I saw the skill and the sword broken into two, and soon after that little pain began to spread in my right arm due to the recoil of the slice.

"Where did you learn that technique?" Ranell asked me

"I don't know my body moves on its own," I answer honestly.

He becomes silent.

I can feel many gazes, but I cannot give a damn about them because I am scared. After all, Ranell is glaring at me.

After some minutes, he says, "This will be a lesson for you Kaian and also for everyone, do not use techniques meant to kill living things on anything else."

"That technique was made to be used against a human with a real sword to kill," Renall simply says.

"You all are dismissed for today. Come back tomorrow at the same time as today, but you will not be escorted and take your weapons with you," he says as he walks away.

It is almost noon by this time, at least I think it is.

'I think I am becoming crazy. I sense someone else seeing me. At least I got another skill,' I think.

"Kaian, let's go back," Hudson says.

"What will I take back? My weapon is no longer even alive," I say.

"Yeah, you still need to get a good skill," Luke says.

"Jake is too tired because his skill [Shadow Slash] costs 300 mana points. He has only 400 mana points left," Luke says.

As we make small talk, two knights come, the ones that came first.

"Heroes, we will now take you to the final session of the day, just a general knowledge session."

"We have to study here?" Jake says wide-eyed.

"In it, you will just be given access to the library. It is just for 10 minutes," one of the knights replies.

We walk for 2 minutes and get to the library, and an old lady is waiting for us at the entrance.

The librarian is an old lady, I think almost the same age as Ranell.

"Welcome, my name is Agatha, and I am in charge of this library. Here are your cards; you just need to show these to the people at the entrance before going in and before going out," she says and gives us a lightweight metal card and leaves.

'At least I will be able to learn how to write and pass time by reading something,' I think.

"Heroes, you have to follow the same schedule as today. You can order anything you want after ringing the bell in your room."

"Alright, now then it is over. Let's get something to eat. Who's coming with me?" Jake says.

Hudson and Luke join him.

"I will be in the library till night to study about this world a little," I say.

"Alright, Kaian, good luck!" they say and leave.

"I seem to be alone in this library. All of the others have left," I think.

As I enter the library, it is full of shelves of books; that is the only thing that stands out.

"Excuse me, can I get some papers and something to write with?" I ask the receptionist.

"Yes, sure. Please wait a minute," the receptionist says and hands me some papers and what looks like a pen.

"Thank you," I say and walk towards the bookshelves.

"I currently need to learn more about the language, culture, system, and also the norms of this world," I think as I look for books.

For several minutes, I look at the bookshelves and decide on completing 3 books.

One is about the currency system "The Wealth of Worlds: Exploring the Currency Systems" written by Kiera T. Sterling.

The second is about the culture and norms "Exploring Culture of Kazamor: A Comprehensive Study of Its Norms, Customs and Society" by Vorlax Xanthia

And the final third is "System: A comprehensive study" by Lila Stone

As I sit and read through them, it takes me almost 5 hours to complete them. I learn about the currency system, some norms which seem basically feudalism, and also how to write it but only very basic things and about parts of the system.

I also take notes of it. The currency system is also complicated.

1 Gronk = 5 slogs

1 duggle = 10 gronks

1 croms = 17 duggles

The system class gives us more chances of getting skills and gives access to the class tree.

As an example, someone of class assassin gets the class tree Poison-user and Stealth which gives buffs and new skills to the host.

Titles also give us buffs or debuffs to opponents and also new skills.

A class can be chosen and gives us buffs class trees, skills, and buffs.

Skills are just passive and actives those are all the main parts of the system.

"Ouff! I am tired after now gonna eat and sleep" I say as I get up.

I keep the books back on the shelves they were on and leave.

I suddenly get a notification

[Intelligence stat has been increased by 1]

'Huh?! must be because of studying' I think as I shrug off the notification and go to Hudson's room.

"Bring more of this" I hear Jake

As I enter the room, I find the trio once again together and this time eating together. They are ordering one dish after another from the two maids that are present there in Hudson's room.

I have noticed now but his room is larger than compared to mine and has a polished and clean wood floor with a larger bed.

'Hmm they seem to be getting preferable treatment' I think

Hudson is not ordering much and is eating his share with etiquette unlike the other two who are stuffing themselves.

He is usually a reserved person who is good at making friends and with talk stuff.

"Oh hey, Kaian comes to eat with us the food here is delicious!"Jake says with pauses only glancing at me.

"Alright, I am hungry as well, so I will gladly accept it today," I say as I put my papers on top of the desk and sit on the chair.

It is a huge table bigger than a table of four people would need and has 4 chairs which are currently occupied by the four of us.

"Excuse me, can I get something vegetarian and something sweet to drink, please?" I ask a black-haired maid.

And she ignores me and is asking Jake questions.

"Excuse me?"

And she once again ignores me...

'Now that was seriously rude' I think with anger starting to rise inside me.

I try to ask the other maid, but she still ignores me because she is too 'focused' on the conversation with the black-haired maid.

"Hey, excuse but he has been trying to ask you something, can you please listen to him?" Jake asks.

"Of course, Sir hero," She replies politely to him and finally takes my order and leaves to get it.

After some time, she comes and gets me a salad and a sweet yellow drink.

'I am not a guy that eats salad and something is better than nothing' I think as I start to get.

Soon it is over it is not much.

Then when I drink the yellow drink.

It is very sweet and tasty.

I notice that the conversation between the maid and Jake has become awkward, so almost everything is silent.

"Hey, Kaian, do you want anything else to eat? You can get some from my share," Luke offers.

"No, I am full. I normally do not eat much, as you know," I reply.

"Yeah, I know, but you did not eat anything like us since morning," he says.

And soon after, when everyone is done eating, the maids use some kind of magic and store the table, chairs, and cutlery.

"Guys, I made some notes on what you should know to take these and at least learn them, especially you, Jake," I say to all of them.

Hudson and Luke agree, but as always, Jake complains about studies.

"Why should we even learn here?"

"This will help you, and more than half of it is about the system," I reply, and listening to this, he also agrees.

"There is only one copy, so share it and study it before sleeping. I will be off," I say and immediately leave.

'Wait, someone is watching me again,' I think.

As I leave the room, I once again leave a gaze watching me, but this time I can tell it is the same gaze that had watched me in the morning. I do not know why it is even happening.

I run at full speed towards my door and enter my room.

'This world is just too weird. What is even happening?'

'What is that?' I think as I take the piece of paper and read it as i sit on my bed.

I get up and run as fast as possible towards the training ground.
