CHAPTER 18 : The TRIAL LITRPG PART 1

The trial of the prince started he's just a mortal man with the name of Alex :

The evening sun cast a warm glow over the skyscrapers of New York City we're in 2090 , painting the bustling streets in shades of gold and amber. Amongst the throngs of people, Alex stood out with his headphones on, lost in the rhythm of his favorite playlist. He navigated the sidewalks with a practiced ease, his steps quick and purposeful.

As he turned the corner onto his street, the familiar sight of his apartment building greeted him. It was a nondescript building, sandwiched between a coffee shop and a convenience store, but to Alex, it was home. With a sigh of relief, he ascended the stairs to his third-floor apartment, anticipation building with each step.

Opening the door, Alex stepped into a world of organized chaos. Cables snaked across the floor, connecting various consoles and monitors in a labyrinth of technology. Posters adorned the walls, featuring characters from his favorite video games, their vibrant colors illuminated by the glow of his computer screens.

Alex settled into his gaming chair, the worn leather creaking beneath him as he fired up his computer. The screen flickered to life, revealing the login screen of his favorite MMORPG, "Chronicles of poersy ." With a grin, he entered his username and password, eager to lose himself in the digital realm once more.

Hours passed in a blur as Alex delved deeper into the virtual world of poersy. His character, a skilled mage named VALIR , traversed lush forests, treacherous mountains, and sprawling cities, his adventures limited only by the bounds of his imagination.

But as the clock struck midnight, an unexpected glitch rippled through the game world, causing Alex's screen to glitch and flicker. Before he could react, a blinding light engulfed him, pulling him into the heart of the digital landscape.

When the light finally subsided, Alex found himself standing in a clearing surrounded by towering trees, their branches reaching for the starlit sky above. The air was alive with the sounds of chirping crickets and rustling leaves, a stark contrast to the artificial hum of his apartment.

Alex stumbled forward, his senses reeling from the sudden transition. He reached out to touch a nearby tree, half-expecting his hand to pass through it like mist. But to his astonishment, the bark was solid beneath his fingertips, rough and textured against his skin.

Panic surged through Alex's veins as he struggled to make sense of his surroundings. This couldn't be real, he thought. It was impossible. But as he took in the sights and sounds of this new world, a sinking realization settled in the pit of his stomach.

Alex: whispering to himself "No way... This... this can't be happening."

This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.

But try as he might to deny it, the evidence was undeniable. Somehow, he had been transported from the confines of his apartment into the very world of his favorite game.

With a trembling hand, Alex reached into his pocket, fumbling for his phone. He pulled it out and stared at the screen, half-hoping to see the familiar icons and notifications that anchored him to reality. But the display remained dark, devoid of any sign of life.

Alex: voice barely above a whisper "This... this has to be some kind of elaborate prank. Maybe I fell asleep at my computer and this is all just a dream."

But even as the words left his lips, he knew deep down that they rang hollow. The texture of the bark beneath his fingertips, the gentle rustle of the leaves overhead – they were all too real to be dismissed as mere illusions.

As panic threatened to overwhelm him, Alex forced himself to take a deep breath, to focus on the present moment. He had to find a way to make sense of this, to navigate the unfamiliar landscape that stretched out before him.

With cautious steps, he began to explore his surroundings, his senses on high alert for any sign of danger. The forest was alive with the chatter of birds and the hum of insects, a symphony of life that echoed through the trees.

As he walked, Alex couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched, that unseen eyes followed his every move. He quickened his pace, his heart pounding in his chest as he searched for some semblance of familiarity in this strange new world.

And then, just as he was beginning to lose hope, he stumbled upon a clearing bathed in soft moonlight. At its center stood a figure cloaked in robes of deepest blue, their face obscured by the shadows.

For a moment, Alex hesitated, his mind racing with a million questions. But then he squared his shoulders and stepped forward, determination burning in his eyes.

Alex: voice steady, despite the turmoil within "Excuse me... I-I don't mean to intrude, but can you tell me where I am? How I got here?"

The figure turned to face him, their eyes glittering with ancient wisdom.

Sage: a hint of a smile playing at the corners of their lips " Welcome, traveler, to the realm of Poersy. You have been chosen for a purpose but weither you'll end up as a hero or a villain will depend on your own choices ."

Alex's mind raced as he struggled to make sense of the sage's cryptic words. Chosen one? Destiny? It all seemed so surreal, like something straight out of the fantasy novels he devoured as a child.

With a mixture of trepidation and nourvesness , Alex listened intently as the sage spoke, each word weaving a tale of magic and mystery. The sage gestured to the shimmering orb of light hovering before them, its ethereal glow casting dancing shadows across the clearing.

But as he looked into the sage's eyes, he saw a depth of wisdom and certainty that he could not ignore. There was truth in those words, a truth that resonated deep within his soul.

Alex: voice filled with determination "What do you need me to do? How can I fulfill this... destiny?"

The sage smiled, a knowing glint in their eyes.

Sage: "First, you must learn to harness the power that lies dormant within you. The dragon heart beats within your chest, a source of untold strength and potential. But to unlock its true power, you must undergo the trials that await you."

With a wave of their hand, the sage conjured a shimmering portal of swirling energy, its depths beckoning to Alex like a siren's song.

Sage: "Step through the portal, young traveler, and embrace your destiny. The journey ahead will not be easy, but know that you do not walk alone. The forces of light and darkness will vie for your soul, but with courage and determination, you will emerge victorious just be sure to stay away... stay away from her."
