looking it over I slowly ripped it.
Another bright flash of light came, this time however I scrambled away like a coward. While the light was still shining three wheels popped up, one was a list of Pokemon species that had so many different names I could hardly believe it. The next was to determine if it was a royal, alpha, or common Pokemon, the last wheel was variant, shiny, or normal. Each wheel had a blinking (tap to spin!) caption over it. Taking a deep breath I spun the first wheel. After three minutes of spinning the board slowed down landing on… Aron a shadow of the shape of the little Pokémon appeared next to the first wheel. Smiling to myself I thought over my spin Aron steel and rock with three weaknesses: fighting, ground, and water. Overall a really good Pokémon!
The next wheel was to roll for a royal, alpha, or common type crossing my fingers for a royal I tapped the sheen. Slowly the wheel spun, holding my breath. I was rewarded with an alpha. Gulping hard I knew that alphas were aggressive and large I hoped that I could earn its respect. Finally the variant, shinny, or common again I hit the (tap to spin!) button.
The wheel spun and I got the variant with the variant a new wheel popped up.
(Select 2 color schemes)
Blue silver white
Black white grey
Green yellow brown
Red white pink
Being a teen I always liked the simplicity of white so of course I picked the BWG and BSW color schemes. Then tapping the button spinning I realized the wheel was going to land on the BWG smiling. I waited for it to stop just for it to barely tick over into the blue silver and white color scheme scrunching up my nose. I made an unhappy snorting sound.
The light started to fade as I was confronted by my very first Pokemon. The little (not so little) guy stood at around three feet almost reaching my hip! His armor was a flat silver with highlights of white and blue in runic patterns, his underside was a darker silver and his eyes were deep soulful blue.
“AR ARON!” Smiling at the sound I waved at the abnormally tall mon slowly I lowered myself to his height “hey fella!” I said just barely keeping the tremor out of my voice “Are you doing okay?” I asked as he looked around him like he was in some kind of trance hearing my question. His focus snapped back to me and his eyes were piercing. “I know you’re probably disoriented but I want to introduce myself. My name is David Herreh and I’m going to sit next to the chair desk abomination.” Slowly backing away I left the large territorial Pokémon and walked over to my desk. I heard the heavy foot fall behind me and turned to see the little Aron following me. Smiling, I sat down in the grass next to the thing. The giant thing sat down next to me and I scratched the base of its neck where there was a small crack in its armor, it- no he began to make a deep rumbling noise as I found the perfect part. Finally having something to distract me from the fact that I was in a totally different universe I fell quickly into my duty of showering my new best friend in affection.
