George sat on the very edge of his chair in the living room with his parents and older brother Joe in silence. On the magitech TV in front of him was a count down for the 50th generation of hero’s to be summoned to their corners of reality.

Although a Modern world, George had grown up learning to use a sword, spear and bow at school and had even been taught some basic CQC skills by his brother Joe that were from the military. This was all to prepare him for his ‘trail to adulthood’ which was the process of being summoned. Although George knew everything from cartography to basic army leader ship nothing could prepare him for the horror he was about to face. This was due to what little was known about the system and the trails it sets for the ‘user’. Most generally it’s to remove corruption from a world e.g. cliche demon lord storyline A or maybe on rarer occasion a portal to the corrupt realms of chaos. So everything was done to prepare.

All of this however didn’t stop George’s nervousness though because as an quiet teen with dreams of a harem he could help but think of the millions of possibilities of death.
