Chapter 10: Preparation for a new star

Chapter 10: Preparation for a new star

Now he finally has time to think. He connects the stray stars and releases that connection again. Then he connects them in a different form.

After many trials and errors he ends up with two that stand above the rest. One is called Human-heaven-earth and the other is called the twelve zodiac symbols. Both seem extremely powerful but in an entirely different way.

The human-heaven-earth seems to focus on the understanding of the world.

The twelve zodiac symbols seem to focus more on power and flexibility.

And both can not be build in a perfect balance. Both have exactly one star too many for the perfect balance. And this lowers the overall power quite a bit. At least that is the prediction of Lie Mo. After all in live the balance of things is what makes it strongest. Fire and water, death and live, light and darkness, good and evil. If there is no balance then it is weak and chaotic.

Which of the two does Lie Mo want? The human-heaven-earth seems more powerful in the long run. But the twelve zodiac symbols have a mysterious power in them.

And which star sign is suited best for the additional star. Human? Heaven? Tiger? Dragon? Monkey?

After a long while of pondering and indecisiveness he has an enlightenment.

It can’t be that simple. One star has a different function. That’s why both of the most powerful constellations have one star too many.

After that enlightenment he starts looking at each star very closely. He notices that he used the wrong stars for each of the symbols. Each star has certain characteristics that fit better to different symbols. Now the head and torso form the human, the arms form the heaven and the legs form the earth. And the zodiac symbols are also shifted around. The snake takes up almost the entire right arm. The rat is in the head area and so on.

Each symbol has an equal amount of stars.

And both have one star that doesn’t fit into any of the symbols.

This star is right in the center.

Right at the place where the energy was gathering.

This star is here to connect the symbols together and to connect it to the 144 other stars.

Now there is only one question left. Which star alignment should Lie Mo choose?

Is he a person who solidly stands on the ground reaching for heaven or is he someone who changes his fighting methods in each and every fight?

Is he proud and stands solid on the battlefield or is he choosing his battles?

Is he someone who learns until he conquers the world or is he relying on instincts to move forward?

After reflecting over his entire live he finally chooses the zodiac signs.

For forming this star, he leaves the desolate region. He leaves it completely. Even at the risk of getting attacked by a beast or a beast tide. To prevent that to some degree he climbs on top of a difficult to access hill quite a distance away from the valley.

And then he lets loose.
