“I’ve successfully splintered the River of Time. We all can take a look at whoever is daring enough to kill my descendants in front of me.“
Yu Sheng’s words were clear to everyone present. He wants everyone present to see the culprit responsible. This way, nobody can shirk responsibility in the future and cry foul play.
***********
Guo Wang did not know why his once deteriorating body had recovered. He was about to burn his cultivation realm to ensure he reached his destination safely, however, his body immediately started to recover itself.
Guo Wang thought that he was about to die and that the Prayer Bead had saved him, thus he did not think twice about the situation, not knowing that Yu Sheng had interfered to ensure that nothing will go wrong.
Soon enough, Guo Wang reached his destination. It was easy for Guo Wang to infiltrate the room that the cradle with baby Hao Ran in it.
Yu Sheng had used [Chronokinesis] to alter the alarm and killing array that was placed in Hao Ran’s room. He had created a function that allowed anyone who arrived from a different time period to be able to bypass any of the security settings in place.
The prayer bead that Guo Wang passively absorbs the time energy present in the world. Using whatever was remaining in the prayer bead, he materialized a dharma sword made from time energy, intending to use it to end Hao Ran’s life.
“BAI HAO RAN! YOU CAN ONLY BLAME YOURSELF FOR OFFENDING ME. I AM DESTINED FOR GREATNESS AND YOU HAD TO STAND IN FRONT OF ME!” The manic Guo Wang deranged-ly broke into laughter.
“WANG BING JI! ONCE I REACHED THE PEAK, I WILL DESTROY THE BAI AND WANG FAMILY AND TAKE YOU AS MY SLAVE! I SHALL RAVAGE YOU TILL YOU BEG FOR MERCY! I SWEAR THIS ON THE NAME OF THE XIA FAMILY’S ANCESTOR!”
The demented madman tried to use the sword to cut down on the defenceless Hao Ran’s neck but an unstoppable force sent him flying backwards.
“WHO IS IT?” Guo Wang growled. He was that close to completing his goal, but someone stopped him! Was it a past member of the Bai Family?
However, something even more shocking occurred. The room Guo Wang was standing in started to disintegrate. The walls of the room collapsed, and the roof opened up like the flaps of a box. The entire room opened up and all he could see was not outside the room, but a starry cosmic night.
The sound of sloshing and roaring loudly could be heard. Guo Wang realized that he was at the River of Time.
Guo Wang puked blood. The attack that came earlier had only now just started to kick in. Guo Wang did not understand how the world he was standing in was suddenly destroyed.
How could someone be strong enough to do such a feat?
At this moment, a figure appeared from the void and started to walk towards Guo Wang. One look at the figure and Guo Wang knew who it was immediately. Hao Ran!
Hao Ran was angry. He did not care about the words Guo Wang said about him, but was angered by the words he said about Bing Ji.
He had purposefully not watched the recordings of Guo Wang’s ramblings that were circulating around. Now that he had heard him say it in person, how could Hao Ran let it down? Wouldn’t he be letting himself and Bing Ji down?
The first ancestor had given him permission to kill Guo Wang. He thanked the First Ancestor from the bottom of his heart. He knew that the First Ancestor would be subsequently dealing with the Xia Family, so Hao Ran can have peace of mind killing Guo Wang.

Hao Ran was a loose immortal. Guo Wang was an Immortal Ascension Realm cultivator. There was nothing Guo Wang could do to stop Hao Ran.
Moreover, Guo Wang had completely emptied the prayer bead and could no longer call upon the time energy inside anymore. All he had left was the sword made from time energy he had just materialized.
Guo Wang spit out the blood in his mouth and charged at Hao Ran. His eyes were red with anger and no semblance of sanity could be seen in them. He had nothing in his head except to kill Hao Ran.
Hao Ran scoffed at Guo Wang’s futile attempt. To spit on Guo Wang’s resolve even further, Hao Ran did not use any techniques. All he used was his fists.
Hao Ran slammed his fists onto Guo Wang’s face, breaking his nose and disfiguring his face. Guo Wang was sent flying backwards, but Hao Ran did not stop just there.
While Guo Wang was still incoherent and flying across the sky, Hao Ran appeared in front of Guo Wang and punched his sternum down.
Guo Wang let out a cry as his body slammed heavily onto the ground. Hao Ran did not stop just there again.
Hao Ran kicked Guo Wang’s face. Again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again.
Guo Wang had his eyes red with anger, but Hao Ran was not any better either. Perhaps it was the memories that he had received. Hao Ran had learned what would have happened if he did not nip the buds in the roots.
Hao Ran had gone and gotten a bodyguard with an incredibly high cultivation base to destroy the prior enemies that he had “spared”. Was it shameless? Yes. But Hao Ran did not care. To protect his family, especially Bing Ji, he would now do whatever it takes.
Did his new memories cause him to become more emotional and caused him to not make the perfect decision every time? Hao Ran did not think so.
Hao Ran believed he had now become more human and was eternally grateful for his memories. He knew his previous actions were not kind to Bing Ji and learned to change his ways.
He learned to appreciate Bing Ji more and more, thus his anger exploded when he witnessed someone claiming that they would ravage Bing Ji.
This scene was of course witnessed by Hao Ran’s father, Hao Lin. A cultivator must always stay calm and make the best decision based on the situation they are in, but Hao Lin was not disappointed in his son’s actions, and neither was the Grand elders present.
Hao Ran may look childish and stupid in front of others, but to them, they were glad that Hao Ran had changed.
The secluded cultivation must have changed Hao Ran for the better. In the past, high expectations and constant assassination attempts on his life had caused Hao Ran to become indifferent to human emotions.
Now that he could finally express himself truthfully, Hao Ran would go even further in the path of cultivation. Severing one’s emotions may give you better strength, but cutting ties with friends and families would bite you back in the future.
You can never go against the entire world alone. Hao Ran’s path dictates that he would compete against the world inevitably.
Guo Wang’s face was beaten to a pulp. He was beyond recognition. His head had caved in and he was on the verge of death. No one dared to stop Hao Ran, even the factions that were friendly with the Xia family.
The Xia family had a lot of explaining to do for their involvement in the failed assassination of the Xia family. The Xia family had tried to escape previously but were trapped in an array created by the fourth ancestor of the Wang Family.
“sp..spare m…me..” Guo Wang could only leave a whimper. Hao Ran did not think twice before stomping on his face one last time, using his full power, ending this cockroach’s life once and for all.
Now that he was done killing the Xia family’s young master, it was time for his ancestor to deal with the Xia Family.
Hao Ran’s robes were stained with the blood of low life. He turned around to see Bing Ji staring at him with tears. She was not afraid of Hao Ran, nor was she upset. She was happy.
Bing Ji was so happy that Hao Ran had finally reciprocated her feelings after so much time. Arranged marriages were very prevalent in Big families, and almost of all these marriages would end up loveless.
She, however, loved Hao Ran greatly. It only recently did Hao Ran opened up his heart to her and allowed himself to love her. She was so happy in the past few weeks that she could at the moment, content with the time she spent with Hao Ran.
She ran up to Hao Ran, intending to hug him tightly.
Hao Ran was worried that he might dirty Bing Ji, so he pushed her away. However, Bing Ji looked aggrieved at his actions and pouted. She was on the verge of tears and jumped straight into his embrace, not caring that she was getting dirty.
This moment was captured by everyone present and their hearts softened. It was not often you see a couple formed by an arranged marriage love each other so well.
But they know that this was the calm before the storm. A large battle was brewing between the Xia family and the First Ancestor of the Bai family.
