It was Saturday 8:30 a.m. when Daemon's alarm clock started ringing. Daemon threw it to the wall breaking the clock.
- Damm, I have to buy a new one. Well, it not that I don't have to go to shopping today... I still can't believe what happened yesterday... What the hell was that aura? Maybe I get answers in the future... - with that said he putted on his favourite black leatherjacket covering one of his favourite black T-shirt, some dark blue jeans and a black boots. - Let's see. Do I have the trinity with me? Eye patch - check, money - check, keys - check. Okay. Everything ready. Let's get moving.
It was 8:50 a.m. when he arrived to the front gate. He saw that Dianne also arrived earlier. She was wearing red coloured blouse matching miniskirt and boots. There was quite a fair amunth of shown skin for eye candy for Daemon and he accepted it without raising a single complainment about a small gift.
- Hi! It's seems you also come earlier.
- Thanks. Shall we get going?
- Sure. Lead the way.
- Can I tell you something? I know you might will be angry but I should tell you regardless why I called you.
- Don't worry about it, just go ahead and tell me.
- You know that I'm a princess?
- Obviously...
- Because of that I cannot be left without any guards outside of the academy. And you see... I hate the Royal Guards. They can't even let you breathe without making sure there is no poison in the air. And you quite stronger than the whole Royal Guard squad just by yourself. So I thought that you would be better bodyguard and that one of the reason why I called you. Are you angry now?
- Well... They just doing their job... I'm not that angry because of this, don't worry about it...
They arrived to the Royal Mall after a few minutes of walking. Right after they entered one of the guards noticed that the princess with an unknown boy instead of her bodyguards. The guard alerted the rest of the mall security as they steeped toward the boy.
- Hey you! Who are you that you think you can be that friendly with the princess?
- Her classmate, now if you excuse us. - Daemon tried to shake them off with a cold reply.
- You have some nerves to speak to us like that. Leave her alone or else!
- Else what? She was the one who asked me to come with her. Are you going to attack me? Don't be absurd.
The guards all nodded looking each other s they agreed with each other without saying a word.
- You asked for it you little bastard. - most of the guards charged toward him while the rest tried to make some space by leading the civilians further away from the "incident".
The Dianne tried to step forward to stop them but Daemon block her way.
- It's okay, don't worry about them.
One of the guard dashed forward and tier to pierce Daemon's left arm. Daemon dodged the strike effortlessly by jumping back a few meter. Another guard tried to attack him from behind with a short sword. Daemon jumped up into the air and got behind the guard who tried to backstab him. With his raw strength he pushed the guard in front of him forward and let the his first and second attacker collide with each other.
- Does he enjoy toying with them? - Dianne asked herself.
The guards didn't lose their fighting spirits and continued assault him with various type of weapons. Daemon only dodged the strikes without fighting back.
The guards started become exhausted. Daemon also started got bored of them after a few minutes.
- Even my standard training is harder than fighting with you guys... Come on... Put some spirit into it... - Daemon started mocking them.
- Just what kind of training is that? All of those strikes done with almost of the speed of sound... - Dianne startled. - Teacher must be a sadist...
Daemon played around with them, those who could watch it could also tell them... He didn't take them seriously.
Who is he? How could someone without even releasing one's first stage defeat the armed guards this easily? Is he really one of the classmate of the 7th princess?
This kind of questions filled the heads of those who watched this one-sided "battle".
Daemon played with them. Once he caught one guard he would throw that guard to other guards, other times he simply kicked or hit them to lose their consciousness. After most of the guard were lying in the floor, most unconscious. He simply stopped. He clearly had the smile of the Devil in his face.
- Wanna continue? - Daemon asked them in a cold voice. The rest of the guards collapsed in either fear or ran away.
It not like the guards were weak... It was more for the fact that Daemon used one of his technique, "Body Enchantment "to further increase the difference between strength.
- See, I told you it will be okay, and don't worry about them. I didn't kill any of them.
- Thanks, I hope they will learn from this.
Dianne shook her head hoping that they will leave them alone after that.
- Shall we continue then, Dianne. - Daemon asked her in a gentle voice.
Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit.
- He quickly changes gears. - she thought.
- Sure! Let's go! - with smile on her face she nodded.
They enjoyed themselves while shopping, Daemon even brought a new alarm clock. When Dianne heard why he need to buy a new one she held her stomach laughing. The clock he used supposed to withstand a stage two dragon yet Daemon broke it without even releasing his first stage.
- Let's take a break. - Dianne proposed while pointing toward a bench.
Daemon nodded.
Dianne slightly leaned on Daemon who sat next to her. Daemon acted like he didn't notice.
- Daemon, what are your plans in the future? Based on your plans you can change the world you know...
Daemon looked up the sky and signed.
- Plans for the future? I don't have such things yet. I always wondered about it when I was human... Now I simply don't know... Maybe becoming some big shot would be easy but I lack the patience to be one. I'm bad at teaching so I would be bad candidate for being a teacher. The fact is... Even if not for Samantha I would have become some random adventurer in one of the other realms connected to this realm. Meeting with elves, dwarfs, hunting dragons. I'm not sure. Well... I did hunt those lizard type dragons. Maybe if not for her, I would have never meet you guys nor with that seven headed drunktard who I wholeheartedly can call friend. I do owe her I guess... Wait... I changed the subject, didn't I?
Dianne shook her head.
- No, it's okay... If you would ask the servants in the royal palace they would tell you that I also change the subject in these type of questions quite a lot. Ohhh right... I heard that Miss Crimsonfire plans some sort of trip sometimes in the next few weeks. Do you know about something about it?
- Trip ehh... Well knowing her she possibly plans to give you girls a special training like I had back then. I can guess some places where she would go if that the case but I rather not think too deeply about it.
- A training camp? It sounds interesting... - Dianne nods with satisfaction in her face.
- How naive of her... Call it a training camp...- Daemon thought.
- Dianne, shall we continue?
- Daemon.
- Yes?
- You did train with with Miss Crimsonfire, didn't you?
- Yeah... way more than necessary...
- What kind of training we will have based on your experience with her?
- Something that will pulverize your pride, at least that what happened to my seniors. Basically she is unreasonable, strict but even with that she really does her job well...
- That didn't help you know...
- Dianne. - Daemon stopped her.- You realised that you been followed since the academy.
- No, but why didn't you tell me that earlier.
- It was entertaining first. That face when I beat up the guards were priceless... I kept sending him signals to him about the fact that I know about him, but he doesn't get it... - Daemon reached to his pocket and pulled out a small vial.
- Hold it a second please. - with that he handed over the vial.
Daemon reached out his palm before him and casted Materialization magic.
- " Materialization: Needle "
A small, 3 centimetre long thin needle appeared in his palm.
- Sage tier Materialization? Why are you using that useless magic and on this level?
- Why would it be useless?
- You know that this magic uses more mana at master tier than a lower class God tier spell?
- Well... No.
- Why I'm not surprised anymore...
- Anyway please give me back that vial.
Dianne handed over the vial carefully.
- What is it inside that vial anyway?
- Oh this... Paralysis poison. - Daemon answered in a calm voice.
- Why are you keeping paralysis poison with yourself? Why are you have it at the first place?
- Well... There was a time when I had to kidnap a pope for some information... Let's say my relationship with the Temple in the Axra realm is not the best...
- Let's say I didn't ask it, okay?
Dianne at this point lost all hope that she can understand Daemon. Daemon calmly applied the poison to the needle and threw it casually. Even with the crowd present the needle with amazing accuracy found it mark and hit their secret follower. Within seconds their follower collapsed within the crowd.
The crowd started panicking seeing that a man without any reason collapsed suddenly.
- Well... Let's go, the guards will take care of the rest.
With that said, Daemon put away the small vial and slowly walked away with Dianne next to him.
Author Note: His steamrolling will end around the 8th chapter, just keep up with Daemon's unreasonableness until that time.
