First Person POV (Kaint):
When I came to I found myself in a dark room with no one at all. I couldn't feel anything, I couldn't taste anything, I couldn't smell anything. There was simply sight and hearing left.
I looked around the room and a message popped up:
You have chosen immortal system, you will now be given a set amount of points to buy various skills and abilities to create your system. You will be assigned to a random mortal below the age of 10 on a random planet. Warning if your mortal host dies so will you. (Note: There are methods of ignoring this rules.)
As I read the message, my excitement slowly died. I tried to scream but there was only silence. I made a mental scream of why the fuck did I pick system if I'm going to die when my mortal hosts dies? What's the point of being immortal when my host is not? At least there are methods of surviving without one right? Let me try this, I made a metal shout of "Show me all methods of living without a host."
The room around me lit up with countless options.
I closed my eyes, blinded by the sudden bursts of light. What the hell? I saw all sorts of what appeared to be buttons with various colours. The buttons were quite literally rainbow coloured. Red colured buttons had a million, orange had a hundred thousand, yellow had ten thousand, green had a thousand, blue had a hundred, indigo had ten, and there was a single violet button with a strange feel to it, as if there was nothing more significant, nothing more important. I watched as the options rapidly disappeared leaving behind the single violet button. It said: Gain Immortal Body imbued with all abilities purchased. (Price: 1 Billion Points)
I thought to myself: This must be it, the immortal body god talked about, but wait, that means there’s no other way to survive without a host? What about changing a host or increasing my host’s lifespan? The violet button disappeared, only to be replaced by ten indigo buttons. The buttons said many things but the price was the same, (One Free Indigo Purchase).
My options were:
Item Transfer: Transfers The System To An Object Of Your Choosing. Warning, If The Item Breaks The System Will Die.
Blood Line Transfer: Transfers The System To A Descendant Of The Original Host With the Strongest Bloodline. If There Is No Descendants, The System Will Die.
Random Transfer: Transfers The System To A Random Person. This Will Consume A Thousand Points.
Contract Transfer: Transfers The System To A Person When Certain Conditions Are Met. Contract Requires A Thousand Points To Be Created. Both Parties Must Be Willing.
Trial Transfer: Transfers The System To A Person Who Passes A Trial Designed By You. Cost Varies Depending On The Trial.
Possession Transfer: Allows The System To Travel And Search For A New Host. If New Host Is Unwilling, System Can Use Points To Possess Host Forcefully By Using Points. Points Consumed Depending On Strength Of New Host. Every Second Without A Host Consumes One Point.
Fragmented Transfer: Transfers The System To A Number Of People. System Strength Will Be Weakened Accordingly. A Non-Refundable Cost Of A Thousand Points Is Required.
Time Transfer: Transfers The System Back To The Host But Rewinds Time First. Time Is Rewound At A Rate Of One Point Per Second. Non-Refundable Cost Of One Thousand Points.

Parallel Transfer: Transfers The System To A New Host But In An Alternate Universe. Cost Of Ten Thousand Points.
Custom Transfer: Custom Transfer
All of this options were complicated with their own pros and cons. However, I knew exactly what I wanted. Having made up my mind, I selected a button, praying to god that I didn’t screw up.
I pressed bloodline transfer. The main reasons being, no points required, it sounds cool, I instinctively liked it, also I may or may not be horny. Just the thought is turning me…… Wait but I don’t have a body anymore. Shit! Well fuck, I mean I could end up obtaining that sweet, sweet immortal body, I’m sure it will all work out. I noticed that my options were all indigo, so there must be some sort of colour coding involved. I did the only logical thing and asked the rather helpful messages. “How are the skills and colours related?”
Red: Abilities Tier 1- Common Animal/Animalistic
(Rank up required) Orange: Abilities Tier 2- Great Animal/Basic Understanding
(Rank up required) Yellow: Abilities Tier 3- Common Beast/Complex Understanding

Violet: Immortal Body
A shit ton of information showed up. I couldn’t help but ask, “Why are there two names for abilities?” Mr Message said: It Is As Abilities Are Classified Into Two Main Groups, Physical And Mental. “What’s the difference?” I followed up. Physical Involves Physical Changes Such As Scales And Claws, While Mental Changes Involves Now Information Such As Sword Fighting And Gun Mastery. I asked once more, “Does a new race consists of solely physical abilities? What Category does magic fall under?” No, There Is Large Amounts Of Freedom When Creating A New Race, It Simply Requires At Least Five Blue Tiers Some Synergy Between The Skills. As For The Second Question, Magic Is Too Vague, I Will Assume You Are Talking About Supernatural Abilities. Most Often These Abilities Will Consist Of Physical Abilities.
Satisfied with the answers, I ask Mr Messages to explain white buttons in more detail. System Upgrades Involve Upgrading The System, For Instance Giving You The Ability To Talk With Your Host. Talking with my hosts? I quickly ask Mr Messages to show me methods of communicating with my host. Roughly 50+ options showed up so I spent some time looking through them. I settled on basic telepathy which costs 150 points, but before I made any more mistakes, I asked the system for some important details. “What are points? How many do I have? How do I get more?” Points Are The Currency Used To Purchase Upgrades, You Have 1000 Points, Points Can Be Earned By Having The Host Complete Achievements, Achievements Will Be Hidden From You. Additionally, For Every Day That The Host Survives, 1 Point Will Be Awarded. I still bought the telepathy anyways, but having to figure out what achievements there are will be annoying. I have 850 Points left now.
First Person POV:
Now let me think about what I need. I need an offensive skill, defensive skill, and a recovery skill, maybe a movement skill too. Let’s start with an offensive skill. However, before that I need to consider my end goal. To pick between physical and mental skills was an easy decision. I was always a firm believer of absolute power and I did not see any reason to change that, hence I made the decision of going for physical skills. Besides, I just had to buy a mental skill if I wanted some technical skills. Now for the most important question, what is the race I want to reach? I already decided on going for a dragon-like build, focusing on defense and strength. For the offensive skill, I got Red Tier Claws: Gives The Host Claws (20 Points) and upgraded it to Orange Tier Claws: Gives The Host Stronger Claws (200 Points). I had 630 Points left.
As for a defensive skill, I got Red Tier Scales: Gives The Host Scales (15 Points), Red Tier Flesh (Shock-Absorbent): Gives The Host Flesh Resistant To Impacts (20 Points), Orange Tier Scales: Gives The Host Scales (150 Points) and Orange Tier Flesh (Shock-Absorbent): Gives The Host Flesh Resistant To Impacts (200 Points). Now I had 245 Points left.
Finally, I picked out a very “dragon” sort of recovery skill, surprisingly a mental skill. Red Tier Healing Rest: Causes The Host To Enter A State Of Rest, Which Increases Healing Rate (10 Points), and it’s orange tier version, Orange Tier Healing Rest: Causes The Host To Enter A State Of Rest, Which Increases Healing Rate (100 Points). I was left with 135 Points so I spent the Points on Red Tier Muscle Strength (20 Points), Red Tier Reflexes (20 Points), Red Tier Recovery Speed (20 Points), Red Tier Body Durability (50 Points) and Red Tier Stamina (20 Points), leaving me with 5 Points.
Alright! I was finished with my set up, so I asked Mr Messages to send me to my host. The next thing I knew, I felt a series of connections form. I could now see what my host looks like as well as telepathically communicate with him. How I knew it was a him? Because the first thing I heard was a deep, booming Hello? What’s happening?
