Jake woke up after a restless night of trying to sleep on the hard floor and hearing animal noises all night. *I really need to find some water and try make a makeshift bed or something*

Jake grabbed some of the left over of food he cooked last night and ate it cold, rather than making a fire. His mission was to find water as soon as possible.

Jake walked out of the cave while munching on some strips of warthog with his dagger in one hand and the other in his inventory. He took a right straight out of his cave/ home

"It sounds like the thunder sound of a waterfall, so hopefully I'm going in the right direction.."

After walking for 10 minutes, more so trying to stay stealthy even though there wasn't many trees near the mountain. He eventually came across a huge lake that had a waterfall cascading into it.

There he saw a warthog on the otherside of the lake drinking the water. *Since animals are drinking the water it should be fine.. hell I don't even know if there is a chance of being sick with leveling and all..*

Keeping an eye on the surroundings Jake bent down and cupped some water in his hands to drink his fill, his daggers right next to him at the ready.

BAM

All of a sudden there was a loud crashing sound. Almost like something hit a tree at full speed and then he heard shouting.

"What do you mean you don't have anymore food! You only had one job! I knew we shouldn't have grouped with you. You are probably keeping some for yourself in your inventory! Leave everything and we will leave you alive!"

Jake slowely made his way towards the sounds and spotted three people in the area. A man with black hair, a woman who had bright red hair and another woman who had blonde hair laying against the tree who looked to be bleeding from the impact of hitting the tree.

Jake silently tried to listen in to their conversation.

"Let's just kill her and be done with it Andrew." The redhead said.

"True we could Alisha, we could also find out if people really drop their inventory when they die.. so many people have died already what's one more." The black haired man who seemed to be named Andrew said.

Andrew slowely made his way over to the blonde haired girl who seemed to have been frozen from the skirmish.

Jake figuring out the situation and slowely made his way behind the red head named Alisha and slowly made his way towards her trying not to make a sound.

*If I don't do this they will kill her.. it seems over food or something insignificant.. they definitely are bad people.. hope they didn't find my cave..*

Jake got behind Alisha as soon as Andrew was a step away from the blonde girl and he did what every typical movie does when you see them try to stealth kill someone, he put his hand on her mouth and slashed his dagger across her throat.

He instantly got a notification but ignored it as Jake slowly put Alisha down on the ground. Making his way to Andrew, Jake still tried to be stealthy when his plan seemed to go mishap.

"Hey Alisha reckon I can have some fun with this blondie??"

Getting no answer Andrew turned around as if sensing something was wrong and instantly was met with a dagger to the heart and lung. Wide eyed and coughing out blood he eventually died.

Jake looked at the bodies infront of him and threw up once his heart rate started increasing. *What was that.. I pretty much wasn't myself.. it's like this has all hit me at once…*

Trying to calm down Jake made his way to the blonde girl who still is staring straight at Jake.

Jake scratched his head and held out his hand "Hi, um I'm Jake what's your name?"

The blonde girl finally snapped out of it and slowely got up, leaning against the tree to support herself.

"Thank you for helping me these people promised to help me with this tutorial thing and pretty much just made me carry everything.. umm my name is Alyssa" Alyssa said still abit weary of Jake.

"Hi Alyssa, it seems that they where going to kill you. I just wanted to help. If you don't mind I'm going to see if they had anything good on them and then head back to the lake.."

Jake lowered his hand obviously Alyssa was not in the right frame of mind for a hand shake.. he started walking to Andrews body and looked at all his items he had.

*HM seems like people don't drop their inventory when they die.. atleast there's nothing extra like weapons other than the staff/club Andrew had on him..*

Looking at the staff it was a basic weapon that had a mage requirement not being stingy Jake still put it in his inventory incase he can trade it with other people for things he needs like a water bottle at the moment.

Alyssa watch alone at the side. *This guy just killed these people and he's looting them almost as if he squashed a bug.. should I try stick to him.. I can't really fight being a mage class.. Ah he took my staff Andrew stole.*

"Um, excuse me uh… Jake can I go with you? I don't really have a weapon as Andrew took it from me when we met.. and I haven't leveled up yet.. but I do have a profession! I also can carry your things for you and do some other things you need.."

Alyssa said while looking down and trying to make her sound useful.

Jake turned around after looting everything off Andrew which wasn't much just basic mage gear you get as a starter.. "are you a mage?" Jake asked. "Yes I am, that staff Andrew had was my staff tobegin with.. they said I wouldn't need it as they would protect me.." Alyssa said still looking at the floor..

"Here catch" Jake tossed the staff over 'did they take anything else from you? Also you need to start to think about protecting yourself.. you can come with me but you need to also protect yourself."

Alyssa's eyes shined when Jake said she could go with him. "Ok I'll try my best.. umm no they didn't take anything else they just took my weapon and never let me do anything other than carry their stuff.."

Jake quickly caught on that they might not have had anything in their inventory when they died if Alyssa was carrying everything for them..

"Ah ok no worries. I'm going to check the chick and see what she has and then get some more water.. can you keep an eye out if anything moves out there." Jake said. Alyssa eager to please nodded her head up and down quickly a lot and then tried to keep her eyes peeled for movement.

Jake went over Alisha's loot and like Andrew she had nothing noteworthy, the only good thing was she was a rogue to and Jake managed to get another set of daggers.

Pocketing everything he could he made his way to the lake, Alyssa noticing him about to leave quickly brought something up. "Um I know they tried to kill me.. but shouldn't we dig a grave or something for them? What if an animal eats them or gets attracted to the blood?"

Jake sighed. " You can dig a hole if you want to but I don't have a shovel and also it would be better to leave them out as maybe it'll stop a predator from attacking us.." Jake kept walking away.

Alyssa took one last look at the two corpses and then hurried to catch up to Jake.

They both got a big drink of water. While Jake was waiting for Alyssa to drink some water and settle down abit, he checked his notifications.

You gain currency points from killing anything in the tutorial and making things with professions, some achievements provide points as well.

*Hm.. so it doesn't really say what the points are used for.. But I guess its a currency to be able to buy and sell things in the tutorial?..* Noticing Alyssa is about done they made their way back to Jake's cave. On the way Jake got Alyssa to help him pick up any twigs and branches they could find to make a fire with, he also checked his supply of warthog and had enough to last until probably tomorrow.

Walking towards the cave Alyssa was a little worried, *He hasn't really said anything and mainly just looks like he's thinking while taking a stroll in the park..* what she didn't realise was that Jake was too busy thinking to be keeping lookout.

Thankfully they made it to the cave, and settled in as it was still midday they didn't have to go to sleep yet. Jake thought it would be a good idea to show where he is staying so if they get separated they know where to meet.

Making sure Alyssa is settled, Jake stood up. "Alright I'm going to go out. We still need food and also I'd like to try to make a bed of some sort , what are your plans?"

"I'm not really sure.. I have my profession but I can't really do anything without leather.. oh and don't worry about food I still have some left just not a lot.. probably enough for us for today."

Jake took a quick second after Alyssa said that *HM so she did keep food from those two.. remind me not to let her keep important things..*

"Ok I'll try to hunt some more to get you some leather and see what you can make.. by the way how did you get a profession?" Jake asked.

"Oh those two made me carry things and try to fix up their clothes when they fought monsters… so I was always trying to patch their clothes with whatever we had, which luckily enough was some leather from the warthogs in the area. Alisha used the dismantling skill because Andrew was too chicken to gut a warthog for food.. so I ended up getting the profession leatherworker"

*Hmm interesting so you can get a profession like that.. What do I want to do for mine.. I'm a rogue so something with poisons would be good.. Ah how about Alchemy! Maybe I can make some healing potions like in RPGs..*

"Ok cool, I'll keep an eye out. I've also got the dismantling skill so I should be able to get some meat and leather. I also want to scout the area so I'm going to be in this area and looking for warthogs, I'll see you in abit" Jake made his way out the cave and left a tired and ragged looking Alyssa in the cave.

Alyssa instantly nodded off, due to fatigue. Since this is the first time she has actually had a chance to rest she took it as soon as possible.
