Plans

Mr Thomas dusted his hands, "We don't have any cement left; we should get some tomorrow and block the only hole left in this toilet." Seeing they had only a hole left in the house, he laughed with satisfaction.

Mrs Thomas nodded, "I get that." She smiled; "you did a great job, Thomas."

"Mrs Thomas!"

Harold exclaimed, knocking on the door with a cat in his arms.

"Oh!" Mrs Thomas exclaimed excitedly. "Harold is here with the cat."

"You ask for a cat?" Thomas asked surprisedly and followed his wife to the door.

One of the rats in the toilet hole peered out as Mr and Mrs Thomas's voices faded.

"Oh! Damn!" Iza exclaimed and turned to the rest of the rats. "There is a cat here," She cried, pointing outside the hole. "What should we going to do now? We are trapped!" Iza said.

"Oh! This is bad," Kiel rubbed his head as he sat, looking gloomy.

"We have to get out of here; we should find our way out of this house." Drink encouraged.

"What?!" Every one of the six rats exclaimed as Drink said. They all looked at him with an expression, 'You don't know what you are talking about.'

"It's all your fault, Drink; you brought us here for food, and now, see, we are trapped here," Rose shouted, pointing at Drink; "You should be the one to pay for this!" She gritted her teeth.

"What? Me?" Drink placed his two hands surprisingly on his chest. "You agreed to come here, Rose; I never forced you. You all wouldn't have ended up here if you didn't all agree with me," He defended.

"Oh-Really?" Rose pushed him at his chest. "Really?" She scoffed, "You liar!"

"Enough!" Iza said. "We have to plan how to get out of here; they'll block this hole tomorrow. We don't have to drag what won't change anything now."

"Oh, no! No!" Kiel said, voice trembling as he shook his head with his hands on his head; "I don't want to go." He pointed outside the wall. "There's a cat there; I would rather stay here than go out and die." Fear etched on Kiel's face as his entire body trembled anxiously.

"Iza is right, Kiel," Drink softly said as he touched Kiel's shoulder. "If we decided to stay here, we will all die, and if we go out of here to escape, we might die, but there are chances that we might survive."

Kiel looked up at Drink with heartbreak and more fear, "We might survive?"

"At least it's better than not doing anything; we should face our fear. Avoiding our fear right now, we only cause all of us to die."

"Rubbish!" Rose spat. "I wouldn't have come here with you If I had known. I made a big mistake." She slapped her head. "How could you make such a fool of yourself, Rose?"

"You blamed everyone around you when we got into trouble. You're never at fault," Iza said angrily; "You've always been like this; no one forced you here," Iza yelled at Rose.

"I knew it! I knew it!" Spade laughed out. "You've always been so full of yourself, Iza. Bossing and correcting everyone around you. You think you can correct or boss everyone here?" Spade stomped.

"I?" Iza sniggered. "Love to boss everyone around? What the hell are you talking about? You should just shut up if you have nothing reasonable to help us out of here. Oh!" She sneered. "I almost forget you are brainless. I do wonder why the humans haven't found and killed you. You are not worthy to be among us."

"How dare you talk to me like that!" Spade grunted, his eyes crimson with anger as he balled his palms into fists that you might seen smoke billowing from his head like a chimney.

"We should all calm down_ _ _"

"DON'T TELL ME TO CALM DOWNN!" Spade cut Curtis off as he banged his fist on the table before Curtis' seat. "YOU. GET. LOST. IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY!"

Immediately, Curtis curled up into a ball-like hedgehog, squeaking in fear.

"We have to make plans." Drink approached Curtis's table and unfolded a map.

"Let's come closer."

Murmuring, Rose approached the table. With a sigh, Iza did. Grunting and glaring, Spade moved closer to them. Curtis bovinely raised his head, and Kiel stared at the map, his heart pounding with his teeth gritting each other like he caught a cold.

"The house is a story building. We will walk into Tanya's room once we get out of the toilet," Drink began. "We..."

"We are going to get killed," Kiel muttered.

'"Relax, Kiel," Drink said softly to him.

"Go on!" Rose said impatiently. "If you want to stay here and rotten away, then do. But don't ever speak again," She threatened, her eyes piercing into Kiel's skin like a gimlet.

Kiel squeaked, head bent.

"You should take it easy with Kiel. He's just scared," Iza said abruptly.

"Can't you just keep shut?"

"Why?!" Iza yelled at Spade.

"Co's your voice disgust me. We are enemies, and enemies hate to hear each other voices."

"Will you just keep quiet and listen to Drinkkkk!" Rose's roar vibrated the whole room. Kiel and Curtis covered their ears with their hands as the room echoed back her roar.

"Okay! Okay, guys," Drink sighed and looked at Rose, Iza, and Spade with an appealing look.

"Let's get to work," Drink looked at his wristwatch, "It's five minutes to twelve," he turned to everyone. "We have to find our way out before dawn," he informed and turned back to the map. Not wanting anyone to respond, he continued.

"We can successfully get out of Tanya's room through her door. The door had a space underneath it that we can all pass through." He moved his fingers to the stairs. "We will descend these stairs and go straight to the kitchen. We entered through one of the holes there, but now," he looked up at everyone, "we are going to find our way out through the window."

"How?" Rose inquired. "Cut the net?"

"We have no other choice," Spade said curtly. "Or do you have your ideas?" He arched his brow at her.

Rose scoffed but ignored him. "What else? Let's leave now."

"Wait! What about the cat?" Kiel looked at them with an expression, "Have you forgotten the cat!"

Drink sighed and pinched his brows. "We have to fight, Kiel. Hey!" Drink's face brightened, and he got a spatula from his bag. "Have it, Kiel. You have to fight. We all have to fight. This is we fight or die!" He patted Kiel with a victory smile; "We're going to win. Trust me."

Staring up at Drink with his big crystal eyes, he nodded with a forced smile.
