Chapter 5: Union, Family, and Preparation

David Yang and Tina saw each other almost every day. They exercised, flew, and studied together. One day, Tina suggested, "Let's go boating on Lake Aili."

"Great! I've been wanting to take you out but didn't know where to go," David said.

So, they walked and flew to the lake. They rented a boat and slowly rowed towards the center of the lake. The sky was blue with white clouds, and in the distance, a group of white swans floated on the clear water. One can easily see through the bottom of the lake. Seeing how clear the water was, David couldn't help but ask, "The water here is so clear; hasn't it ever been polluted?"

"Some of our water sources were polluted too, but we developed a universal purifier. Just a few drops in the water, and it's clean," Tina explained.

David said nothing, just continued rowing, thinking to himself how much Earth's water resources had been polluted and how wonderful it would be to use the universal purifier to remove the pollution. Tina noticed his silence and said, "What's on your mind? Are you thinking about learning how to make the universal purifier?"

"You really know me well; that's exactly what I'm thinking," David said.

"Alright, I'll help you learn," Tina said gently.

"Isn't it difficult to learn?" David asked.

"Don't worry, I'll take you to experts for anything you don't understand," Tina reassured him.

"You're so good to me!" David said. He thought about how wonderful it would be to have Tina by his side for life. Mustering his courage, David looked at Tina and said, "Will you stay with me for the rest of my life?"

Tina's heart began to race. "What did you just say?" Tina asked, needing confirmation.

"Tina, I love you. Will you marry me? I don’t have much, but I'll cook for you every day and take care of you for the rest of my life," David said emotionally.

Tina's eyes filled with tears, and she firmly said, "I will." Overjoyed, David shouted, “Yes! I love you so much Tina." Then he began singing loudly. The two of them were immersed in happiness.

A month later, David Yang and Tina had their wedding. After the wedding, Tina moved into David's home. They lived together in happiness, never arguing. A year later, they had twins—a boy and a girl—both of whom had wings. Clearly, Tina’s genes were dominant. David happily busied himself with taking care of the children while learning to make the universal purifier, exercise power equipment, and power-storing shoes. Tina's mom often came over to help with the kids.

Seven years passed in the blink of an eye. The children grew up and were ready to start primary school. Through hard work and with Tina's help, David finally learned how to make the universal purifier, exercise power equipment, and power-storing shoes. David began to think about returning to Earth.

One night, David called Tina to the bedside, held her hand, and said, "Tina, I want to go back to Earth. Will you come with me?"

Tina paused for a moment and asked, "Will you come back after returning to Earth?"

"Of course, our children are here. Come to Earth with me!" David replied.

Seeing Tina hesitate, David continued, "I need you. Earth has cars, trains, skyscrapers, snow, and many delicious foods."

"Alright, I'll go with you, but you have to promise to come back!" Tina said. David, overjoyed, hugged her tightly.

David and Tina submitted an application to return to Earth, which was approved a week later. Moda called them and said, "Planet Gleamira does not interfere in the affairs of other planets, but since Tina married an Earthling, she can participate in Earth-related activities as an individual. Your trip to Earth will strengthen our connection with Earth and enhance our friendship with Earthlings. I support you."

It would take six months to build the spacecraft for their journey to Earth. During this time, David and Tina underwent intensive astronaut training. David was fine since he was already an astronaut, but it was tougher for Tina, who was a doctor. However, she overcame many challenges and successfully completed the training.

With everything ready, it was time to leave. Tina tearfully bid farewell to her parents and children. Her mother couldn't bear to see her go and hugged her, crying. "Be careful on the road, and once you're on Earth, the two of you must stay together. David, take good care of Tina," Tina's mother said.

"Don't worry, Mom. I'll take good care of Tina. Thank you for taking care of our kids, and please take care of yourselves," David said.

Tina's father added, “Don’t worry honey, just think of them as going traveling, to another planet, they will gain so much experience." Then he turned to David and Tina, saying, "You two can rest assured. We'll take good care of the children. We wish you all the best!"

David and Tina waved to everyone and boarded the spacecraft. It took off, climbing higher and higher, heading into space.
