Worldbuilding and Supplementary Information on Story Elements Introduced Thus Far

Statues: Autonomous, moving metal statues that serve the Royal Family. They are made from a variety of metals, each serving a specific function and bearing a specific position in the hierarchy. Despite their varied kinds, they are low in number and highly valuable. Only able to be forged and crafted by Metallurgists. It is not entirely known what allows them to operate, be it magic or something else. Their performance and abilities are dictated entirely from their base metal and associated functions. Industrial metals tend to be stronger and functional, while precious metals, due to their relation to nobility and the arts, tend to be softer but more nuanced and capable in compositions and music and such. They are crafted and chiseled to look like the ideal human form. For a clearer image, think of the average greek statue in all it's classical handsomeness. But uh, without any of the compromising anatomical parts.

Mythical Metals: Within this world lay mystical metals the likes of which one can barely comprehend.. Orichalcum, Adamantium, and such. No statues have ever been made with these simply because they're too valuable to be used, not to mention there isn't enough laying around to make half a statue, let alone a full one.

Metallurgists: Specialized, elite Smiths capable of creating sentient Statues from metal. Depending on the metal type, the price, time, and effort can vary, but all are usually in the upper range of extremes. Due to this, they are not able to make Statues often. They are responsible for maintaining the current Statues, and because of their position, wield power above that of the nobles. They answer directly to the King, and its said their numbers are fewer than thirty. They are presided over by a group of Five Chiefs.

Peasant Metal Statues: Statues made from 'ugly' metals, such as Bronze or Tin. Typically responsible for cleaning and general maintainance of the entire Castle. Hard working, but not usually strong or highly valued beyond their inherent value as Sentient beings.

Industrial Statues: Stronger metals such as Iron and Lead. Despite being equivalent to 'peasant' Statues in terms of looks, they are still held in a higher light due to their technical prowess. Immune to fatigue and never tiring, they can work endlessly and thus prove invaluable in supporting the Industries within the Capital.

Alloyed Metal Statues: Statues made from alloys. A unique subsect of Industrial Statues. Due to the Kingdom's culture, the purity of metal is highly regarded and sought after; despite their superior strength and performance, they are mocked and overlooked often because of this sentiment. In this aspect, given that peasant Statues are at least pure metal, they are treated better than Alloyed Metal Statues. However, their specialty is in craftsmanship. Many function as blacksmiths or armorers, as well as making textiles and other technical items, just like the other Industrial Statues.

Pure Metal Statues: Statues made from only the most prestigious and beautiful of metals, such as Platinum, Gold, and Silver. They are the personal caretakers of the Royal Family and typically excel in everything, at the cost of being good at nothing in particular. Due to their sheer purity, many of the weaker metals are not suitable for combat or any strenuous tasks due to their ductility and malleable nature.

Fantastical Elements: Magic is not mentioned, but it's not really present in this world in the traditional sense. There's a unique system in place, but it won't be explored until much later. For now, the only magic you'll reliably see is the magic circuits that allow the Statues to exist. There are also fantastical beasts such as Dragons and such, but the story will always prioritize Statues above all else.
