1st POV

We were taking a stop on the riverside in the plains for now.

Everything seemed to calm down as the knights reassured us that this was common here.

We were served a loaf of bread and were inside the carriage which was being guarded by knights.

"These things are too much of a cliche the summoning, magic weapons, being a hero and now a bandit attack," Luke said breaking the silence.

"So what do you think is going to happen according to your useless knowledge?" Hudson asked with a doubtful voice.

"Just not take it to be real we might encounter something powerful and one or more of us may die at least that's what I know," Luke said

"Seriously this is not gonna happen this is the real world stop making us worry more," I said

"Alright alright but just we should be together just in case" Luke replies

"Okay" Hudson replies and we drift off to sleep in silence actually only the two of them I was busy talking to Valerius.

"You guys are lucky that you survive I sensed two people with incredible magical powers there," Valerius said

'What? two people would not be able to kill 50 people right? Or is it because of magic?' I asked

"So let me tell you something thousands of years ago there was a man that fought against an army and massacred every last one of the soldiers, there was a man who could kill the gods, there were women who could move islands and destroy cities and there was a man who conquered everything... every realm and every race that you can think of so basically nothing is impossible to remember that so I do not need to remind you again and again," Valerius said.

Listening to these words I was mesmerized thinking of these people.

'Maybe I can reach their level someday- wait? Valerius? did you just say someone who conquered all the realms? how was he able to do it travel to other realms? arent they different worlds?'

"So you are in a long lecture my friend," Velarius says

"That man had spatial affinity so he was able to travel to other realms or just open gates, though you have the potential I don't think you could reach that level and the answer to your last question is realms are a part of this world and also not you are not going to understand currently just do not worry because I am here and sleep," Velariis said.

'Okay,' I reply as drowned in my sleep.

It's been a day since we finally reached the city.

It's completely different from the capital or even a normal city.

As we reached the city the road had cracks in it and the surrounding were filled with soldiers the walls had hundreds of cannons mounted on them.

We were directly led through the massive gates and what I saw next shocked me.

many people were injured, and some people seemed to be protesting but I could not hear them the city was filled with knights and people who looked like mercenaries.

We travelled through the roads towards the centre of the city.

It became more normal as we moved towards the centre people roaming the streets with not many soldiers or protesters.

Soon we stopped before the gates of a mansion.

An old man with a straight posture was waiting for us he was wearing. He had a weathered face with deep wrinkles etched into his skin though when you looked at him to did not seem old. He had piercing blue eyes, and he had white hair, was it a natural colour or from being old, I don't know and he had a thick grey beard. He stood tall and proud, with broad shoulders and a muscular build, wearing a white suit like a butler.

The knights opened the door and we three came out of the carriage because, for the first time in many days, we could get out of that hellish carriage get some fresh air and be able to move around.

"Welcome to the city of Vaeloria, I am Duke Emeric Stormwind, We can discuss the unpleasant things tomorrow you can rest for now," He said and left.

We were led into the mansion by maids and we got the same room in the same group as we had in the carriage.

The maids served us food mainly bread and mayonnaise?

The rooms were big bigger than my room with three separate beds.

As we lay down in the darkness we talked.

"Guys, what do you think? we are going to fight tomorrow" Hudson says

"Don't worry they will probably just prepare us tomorrow we have one day to get ourselves ready" I try to reassure them.

"Yeah it will be fun I think I am excited," Luke says

"Yeah let's see what happens," I sayAnd we were soon all asleep including me as I forget to talk to Valerius.

3rd Person

As normal people and the heroes were drifting off to sleep a duo was near the city they were none other than Octavian and Linden.

"We finally made it thank god I had marked the carriages," Octavian says.

"Yeah we can get our bounty from here as well," Linden says

Soon they both vanish and appear inside the city.

"Now we get an inn I saved some money for the inn and food," Linden says

"Alright, I am tired let's go, "Octavian says and he rushes to the nearest inn while hiding from the patrolling soldiers.

"Why are they patrolling so much their so-called demons do not have intelligence," Octavian says

"Yes I don't even understand this move they could do this to prevent spies but duke Emeric could make out any spies maybe some internal strife," Linden says

"Yeah, let's sleep peacefully for once," Octavians says as he enters the inn with a clock hiding his face with Linden doing the same.
