[According to my calculations, I'll be knocked unconscious by the time I impact the ocean. Estimated reboot time will be fifteen minutes. If you need anything from me, hold it off for later.]
"I'm good for now. What about you Nick?"
(I think I need a break.)
[Alright, that settles it. Good luck, gu-.]
And Luke's voice cuts here as if something dangerous had interrupted him. Indicating so that Luke's shuttle had crashed and knocked him out. Causing both Lucas and Nick to fail feeling any share experience from him.
"Alright, that's it for Luke. How about you, Nick? You good over there?"
(Yeah, it's seems like the guys over here will let us rest for now. I need some shut eye. What about you?)
"Apparently I don't need to sleep."
(What?)
"The benefits of being a Demon Lord, dude. I don't need to sleep, eat or breath for whatever illogical reason. All I need is some mana in the air and I'll live forever."
(What kinda immortal bullshit is that?! Whatever. I'm going to sleep.)
"Nighty night."
And soon enough, Lucas couldn't feel Nick's shared experience, too.
Now left all alone, Lucas took a good hard look at his surroundings. Currently it was late night and the moon shone bright. And all he saw, aside from the floating screens and mana floating by around him, was the ruinous state of a throne room.
The roof had long disappeared and the moon light bathes the rubbles and debris. Everything was either made of marble or smooth stone, now only damages remain. Indicating that it had once been a battleground between calamities.
"What a mess. It's like force 6 hurricane and earthquake waltz in and out here."
Lucas commented with his head shaking in disbelief. Gathering his strength and resolve, he stood up from the throne.
"In any case, it's a bad idea to stay here. Might as well look around and see a more comfortable place to settle."
Lucas treads bravely into the ruins. And the more he looked around, the more he could recognize the architecture of this place.
The place was designed like a medieval European castle. Only the materials were a bit more expensive and the construction was a bit more advance. Evidence of that was the smooth marble floor that stretches beneath his feet and the concrete walls with steel bars inside them acting like support structure.
Lucas explored not minding the dark and sensed no life around. Not a person was making a sound. Not even a rat was around.
Lucas ended in a room which seemed to be a library, but all the books in the shelves were either gone or destroyed. Nothing of value was around so he moved on.
Lucas found himself in a laboratory, and there was just as much destruction inside here just like the library.
He moved on to another place and landed himself in the castles dining hall. And nothing was here. Even the wares used for dining were destroyed.
Lucas went to the kitchen, winery basement, parlor rooms, the entrance halls, bathrooms, gardens, storage rooms, dungeons, and bedrooms. And found not a soul in this haunted castle.
"There's gotta be an easier way to find something."
Lucas scowls as he felt slightly exhausted. He looked out the window and gained a vantage view from the spire he had climbed. He could see far out and what he saw was more ruins and no one else.
Its as if this place was some kind of European version of the ancient Egyptian city.
However, aside from finding nothing, Lucas did occasionally found himself in places filled with mana. In fact, it was everywhere. Or to be more exact, it was dense the higher you are in altitude. And on the ground level, it as fairly light.
Then suddenly, Lucas had an idea in mind.
"Can't I use magic to increase my scope of search?"
Lucas didn't know for sure, but he did feel instinctively like he could do it if he tried. Lucas then searches in himself to find the answer.
"If I recall correctly the only magic related skills I have are MANA CONTROL, which allows me to control and comprehend the nature of the mana in me. I have ENDLESS MAGIC DEVELOPMENT: SPACE ATTRIBUTE, which allows me to develop space-attributed spells limitlessly and draw out the full potential in the mysterious nature of space-time. And I also have DEMON SUMMONING: ATHENIAN RACE, that allows me to summon and command an Athenian Demon in exchange for human bodies and souls."
Lucas then draws to a conclusion.
"DEMON SUMMONING is out. So what I will be focusing on is ENDLESS MAGIC DEVELOPMENT and MANA CONTROL. Let's start with MANA CONTROL."

Using the skill DEMONOLOGY, which granted Lucas a fair bit of magical knowledge and technique, he was able to discern the mana inside him flowing as if pressurized air.
And to control mana, it was quite complex. But to give a simple image, it was like trying to wheeze out the air inside a balloon and use that air to control the air outside to from a spell and therefore, induce magical phenomenon.
Strong mental image, concentration, will power, and mana where all needed to master mana control and conjure even the most simplest of spells.
"Is this how I do it?"
But like a cheat character, Lucas manages to master mana control in a minute and now he was gushing out mana all over his body.
If one were to look at Lucas now, they would only see a figure surrounded with a bluish aura gushing like a geyser reaching as high as a small mountain. It was an unbelievable amount of mana coming from one individual. So much so that if a royal court wizard were to see Lucas right now, his jaw would drop quite comically.
Lucas knew he had a monstrous amount of mana in him. It was one of the benefits of being Demon Lord according to the skill DEMONOLOGY. But having a lot of mana won't do him any good unless he could use it for magic. So, Lucas then focuses his attention on using the skill ENDLESS DEVELOPMENT: SPACE ATTRIBUTE.
Space was physically everywhere. Or so to say, it has away been around. Whatever the scale of the volume an object occupies, there will always be space in or out of it. Whether it be the distance between two objects or gaps as small as a planck. Space is there, virtually empty yet filled to the brim with quantum mechanism.
Yet space, was by its own, just a form of place. And the only apparent function about it is that it allows anything with mass to occupy it. And by conclusion, space has everything. And therefore.
"Whoever controls space, controls the world?"
Lucas came to a frightening conclusion.
"Let's set aside world control later. How about I extend my senses to further scopes."
Lucas already had an idea of how he could widen his search range. By extending his five senses out using his own mana controlling the mana outside with a program or spell using space attribute, he could technically acquire some form of 3D scanning radar, sonar and presence detection magical perception.
Lucas's mana that gushes out weaves seamlessly a spell that supports his senses and cognition, the mana outside reacted and converted into space-attributed mana that extend outwards with him at the center, stretching fast and far as a kilometer. Shortly it reached 3 kilometers. Only to end up stopping at 5 kilometers. And Lucas could perceive it all.
Lucas could see everything within 5 kilometers, 360 degrees without training his head and nothing blocking his view. He could hear noises his ears shouldn't be hearing due to the long distance. He could hear the wind blowing and the leaves swaying with a rustle. And feel the ground far away as if he was standing there already.
"Needs some fine tuning but I'm sure Luke can help me with that."
Satisfied with his new spell, Lucas decides to ignore the faulty issues later like the spells excessive mana consumption and starts extending his search perimeters.
He walked further up north and scanned the ruinous town long abandoned of life. He then turned east and saw the same nothingness. Same with the south. And same to west...
"Hmm?"
Lucas detected several presence at west side of the town. But it's far away he would need to talk for a long time to get there.
"Can't I just teleport there?"
Lucas pondered on the possibility. But he intuitively felt it wasn't feasible as he had no strong image of what teleport was like. And it would be dangerous to force such attempts.
Lucas opted for speed instead. But when he thought of the fastest thing ever made, the bullet train, with the speed reaching 267 km/h, he couldn't wrap his head on how that could bring a strong mental image of speed with space-attribute magic.
"Now that I think about it, wasn't Luke also kinda fast? Reaching Earth in a matter of minutes as if space travel was walk in the park.
"He said something about space warping speed... Warp space to cover a large distance is it?"
Lucas had a profound look as he contemplate deeply about it. Eventually deciding on something, he stood in front of a road with no obstacles to west.
"Here goes nothing!"
Lucas's mana weaves into a spell and manipulates the mana ahead. The space before him suddenly churns as the road blurs from its details. Eventually he could see the road shrink in distance. And without hesitation, Lucas stepped forward.
It was like he was trying to pass through thick air. Where the air felt like a wall of water he needed to cross through, it was hard to breath.
After one step, Lucas then notices that he had just cross almost a kilometer.
"This spell rocks!"
Luca exclaims with excitement.
"Again!"
Lucas warps the space and steps forward. Again, he had crossed almost a kilometer. This next one, he tried to control the distance, and sure enough, he only crossed ten meters. Which was what he was aiming for.
If any qualified space mage were to see Lucas playing with this space attributed spell, their eyes would've popped out from their sockets from the pure shock.
What Lucas was doing was sort of like the Magic Spell: Blink that allows the user to teleport 10 meters away to dodge any attacks. Only the blink spell could only teleport the user to a random place and the limit was only 10 meters. Where as Lucas here could cover a distance of almost a kilometer in one step and even control the direction and distance.
It was more like Ground Shrink than the magic spell: Blink.
The only downside was it consumed so much mana in one go but for Lucas, being a Demon Lord, he still had plenty to spare.
"I'm almost there."
Lucas stopped using the magic spell as he stood close to his destination 40 meters away. Using his extended senses, he took a good scan of the situation there.
He could see 6 people gathering around a camp fire. 5 of them had rather menacing looks equipped with durable traveling clothes and armor. The other one was tied up with rope, unconscious and clearly bleeding from the forehead.
The 5 people had weapons ranging from maces, axes and blades while one of them was holding a pretty looking wooden staff with a bright red jewel on its tip.
The armed group snickered creepily. Discussing topics of their misconducts and exploits. They laugh as if enjoying such moments of evil. I listen closely to their conversations.
"How much do you think they'll give if we sell the noble's daughter as a sex slave, boss?"
"You idiot, we can't sell this girl to that brothel. It's too high profile and we'll get caught doing so. We need to sell her to the black market first anonymously and that'll be the end of it."
"Oh right. That's a good idea boss. You're always so smart."
"That's right. So just follow me and wine, women and wealth will be ours for the taking!"
"Hey boss, maybe after this, will go raid another village and rape some girls there?"
"You moron, there's another girl here right now!"
"Don't even think of touching her! Her price will go down if she's no longer a virgin."
"Got it, boss. Just calm down will ya?"
"Well... Maybe the mouth is fine. You boys can use that."
"Alright! Thanks boss!"
And so there conversation goes.
"Uwah..."
Utterly repulsive. Lucas felt disgusted just listening to them act so criminal. Watching these public offenders loiter nearby him brought him utmost worries and felt the difficulty handling them.
"I should stay away from them."
Lucas didn't feel like helping the girl tied up with them at all.
