The notification didn't even register to Willams as pure rage and power coursed through his being, red slowly overtook his normal vision as his anger grew, the angry spirit felt it building, reaching for something, he knew this wasn't normal anger, he felt it flood out from the center of his being along with something he couldn't quite identify, it rocketed through him and filled every part of him, then he felt it build and push against his being madly, strangely, he didn't feel any pain, just building pressure that grew by the second. Just as the torrent of anger was about to burst out of him something flowed over it and coated it in the blink of an eye.
Seconds later, his entire being burst into red-hot flames that lurched out greedily at the motes surrounding him, Willams staggered backward and fell, the sudden combustion of himself made it difficult to stand up and the power coupled with the uncontrollable anger that coursed through him made it no easier, he felt the heat and something else in those flames but it didn't burn him as he expected it would, instead, it flooded his being with raw and burning power.
As the fire burned brighter the power he felt flowing through him multiplied, and his anger slowly gave way to extreme pleasure, fixated, he watched as the flames greedily reached out for the motes it didn't already burn and drained something from them to fuel itself, the spectacle didn't last long however as the flames abruptly vanished along with the feeling of pleasure that was flooding him.
The sudden change left Willams feeling empty and weak, his thoughts felt sluggish and incoherent, he shook his head, and tried to get up only to lose his balance and fell straight on his face, his head impacted the ground with a soft thud that shifted some of the motes that gave him the feeling of stillness, moments later, a notification flashed before him.

Willams felt a cool sensation wash over his body and seep into his soul, the weakness subsided a little and he felt his thoughts clear up, they no longer felt sluggish and incoherent and clarity returned to him. Willams began shuffling through all his memories up until this point with a clear head for the first time since he got here and the conclusions no longer shocked him that much, he was murdered, presumably by some God-like entity for whatever reason, had his soul ripped open and violated on the deepest levels possible.
A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
He shuddered as he remembered the incomprehensible pain he felt during the process, he wasn't sure how he was sane at all but he was, at least he thought so, then to top it all off he was thrown into a trash can, the hero's inventory, for containment and monitoring.
Anger boiled within him once again and threatened to overwhelm him but this time, He had control, the absurdity and the sheer ridiculousness of it all made it hard for him to wrap his head around, at first he hoped it was a dream, part of him still did, and that part of him desperately wanted to believe that he'd wake up from this horrible nightmare to his cozy office and the annoying alarm clock on his desk.
He'd call his assistant and check in on- 'No, I won't go down that lane, it's real, very real, and I have to accept that, no matter how hard and absurd it may seem.' He was being delusional, and he knew it, the facts and evidence were there, and no amount of self-delusion would help him now.
He was in an entirely new reality that housed different laws of physics and possibilities, with a completely different body and soul, the only thing that belonged to him now was his memories. His modern mindset had to be adjusted or thrown out completely if this was the way things worked here, the system, the potential existence of God, or Gods, him spontaneously combusting with magical fire, and potentially many other things he didn't know yet.
It was all unknown, and it terrified him.

Good job on accepting your current reality and situation, Anomaly, took longer than I expected but well within the established parameters, as a reward for this I will be giving you a brief explanation of your status and stats. This is not a system feature and you will not be able to see what each stat does again. So, commit as much as you can to memory, it could save your life one day. Do not expect any more rewards from me, in the future, I'm only doing this to improve your chances of survival so more data can be collected regarding your anomalous nature.
Pull up your stats screen by thinking "stats" and focus on what you want me to explain, do not waste your time trying to ask questions as this is an automated message and will disappear once certain conditions are met.
I can hear you, though, but I won't answer. Take the time needed to process all of this, it is quite amusing.
Willams gazed at the notification, it floated there, bright and haughty, he read its contents, again and again, almost mechanically. He struggled to contain his raging thoughts and anger, he couldn't lose it now, that would mean more wasted time and no answers to his burning question although that thing behind the system said he should take his time, he wouldn't.
He didn't trust it nor did he want to entertain its inhumane tendencies, He had to be strong, and not give in despair as Willams was sure that was exactly what it wanted, he wouldn't give up, He would grow strong enough to get out, find it and inflict all the pain he felt on it for all of eternity, He would have his vengeance, one way or another, no matter what.
