It took Sapphire a moment to realize it was the same girl whom Kurai had met back then, and instantly became friends with. While her name escaped Sapphire's mind, her scent and her looks were still there, and she was certain it was the same one.
"So, what do we have here, two silly little wolves on their way to danger," She observed with a chuckle. "The name is Fi by the way, try not to forget it next time, we will meet again a great number of times afterall, whether you like it or not."
While Sapphire was glad it was Fi, she was still breathing heavily, not due to being in danger however.
"Phoenix (Queen), name: Fi, level 1302. Stat appraisal failed (Reason: .Too high to appraise). Skill appraisal failed (Too high level to appraise). Titles:
"What are you?" Sapphire gasped under her breath.
"Say something?" Fi inquired turning to her, a smile on her face.
"No, nothing, just talking to myself." Sapphire replied getting up. "Anyways the two of us should get going, we have somewhere to be."
"Why in such a hurry? Don't be scared I won't harm either of you, I definitely don't plan to be a hurdle. I was just on my way to somewhere and I spotted you, so I just decided to check on you. Kurai told me to check on you whenever I can while he searches for the person I am also trying to find," Fi explained.
"Who are you trying to find exactly?" Sapphire inquired.
"It's a girl," Fi described, "slightly smaller than you, a hybrid, mainly blood wolf, phoenix and excalius wyvern. She uses a katana and has two different colored eyes and-"
"Kessho?" Sapphire asked.
"Oh, so you have seen her? How was she doing?" Fi inquired.
"She was doing well, last time I saw her she was perfectly fine, I doubt anything is strong enough to harm her anyways," Sapphire informed, "except you," she added under her breath.
"Oh that's good to hear, I was worried about her, I don't want my first meeting with her to be me helping her afterall, I want to just walk up to her and introduce myself." Fi explained to Sapphire and Winter.
"I also think we should get going now, it's not good for us to delay this sort of important work," Winter interjected.
The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
"What sort of work? I can help you with it, I don't have to rush anyways," Fi offered.
"We were going to rescue some wolves who were captured by humans," Winter explained.
"Oh, that," Fi replied, realizing.
The air suddenly got heavy, and both Winter and Sapphire could tell Fi was angry, even though she didn't look like it. The difference in their power was just so great that even such a small change as that was a great deal for Sapphire and Winter.
"Let's go to this city, I will go my own way after that work is done." Fi offered, with a commanding undertone, which both Winter and Sapphire noticed. Sapphire and Winter quickly got up and followed Fi. She stood quietly for a minute after taking a step ahead, thinking to herself. "Teleportation will be quicker." She stated turning to the two.
"Wait, telepor-" Winter questioned but didn't get to finish as the three of them were warped through space right to the middle of the human city.
Winter and Sapphire looked around in awe for a moment before getting a hold of themselves. Two wings slowly unfolded from Fi's back, and she plucked three feathers from each. "Phoenixal art: Rain of Flames." She chanted tossing the six feathers into the air.
The feathers formed a magic circle each, and the magic circles launched a barrage of feather-like projectiles high into the air. After reaching a great height the projectiles descended again, striking all over the entire city, exploding wherever they landed. In the matter of half a minute, the entire city got turned to ruins. Sapphire barely got the chance to even look at how the city was before, now only ruins remained with water submerging a majority of the city as the dams were destroyed.
"What about the wolves?" Winter exclaimed.
"They are all in the building below us, don't worry, they are safe," Fi reassured.
Winter breathed a sigh of relief and the three went ahead to enter the building, which was completely empty, save for the different wolves who were sitting in cages, all in panic due to the loud noises. Fi took a short while to calm them all down before using her magic to teleport them all to the tundra after removing their neckbands.
"That was light work." Fi sighed, stretching her body.
"For you." Winter sighed, still shook from the earlier display of power.
"Anyways, I will get going now, have this as a gift from me." Fi smiled handing Sapphire a large reddish-pink feather, most likely belonging to her.
"What is this for?" Sapphire questioned.
"You will find out in due time, for now, hope you have a great journey, and see you later." Fi waved to them as she activated her teleportation spell and sent them away, in the middle of a large grassland.
"Well," Winter sighed, "now we have no clue of where we are."
"We still have a map so I think we can figure it out," Sapphire pointed out, "not being around someone as unpredictable and borderline insane as her is good."
Spreading out the map the two looked at it for a while, failing figure out where they were. They could see a city to their south, but they were unaware which one on the map it was. With lack of options they decided to head for it.
"We might just find something of use there." Sapphire suggested with a shrug.
"Not like we have another option, I hope we don't see that phoenix again," Winter sighed.
As much as I might hate to admit it, that girl knows a lot, a lot more than me or that dragon. I need to find her again and talk to her soon. Sapphire sighed, leading the way to the city.
