Lucas Nicolas was to be summarized, average. He was born from an average family, had an average childhood, went to average schools and had the average ambition of being robot engineer.
He fell in love with a girl who had cute looks and just like him, average among average. Their love affair was average for young couples who started dating at the age of 13.
Now a high-schooler, Lucas was living his life as normal as it could get. Without participating in any events that were out of this world or gaining qualities that were abnormal, he was living this average life normally.
But this normal life was about to crumble at this very moment.
"Why?"
Lucas asks with a weakened voice filled with defeat.
"Why break up with me...? I thought we were something special!"
"Sorry, Lucas. But it's not special at all. Not anymore."
A cute girl replied with sorry eyes as she look at the boy becoming more crestfallen. The girl continues.
"At the beginning I really did like you, Lucas. That's why I decided to date you. But I realize your love for me was nothing special because you're just as kind to others as you were to me. I mean, for crying out loud, I'm your girlfriend. But you just treat me like any other girl. I can't stand it so let's break up."
"And how is that my fault anyway?!"
Frustrated, the boy shouted.
"If you wanted to be treated like a queen, just asks me. I'll give you everything!"
"It's too late for that, Lucas. I don't want to be together with you anymore. We're done."
After her piece, she fished out from her pocket a silver necklace and handed it over to the boy.
The boy recognized that necklace. It was the gift he bought for her after their first date. And it was memorable event for him out of all the average events he had experienced.
The boy looked at he girl and stared deeply into her eyes. And all he saw was not the proud, shining eyes filled with trust in him, but the sorry eyes filled with guilt.
He couldn't feel the familiar love exclusive to him anymore. And it broke his heart to the point that he couldn't feel it beat.
Finally giving up, Lucas accepted ending their relationship.
"Fine. We're done. Our relationship is over."
He said, but his eyes suddenly glared with anger the next moment as he looked at the other boy next to the girl.
"But what the hell is this guy doing here?"
"Ah, that's the thing, Lucas."
Said the girl as she hugged the arm of the boy by her side with a smile. And Lucas's eyes became wide.
"Me and him are dating now."
"...What?"
After giving a blank, silent stare as if he couldn't comprehend what was happening, Lucas turn to the girl.
"The heck are you saying?"
"Do you really need us to dumb it down for you, idiot?"
Said the boy as he liked his tongue at Lucas. Then proceeds to embrace the girl with his arm. And explained the situation quite proudly.
"It means she love me now."
"Lucas, I really hope you understand."
Said the girl in turn as she faced Lucas with an apologetic smile.
"When?"
Lucas couldn't help but ask such a dumbfounded question. And the girl replied.

"It was back in the first day fo highschool. He started making friends with you just to get close to me. At first, I knew what his motives were so I kept ignoring him. But because he was so persistent, I eventually gave him a chance to go on a date with me."
Up to here, the boy suddenly interrupted the explanation as he grab the girl's chin and locked his lips with hers. Right in front of Lucas's face.
"Turns out, she's such a good kisser."
Commented the boy with a teasing smirk.
"Geez, not in front of him, darling."
Said the girl pushing him away with a shy, reddened, but happy face.
At this very moment, Lucas's heart broke to the point where there was nothing left inside him to call feelings. As if his consciousness was trying to spare him from going insane, it abandon all emotions related to empathy as only a cold, dark place replaces the spot inside him that was once called a heart.
"So, that's the gist of it, Lucas. I hope you can forgive me."
"Forgive you?"
Lucas's voice went cold as he stared at he duo with a blank stare filled with apathy.
"I don't think I can forgive you. I gave you the love the only way I know how and yet you threw it all away without even bothering to talk to me about it. What's more, out of all the guys in school, you just had to pick this asshole to replace me? You're pulling my leg here, woman."
Lucas didn't bother to call her with her own name anymore. Because all he saw an ungrateful bag of flesh that could speak human words.
"The hell did you just call me, huh?"
Not letting that comment slide, the other boy glared and approached Lucas menacingly.
"I called you an ass, asshole."
Said Lucas without fear in his voice.
"What? You've gone deaf too? Or do I have to dumb it down for you?"
"Ho? look at little Lucas getting all scary."
The boy spoke sarcastically, dismissing the growing threat from Lucas.
"What? You think I just because I feel sorry for you means I won't beat your sorry ass?"
"No, dipshit. I didn't think about that at all."
Replied Lucas as his eyes grew colder.
"I think I made a mistake. If I've known you would grow up to be this disgusting disgrace of a person, I should've beaten your ass back in middle school to put you in your place. Trash like you shouldn't be talking to me, you know?"
"You? Back in middle school? Hah!"
The boy spat at Lucas with a dismissive tone.
"Back in middle school, you were nothing but a loser who was too nice to others. You were such an easy target to bully. If it weren't for me taking care fo you, those guys in the upper-class would've bullied you instead!"
"I knew."
Said Lucas.
"And I clearly didn't need you back then. If it was just those upper-class delinquents, then I had enough connections with the local gang to take care of them. To tell the truth, they were the easy targets, just like you. The only reason I let you bully me because getting in trouble in school is the last thing I wanna do. And you know what? Maybe it's about goddamn time you realize just how much of a trash you are."
"You! Bastard! You're really asking for it, huh?!"
The boy glared with a contorted look of rage. Not buying Lucas's so try as he dismissed it as his bluff. But Lucas's visage remains blank as his repressed desires took hold of him.
And he desired nothing more than to correct this humiliation.
"Go ahead. Do it. Punch me."
Lucas taunts.
"Let's test that theory out. About how I could easily have beaten you black and blue any day. Just punch me and you'll regret the day you did it for the rest of your life."
"Oh, yeah. Then hold still, bitch."
Just as the boy was about to launch his clenched fist at Lucas's face, they were interrupted by the girl who couldn't remain a bystander anymore.
"Geez, you two, stop it already."
As soon as she said that going in between the two boys, the boy who lost his cool, clicked his tongue arrogantly. And then, the girl turned to Lucas and berated him.
"Lucas, I know you're really mad that I broke up with you, but you don't have to be so mean to him. He's not such a bad guy at all. And like he said, if it weren't for him, you're life in middle school wouldn't have been so peaceful getting targeted by upperclassmen. That just shows he's sincere in his own way. Why don't you apologize and let bygones be bygones, okay?"
"Woman, you're one to talk."
Lucas spat a derisive tone at the girl.
"Sincere? If he's sincere, then I'm a fucking saint. Jesus christ, girl. Define 'Sincere' using the english dictionary. I don't need that vague feeling of interpretation describing what I had to deal with from this son of a bitch. And especially not from you. Your sincerity sucks by the way. And don't think you could blame this failure of a relationship on me. I didn't ask anything over the top from you as far as I can remember."
"See?! This is why I can't stand you. You said that you were proud to be my boyfriend but deep down, you think nothing of me at all! Darling was right about you. You really are trash."
"And you are so stupid to think a low graded piece of shit like him thinks he can judge my worth as a person. I guess that just goes to show that trash like gets attracted to trash like him."
"That's it! you asked for it!"
Running out of patience, the boy threw fist aiming for Lucas's face. But with an unperturbed look, Lucas blocks the fist with his arm and threw a right hook at the boy's face.
A smacking sound could be heard as the boy stepped back with his vision disoriented. As soon as the boy regained himself, he saw with his disbelieving eyes Lucas smirking.
"You bastard! Take this!"
"You're wide open!"
As the boy charges at Lucas, Lucas launched a swift quick at the boy, causing him to lose balance. Then, Lucas grabs the boys collar and lifts his body with a forward momentum. Launching his body to the third floor window nearby.
Loud shattering of glass echoes as Lucas threw the boy out the window.
"Wha?! Wait! Waaa!"
The boy screamed as he felt the gravity pulling him down fast to his doom. As his final moments flash before his eyes, Lucas stretched out and grabbed the boy's arm.
"AAAAH! Someone help me!"
The boy still screams at the top of his lungs. Gaining the attention of the masses from every angle. They all gasp in horror as they watch someone hanging by the window 50 meters high from the ground. And the only one who can save him was the boy grabbing his arm with a half-hearted look.
"Lucas, no! please don't let him go!"
Realizing what Lucas was doing, the girl pleaded to him. The boy realizing now he under Lucas's mercy also stops screaming and pleaded as well.
"Please, man. I'm sorry I was such a jerk. Please don't let me go! I'm begging you!"
Lucas however, hardly cared for there pleas as he grabbed the girl's hands and pulls her to hold the boy's arm and he slipped out between them. Now the situation changed as the girl was the one grabbing unto the boy's life.
"Now, girl. If you really do love him, don't let him go, okay?"
Whispered Lucas to the girl's ear. And the girl shouts at him.
"Lucas, please help me! he's too heavy!"
"Don't let me go! please don't let me go!"
"Stop struggling! Our arm is about to slip off!"
"No! I don't want to die!"
Under the pressure, both the boy and girl desperately used all the strength they can muster to pull themselves out of this situation. But with the boy pathetically panicking and the girl possessing no strength to lift a person up, it was only a matter of time before the boy falls to his death.
Meanwhile, Lucas...
"I'll go look for teachers and see of they could help."
Said Lucas with a pleasant voice as if none of this was any of his problem. And took off with light steps.
'Wait, Lucas! Where are you going?! Comeback!"
Screamed the girl. But Lucas's ears never heard it.
Passing by the rescuing teachers who were running to the third floor, Lucas made his way to the school's ground floor. In the shoe locker room, he took out his shoes and replaced them with school shoes he wore.
He then passes by the student masses gathering to look at the terror at the third floor occurring and slowly made his way to the school gate.
Lucas didn't want to be here anymore. He wanted to go somewhere else where he could cope with this desolation inside him. But where else can he find closure? Who can he consult this terrible feelings to? How can he be helped if he were to disclose this?
Lucas didn't want anything to do with his ex girlfriend or that bastard anymore. If it was legal, he would've killed them both. But that was frowned upon in this country. That was why as his half-assed revenge, he left them to struggle on their own as the kindness they've killed abandons them.
Wil they learn their lesson? Lucas didn't care. For now, he just wanted to get out of here.
"You there! Stop."
Someone shouted, and a teacher of the school walks to Lucas and asks.
"You must be Lucas Nicolas right? Come with me to the teacher's faculty. We want to know what happened at the third floor. Hey, stop!"
As soon as Lucas realize what they were after, he took off with a sprint heading straight to the school gate.
He didn't want to involve himself in the mess he created. It was the first time he felt irresponsible for his actions but even so, he rather die than confront his own ugliness.
