Earth.. The little blue planet that everyone knows.. 

The year is 2024, our story takes place in Australia, Brisbane. Jake awoke on this typical Monday morning with his smartphone alarm blaring the hit single of Rick Roll at 7am. Jake in his half asleep motion moved to find the phone lying on his dresser next to his bed and as his hand reached it, flinged it across the room.

*I really need to change that damn alarm* Jake thought. Slowly getting up off the bed Jake sat up, looking out the window of his small one bedroom apartment. He noticed it still seemed a little dark for it being 7am. Jake made his way to the bathroom and did his usual routine of brushing his teeth and making his way to the shower. 

After a shower and waking up a little, Jake made his way to the kitchen to get a bite to eat and turned on the news like he normally would. The news being nothing out of the ordinary, same earthquakes happening around the world that the scientists still don't know why. Some archaeology happening in Egypt due to a new dig site being found. Otherwise the same old same old.

Jake looked at the clock on the wall. *Damn it, I'm going to be late!* Jake rushed to get dressed and looked for his phone which he threw across his bedroom. *Where the hell is it* Finally finding his phone hiding behind an old computer he had from back when he was in high school that he used to play with his old friends. He did a quick check in his mirror before heading out for work but stopped and couldn't quite put his finger on what seemed different. 

Jake was tall most of his life even when he hit his teenage years. He was passed as an adult due to his height and his mature demeanour. Blonde hair, broad shoulders and a beer belly that just won't go away after hitting his 20’s. Jake was not a 10 in any regard but he was a close 6 maybe.. *Still a 6 I see, what is different, is it my eyes?* Jake made the typical blinking quickly to see if it was really his eyes.. *naahhh cant be.. Shit I'm gonna be late!* 

Rushing to get to work as Jake did not have a car and had to use the train to get to work rushed to the nearest train station. Luckly with the advance of the 20th century trains were used a lot more, to a point where cars were for the wealthy and trains were used for everything/everyone else. Rushing through the ticket exchange for the trains Jake made it to his platform just as the train was getting there.

*Phew! I made it just in time..* Looking around to find a seat, Jake still had a strange feeling that he just could not get rid of.. *Did I miss a report or something on Friday… Why do I feel like something's not quite right..*

All of a sudden an earthquake hit one that has never been felt before. Richter scales all around the world fritzing out. Due to the sheer momentum from the earthquake and moving forward, Jake went flying as the train seemed to have hit something causing him to go flying through the train cabin. Closing his eyes and praying.. Just before he hit the door on the end of the cabin he was teleported.

Slowly Jake opened his eyes. *Where am I? Why is everything white* Slowly Jake managed to notice things appearing in front of him. Right in front he saw a table and two chairs opposite each other appear out of nowhere. *ok this is a bit weird I must've really have hit my head hard to be seeing this.. Wait, maybe I'm dead??*

 “Welcome Lifeform from earth.” All of a sudden someone appeared on the other side of the table, he seemed normal at first glance wearing a makeshift butler looking uniform.. But if you looked closely you'd notice he had no face.. Where his eyes, nose and mouth were meant to be there was nothing. 

“Please sit, there is much to discuss.” the butler looking man said, motioning Jake to sit down on the chair in front of him. “Now I'm sure you have a lot of questions that I unfortunately will not be able to answer. Do know you are not dead like you thought, but are animated in space and time in a secluded area for the time for me to explain what is happening” 

*Great, this guy can read my thoughts… I do like his butler uniform though really suites him* “Why thank you Jake Steel” Jake's eyes went wide.. “How do you know my name?” a calm feeling took over Jake after he asked before he could get any kind of anxiety feeling. “I will get to that later, you and a few others from your planet have been picked to be included in the tutorial. Congratulations” the butler smiled at least he thought it's a smile.. “This is still confusing.. What is the tutorial? What's happened to my world? If I'm not dead, is there a way to get back?” The calm feeling came back to Jake.

“The tutorial is a space for all the earthlings to help be integrated in the new universe and galaxies. Moving forward you will be given choices to make you stronger and whether that is through combat or through a profession that is your choice. Do know that there are a few that are very interested in you… BUT that is for another time” the butler smiled again… 

“As for the rest of your questions you will have to find out yourself” the butler said ominously.. “We have implemented a few helpful things for newcomers and what is included is a system that I'm sure you have heard of before, you earthlings do really like your video games and novels even if they have somehow ripped off our system albeit a little bit worse than the real thing.” “Now Jake I want you to say “status” and see what comes up” 

*This is so weird…* “Status”

“Now as you can see this is your basic information, do note you're not special, everyone in the whole universe and galaxies can do this, also since you have been integrated in the system you will also be given a free skill that we all receive do make sure to check it out later..” “Ah also before I forget here you go, since you have a really important individual watching you, you have been given a starter pack that will be with a little something extra” The butler man handing a weird stone to Jake. 

“Just will for it to go into your inventory and it will” Jake did just that and it disappeared. “How neat, how big is the inventory?” Jake asked. “It is around 10 cubic meters, but do be aware you are not able to store “living” things in there.” Jake just stared at the butler man.. *living things?.. What would I want to do that for??* “Some people have weird motives and actions..” the butler explained, quickly moving on.

“Now for the exciting part Jake” the butler man swiped his hand over the table from the left to the right and a few items appeared on the table. “You are able to pick one combat class for the tutorial, do note that your profession is up to you to delve into.” On the table there was a sword and shield, a staff, a bow, dual daggers and a spear. 

Jake looking at the items on the table thought long and hard about what he wanted to do moving forward.. *hmmm I'm not really big on taking hits.. It's not a video game after all. I don't think I'd be too good with a bow either… hmmmm… magic would be interesting but I will probably be behind trying to learn it all where if someone has a dagger or spear would most likely they will be able to start straight away. I really like daggers… it totally has nothing to do with me wanting to be able to stealth around and maybe pick off enemies before they notice me.. I'm not that scared…*

“I'll take the daggers” a screen appeared in front of Jake that only he could see.

The typical stealth character in your light novels and games, be prepared if you pick this class you will not be as tanky as a warrior or as versatile as a mage but you will be able to almost always make the best of what you have.  Rogues can either be deadly assassins/lone wolf or part of an organization normally related to crime.

Jake selected Yes and all the items on the table disappeared, he wasn't too sure what happened but the butler explained seeing his flabbergasted face. “Congratulations you have picked the Rogue class, very interesting… Well you will find the stats will be added once you are teleported to the tutorial and also make sure to check your inventory when you get there.” 

“Now Jake Steel, do enjoy your tutorial and good luck… you will need it.” 

All of a sudden everything went white and the next second Jake was standing in a forest. Trees as far as the eye could see.. Which was not too far. Jake looked down and realized he was in his birthday suit and quickly freaked out. *damn tutorial leaving me with nothing… thankfully there doesn't seem to be anyone nearby.. I should check that inventory thing the butler was talking about* 

Jake opened his inventory which was pretty much just thinking about his inventory and he was able to see what was inside. Inside he found what looked like a stone that you would find along the road, two daggers in their sheath and a present which was wrapped in a blue cover and a big red bow on top. 

Willing the present out of his inventory, the present appeared in his hand. *interesting.. it seems to always appear in my hand when I want something to come out of my inventory..* a cold wind blew and Jake quickly realized he needed to find some clothes or something to cover up.. 

Quickly opening the present he found it seemed to be a full set of clothes and also boots. Jake quickly, not missing a beat put on the black long pants, green shirt and dark grey boots. Looking a little weird with his getup he all of a sudden got a system message pop up in front of him.

“Dear Earthlings, Welcome to the Tutorial! There is only one goal here and that is to survive… do ENJOY” 

Days until the tutorial ends: 1 Year

“Why did you interfere Lelantus? For an earthling who has not even entered the tutorial no less.. Have you gone mad?” 

“I can never get used to you being able to sense me system.. I'm meant to be The move unseen or go unobserved yet you seem to be able to throw that out the window..” A tall figure with blonde shoulder length hair and broad shoulders appeared out of nowhere, the figure looked like a bodybuilder with his perfect abs and rock hard muscles. “To answer your question, I have simply helped a mortal a little. He seems quite interesting, picking a class that I made and also he seems to be able to think on the spot which is a plus.” 

The butler or otherwise known as the system just sighed “very well, but don't think this will happen every tutorial, and now that I have let you do this I have to allow the others too.” 

“Of course system, fairness is the motto of the system is it not?” Lelantus smiled a fake smile. “Careful Lelantus you are but an ant before me and I can squish you if I feel like it.” 

Lelantus frowned and disappeared from the area. “Psh what a pain, I'm sure this tutorial will be one to remember, that Jake fellow has a lot potential if he doesn't die soon..”
