Ento was mostly a defensive Pokémon with tackle and bite being his best offensive weapons and his defensive ability being heavy metal, sturdy, and rocky head. Though I bet I could get heavy metal to be an attack rather than just a purely defensive skill, the raccoon look-a-like snarled, snapping me out of my thoughts. It charged the recognizable energy of tackle charging up.
“Quick heavy metal!” I shouted Ento let out a growl that would cause any man to shake in his boots. A heavy aura surrounded him. The zigzagoon tried to cancel his tackle but was too late and he rammed into the side of Ento falling back with a pained cry. It didn’t take long for the Pokémon to recover and he was back on his feet, his face contorted into an angry visage as he let out a threatening growl. Realizing that he had just used growl on Aron I groaned in annoyance, growl reduced the attacking power of Pokémon with a hundred percent accuracy. Locking eyes with the little trash panda, it had a fairly evil look in its eyes for something as small and cute as it was. Deciding that if this evil raccoon wished to drag this battle out then we would happily oblige.
“Ento use sturdy,” with a heavy nod the steel plated dinosaur complied with a glow he cast the skill turning the already hard to penetrate shell into something akin to a fortress. The offender saw what we had just done, a glare was sent my way, a small smile spread across my face. Seeing this, the little rascals started charging sandstorm. Snorting in derision I decided to use this battle to test out a few ideas I had.
“Ento! Use tackle with heavy metal!” The champ ran right into into the twirling cloud of sand he jumped right before he tackled the other Pokémon. Seeing that it’s attack had failed the scruffy raccoon tried to get away using a quick attack, however with Ento’s heavy metal he was falling too fast for the Pokémon to get out of the way he crashed on top of the much smaller pokemon and a loud CRACK sounded out, Ento stood up slowly and backed up away from the corpse of the smaller creature, rushing over I inspected my Aron he was fine of course with nary a scratch on him. A ding sounded out, yet another small screen popped into view as I was processing the death of a pokemon.

Ento was covered in a bright white light, after which he looked no different. He did seem to be in deep thought as he stood there with no reaction. A little worried but not overly concerned, I turned back to the corpse of the dead pokemon. It was most certainly dead when Ento had landed on it; his foot must have landed on it’s neck and crushed the bone that was there the rest of its body was intact. Picking up the dead carcass of the thing, the fur was as ragged as it appeared from a distance but was probably very warm, and that would be useful this high up on the mountain.
Taking off my bag I flipped open one of the pockets we hadn’t found a use for yet. The bag was a refrigerated pocket that kept things cool like a cooler but had a built in cooling function just like… well a refrigerator. Slowly stuffing the body of the animal inside to make sure I didn’t damage any of the internal organs and poison the meat. After my careful stuffing I turned to Ento, who by this time had recovered from the shock of what I could only assume was the learning of a new move. That brought my attention to the two level ups that we had gained from killing the pokemon. Deciding now was the time to either gain access to one of the best ways to grow stronger, or embarrass myself and look like a fool, I called out to the system.
“Status?”
Status Sheet

Abilities: N/A
Pokemon: 1 Aron(Ento),
Strength: 11
Speed: 4
Constitution: 12
Intelligence: 5
Spirit: 8
Will: 13
Well that was certainly interesting, Also what did it mean by spirit and will weren't those two things mutually exclusive? More Importantly abilities and skills. What were those, like for example my Taming skill, what did it mean by taming? Did I just have that skill? Or had I gotten the skill when Ento became my Pokemon? There were a lot of questions that this whole status sheet made me think about. I mean just look at the strength, speed, constitution, intelligence, spirit, and will statistics, what were the averages? Well if there was anything I could take away from this it was that we had gotten more than I was Expecting from the first battle Ento went through.
Sighing and shaking my head to clear the jumble, that my thoughts had become, away. I focused on our surroundings. I was just hoping that we didn’t run into anything that was too strong for me and Ento to handle on our own.
