Nia laid there unconscious on the sandstone. A cold breeze swept the air. Creatures hiding in the shadows began to appear. Maggots and scorpions crawled out towards the unaware dragon. An easy kill for them. Eyes stared at the fallen dragon from the darkness. As the monsters came closer, the green blade began to shake. The creatures stopped in their tracks. As soon as the blade stopped shaking, one of the creatures came forward. It had horns where it's eyes would be. The head of an ox with the body of a spider. It jumped at Nia with a loud screech and as soon as it came near, a large wooden spike broke out from underneath the stone and impaled the creature amidst the air. Nia was still alive, but not in control. The creatures took a step back warily and after a couple of seconds of the impaled creature's dying screeches, a horde of coffins began to flail their tentacles towards her. As the tentacles approached, more pikes of wood grew from underneath the ground around Nia. The green blade shook further trying to protect her, but the other creatures didn't know what was happening. Within seconds of silences, hundreds of vines sprung up at the monsters. The shadowy monsters that fought back were strangled by the vines and impaled with bark. Others fled back into the shadows. The remaining coffins tried to fight to no avail. Each one crushed and destroyed. Reduced to rubble by the attacking vines. And in the middle of the horde of tentacle-like vines was her. Nia unconscious and unable to do anything. The green blade shook once more and a gentle bush covered Nia keeping her warm from the sudden cold air, while the blade began to sink into the dirt. Vines covered every single part of the room, while the creatures hid away and escaped the carnage. Fate was not finished with this young woman. It had other plans.

As Nia awoke, she slowly got up while rubbing her neck. As she looked forward, the portal was nowhere to be seen.
"Where is it?" she asked herself, "It can't be gone."
Nia began to scratch at the dirt and look around in a panic. There was no sign of the rip in space, anywhere. As if it just disappeared.
"That was meant to be my second chance at life. It's gone. That... dragon took my life away, again."
She wanted to become angry, but needed to control it. Nia saw the whole room surrounded in vines, and had no idea what had happened. How long was she out, she wondered.
Within a second, a flicker appeared. The red blade burning brightly nearby. Nia walked towards it and grabbed it. She looked deep into the red flames trying to figure out what happened. She didn't know why she was even alive, but knew that she would find no answer.
The green dragon spread out her wings and tail, held her red sword tightly while still being lit, and flew upwards towards the exit. As she got out of the temple, she began to slowly walk away. There was no sign of the silver merchant. The night sky was the only company she had. The stars shined brightly as her world began to collapse. There was nothing left for her to do.
Nia slowly walked away from the temple. Each step she held back all of her emotions. She didn't want to feel angry due to the chance of going berserk again. And she held back tears as to not overwhelm herself. The flame of the red blade went out as she sheathed it. She flew away from the temple and among the clear night skies.
