The days turn into months and fall is approaching.
The shallow pond in his fortress is completely filled with dirt. Lie Mo will make a garden out of this patch of land. He also has a den with around twenty rabbits up in the fortress. He also put more rabbits into the desolate forest. The shelter turned into a small house. The storage is filled with wood, food and pelts. The only thing that is the same is that he still leaves no tracks behind.
Another few months pass by.
The weather is cold enough that snow starts to fall. It is peaceful and quiet. The winter is spent hunting and improving the infrastructure.
His martial arts skill are on the backburner. Lie Mo has nobody to spar with. And he has trained all the teachings of flexible bamboo that he had remaining. But that doesn’t mean he is slacking. He is constantly training for a few hours a day. It’s just that he is stagnating. One can also say he is slowly deepening his familiarity with his current power level.

Months pass by and it turns spring.
His shelter has proven to be reliable. It was warm enough in the coldest days and it was robust enough in the strongest storm.
The food storage is mostly gone. But he didn’t have to eat any bunnies.
Mating season starts. And after the mating season the bunnies start having babies. This is when he makes his first discovery. Even though the bunnies in the desolate forest tried their hardest, none of them have any children. The bunnies in the fortress on the other hand do.
Basically the soil is not good for most plants and bunny’s can’t reproduce. After that discovery he takes half of those bunnies and puts them into a new den in his fortress. If they reproduce next year it is just regional. And if they don’t he has to worry.
New questions arise. Are the bunnies the only ones that can’t reproduce? He tried several plants and all reacted the same. But he can’t just put a pack of wolfs into a den. And what about the bugs? They seem to be reproducing happily.
The next year is busy, calm and nothing much happens. In the following spring he makes a pleasing discovery. The bunnies that are taken outside of the forest are having children.
This discovery encourages him to start searching through the desolate forest. SO far he doesn’t know much.
1. Insects are fine with that region.
2. The type of tree in the white stone region and the type of tree in the flat desolate region are fine with that region.
3. Animals can’t reproduce in there and don’t find much food.
4. Most plants can’t deal with the dirt of the desolate region.
5. The forest is sucking up a lot of water.
That’s all.
