I suddenly awoke to the sound of someone crying and quiet talking near me. [ Look at him. He's grown, and he seemed to have aged. Aiden, whatever the god of Knowledge gave him, did something .]

[I don't know Chloe, but look at his ears their pointed I should tell my father about this once he retunes.]

There was a pose, and then they started talking again. [ You don't think Kai could of? No, that's impossible. His meridians were destroyed. It should have been impossible.]

[But it was a medicine given to him by the god of Knowledge, so maybe it's possible.]

I realized I knew the voices; they were my mothers and fathers. I noticed the feeling of someone stroking my hair. I suddenly realized that I could feel my legs and my body felt lighter. I opened my eyes and tried to sit up, but I launched myself off the bed and onto the floor instead of doing that. I could hear two people scream in alarm, and then I listened to the very familiar voice of my mother coming from the bed. [What happened, Kai? Are you ok.]

I let out big grown then said, [I think so.]

I very slowly got to my feet and turned towards my bed. Both my mother and my little sister Jade were sitting on the bed, and my father was sitting in a chair next to it, and they all had one this in common. They all had shocked looks on their faces.

My mother very shakily said, [K-Kai your legs? how is this possible?]

I took a step forward and fell flat on my face. Jessica helped me up, and instead of walking, I just focused on standing. My sister rubbed her eyes to make sure what she saw was there.

I closed my eyes and focused on the Manna in my body.

I opened my eyes, raised my hand, and silently willed a ball of fire to form above my palm. All three family members let out gaps as I did so, and my mother started to cry and started to speak, [Aiden, is this happening? He can finally use magic.]

My father just nodded as tears silently fell down his face. My sister just looked like she didn't quite know what had happened. Just then, I took in my surroundings. From the light coming through the window, it was already nighttime, and I also could feel hot blood running from my nose. I must have injured it when I fell. I quickly recalled a simple healing spell and was surprised at how easy it was to cast and quickly heal my nose. Luckily I had studied so much magic in the past because I could remember every spell that I ever read about or saw. Just then, I heard my father call out into the hall ad say, [call the doctor back Kai has woken up, and we need him to be checked.]

I looked at my father and said, [I'm fine, no, I'm better than fine.]

My mother walked up to me and pulled me into a hug. I hugged her back, but to my surprise, when I did, she let out a grown, and I heard her back pop, and then she said, [Sweetie, you're squeezing too hard.]

I let go and apologized multiple times. Then she grabbed my face, looked into my eyes, and said, [ this is a miracle; what happened? Several hours ago, Jessica told us that you wanted to show us something, and when we arrived, you were passed out and slightly glowing, so we called for a doctor to figure out what was wrong, and he couldn't figure out what was wrong was wrong with you. Still, he couldn't find anything wrong other than it seemed that you were going through a big growth spurt all at once. When it stopped, you had grown and had been healed, and your ears and your eyes had changed.]

I looked at her and said, [what do you mean? My ears and eyes changed.]

In answer, she just pointed to the mear to my left, when I turned to look at it I was surprised to see that my ears and eyes looked like my grandfather's. The dragon blood in me had awakened, and I now had slightly pointed ears, and my eye more closely resembled dragons, but there was a slight difference in my eyes from my grandfathers. Now my eyes were red like they were before, but now they had tiny flecks of gold in the red, and it was a slightly mesmerizing sight. I turned back to my mother and said, [Ohh, I'm like Grandfather.]

My mother just nodded in response. Just then, an elderly man can into the room. After checking me over thoroughly, the doctor told my parents that I was completely fine and wholly cured from what had happened to me due to the poison. And then, I explained to my parents that the God of Knowledge had shown me how to heal myself, and I did it. This was surprised my parents but not too much because it wasn't unheard of for some special people to have conversations, so they accepted my lie pretty quickly. After that, there were hugs and congratulations, and then my mother said, [it's late. We should let you rest, I will send Marry up with a plate of food for you, and then tomorrow, we will have a feast to celebrate your recovery. I will send word to your brothers and your grandfather at the academy, and they will hopefully be able to come back for the celebration.]

Then my mother froze and started to cry again. When she started to speak again, there was joy in her eyes, [you will be able to attend the academy next year along with the rest of the people your age. You will finally be able to fulfill your dream of becoming as strong as your grandfather.]

I just smiled and gave her another hug and cried along with her.

I hadn't thought about that, but it's true, and I was extremely excited to think about being able to attend the academy next year. I looked at my mother and smiled and said, [you're right. I'm looking forward to it.] then I turned to my father and asked, [would it be possible for me also to get taught by Jade's tutor or find someone else to tutor me, I have read tuns of books on magic, and I understand how a lot of things work from the books and what I have observed, but it would be good to get some instruction from someone who is highly knowledgable on magic. Also, it appears that I will need new clothes because my old ones won't fit.]

My father nodded and said, [I will discuss the matter of a tutor with your grandfather tomorrow. It is wise to get you a proper teacher to avoid being left behind when you attend the academy. Also, you seem to be about the same size as your brother Stephen so tomorrow you can go to the capital through the portle gate and buy all new clothes and your other necessities. We will also need to see if you are more suited to long-range mage or close combat mage.]

Ary cut in here, [from what I understand; it doesn't matter because your cultivation is more suited to close-combat, so I would advise you to go that route with magic too.]

I nodded and said, [from what I can tell, I would be more suited to close combat magic, but I can also have some talent in long-range too.]

My father just nodded his consent. Then they sed their goodnights and left. Ten minutes later, Jesica entered my room carrying a tray ladened with food. I stood up and walked over to her. Upon seeing this, she almost dropped the tray and started to cry. After about a minute of silence, she spoke, [Young Master Kai, your legs you have been healed, I heard but seeing it with my eye, it a miracle. I'm so glad that I got to see you walk.]

We talked for ab and then she left to let me eat and sleep. While I was eating, I started to discuss things with Ary.

[Hey, Ary, can you explain cultivation and the first process I need to do to get to the first stage?]

[Well, cultivation is the process of infusing the energies of the world into your body to improve it and to reach the height of a Heavenly Immortal eventually. There are eleven stages, and each stage has many levels. The first stage is the body stage, and it has ten levels. This allows you to do inner body technics and not use Qi to do long-distance spells. The body stage is the easiest stage to pass through.]

Right now, I had too much energy to sleep, So I began to look inward to start cultivation.
