I guess that Immortality wasn't a lie. Sapphire thought as she inspected herself
"Midnight wolf (Ambusher) (female), name: Sapphire, level 6. HP: 0/3630."
How does that even work?
"Midnight wolf (Ambusher) (female), name: Sapphire, level 6. HP: 2530/3630."
Best not to think too hard.
"Fire Dragon (female), name: Blister, level 47, HP: 2146/21380."
Sapphire's perception alerted her of the incoming danger and she jumped into the air. Just as she did a fire breath tore through the trees, igniting and charring them. Sapphire landed back on the ground, that turned from green to charred black due to the attack.
The fire dragon glared at her from not too far away, charging another breath attack and letting it loose, not wanting to give Sapphire any time to react. Sapphire swung her katana in an upwards arc, performing a Shadow Slash, and slicing the breath attack in half. The slash then hit the dragon causing it to reel back from the blow, shaking its head violently.
Using Shadow Movement Sapphire teleported to right below the dragon's neck and swung her katana upwards, slicing off the dragon's head. Its body slumped to the ground just as its head hit the earth, a large puddle of blood forming around it.
"Well, I did say I will be very hungry, but you didn't have to go out of your way to get me a dragon to eat." Winter chuckled, sitting on a branch not far, opposite to the charred ground.
Sapphire flicked the blood off her katana before sheathing it, not paying mind to Winter.
"Experience Threshold reached, Midnight wolf (Ambusher) has advanced from level 6 to level 25. All core stats have been increased. Proficiency-based skills level up bonus:
"Why are there always so many?" Sapphire sighed.
"So many of what?" Winter questioned, dropping down from the branch.
"Never mind that, you can eat it." Sapphire sighed as she walked past Winter.
"I don't really feel like eating an entire dragon, we can share." Winter offered nudging Sapphire.
"Fine, Whatever." Sapphire as she turned around, not feeling necessarily hungry, but having a desire to eat anything regardless.
Sapphire seemed very sure that Winter ate eighty percent of the dragon, but chose not to point it out, she did just evolve afterall, and Sapphire returned what she did after she first evolved. Having eaten and with nothing specific to do, Sapphire chose to take a look at things she did not understand.
"Stat info: Energy: It is the energy contained by the core of any Krystallite. This energy replaces hunger and is used for basic life processes like regeneration, respiration, etc. Energy also regenerates at a slow rate when the individual is resting, though it is insignificant as compared to the overall energy. Fastest way to regenerate energy is to consume high energy containing consumables. Unlike other stats, when energy is at the limit which the core can contain, any excess energy gained or regenerated is utilized in upgrading the core. This increases the core's toughness and max energy capacity. When MP and Stamina are also at their limit it boosts the speed at which the core upgrades itself."

So basically it is the more I eat the stronger I get. I was really thinking Winter would be much stronger than me after evolving, but I guess that didn't happen either.
"Where are we off to next?" Winter questioned from her spot on a large exposed tree root.
"How about east?" Sapphire offered, sitting on a branch right above Winter.
"Not a problem with me." Winter agreed getting up and stretching. "That dragon was very filling, not the best tasting but still alright."
"Didn't ask." Sapphire growled, landing on the ground beside Winter.
"Not one for small talk are you?" Winter sighed as she shook her head. "Despite being so small." She added under breath, quietly enough for Sapphire to not hear it.
"Let's get moving." Sapphire ordered pulling her hat lower.
"Certainly." Winter agreed putting her hat back on, glad that her words were not heard.
"Call me short again and I will remove a head from your height." Sapphire snarled as she walked ahead.
"I would still be taller but sure." Winter mumbled, walking right behind Sapphire.
