A Monster part of the Dungeon

A Monster part of the Dungeon

"Becoming a monster hurts like hell" I think as a massage my neck to get ride of the aching pain that permanents it.

Not too long ago my head got separated from the rest of my body by a humanoid monster with two blades for arms and a bandaged head.

My death was fast and didn't hurt much, but after some time my remains got infected by the corruptions which all theses monsters are spreading through the world.

After my remains were completely corrupted the transformation began and my soul was brought back from wherever it went.

I awoke with a terrible pain in my neck and soon realized that the reason for it was that my head has reconnected itself to the rest of my body and is now healing the damage.

Apart from having my head back on my shoulders, I also have grown in size and tower now at a good 2,5 meters.

This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

My once pale skin has turned into greyish white and no longer seems to have any flesh beneath it.

Long fingers that end in sharp tips have taken over my once human hand and show no signs of nails.

As for my feet, well lets just say they aren't that different form my hands anymore.

I hesitantly move around my head to gauge the current situation around me only to flinch at the pain from my neck.

"Damn, why couldn't I be revived ´after´ I healed" I mumble in a harassed voice that no longer sounds human.

Having learned from my past mistake I no longer try to turn my neck and instead move my whole upper body so as to not aggravate the still healing wound.

My surroundings hasn't changed much, it is still the same place where I died and hid from the monsters.

´Well, I'm now part of the enemy team, so I should probably also start to hunt the remaining survivors right?´ A light hum escapes my mouth as I move my new legs in the direction of a hidden shelter which maybe still contains some of my previous companions.

Some might ask why I am so accepting of my current situation and didn't even hesitate to turn on the remaining survivors of humanity.

The answer is very simple.

After I became what I am now I gained access to lots of information, this includes the reason for the happenings of the past ten years
