James awoke to all-encompassing darkness, not his cozy office, not his annoying alarm clock, and not to his assistant waking him up after he fell asleep in his office. It took him a moment to realize and panic quickly welled up inside him, he began to recall his last moments trying to place together how he reached here but no matter how hard he tried to recall it slipped away from him as he was close to concluding, frustration quickly overcame his panic as he tried again and again.
The frustrated James failed to notice the subtle pull on his form and the small point that opened in the darkness, then everything changed, the world rippled and James felt himself being violently pulled and stretched in mindbending ways, the pain was otherworldly.

He was being stretched and compressed into the impossibly small point simultaneously, James tried to scream, he tried to claw his way out but a soul had no hands to crawl, no feet to walk, and certainly no mouth to speak, it was a horrifying realization and it amplified the pain James was experiencing more as his already heightened emotions spiked.
After what felt like forever James felt his perspective abruptly shift and the excruciating pain he felt slowly faded away, he caught glimpses of bright gold text hovering above his vision and a strange blue alien landscape before fatigue overwelled his soul and he drifted off into sleep.
